So you're going to make us re-level all our exotics in the DLC?
I'm okay with the upgrading exotics through RNG/Xur a week and the glimmer cost, but making us re-level the whole damn weapon/armor? Maybe I might be getting my panties in knots over nothing but seems kind of counter productive.
I know, I know it doesn't take that long to level a piece of gear up, but couldn't they just add more nodes to the tree?

EDIT: Seems people are thinking I am advocating a free ride to the new version exotics, I am not. I want some kind of work involved in that respect. I would like to seem some compensation for the time/materials/work invested into the old version exotics, for instance more upgrade nodes.

Apparently, once you've traded in your old exotic for the new and improved version with better stats it will level up much faster then the original. Until we play the expansion though it will be hard to tell whether this upgrade time will be noticeably shorter or just marginally shorter.

Think about it like this: by upgrading you're getting an end game gun at launch. Had you of not upgraded you would have had to earn marks, and possibly rep (which would take time), or get one to drop, and then fully upgrade that. By upgrading you, not only, get to keep your current gun that you're already used to but you cut out all the things it would take to get a max damage weapon. I'd say Bungle did a lot of the work for us already. You could, conversely, decide not to upgrade the gun and it would still probably get you through the new raid on normal, get a gun from that or a vendor or Xur, and then upgrade that one.

4 通の返信The only problem I have is re upgrading the armor. I will have to drop to 28/29 and work my way back to 30. It may not take long but I would like to remain 30 for the next strike/raid.

1 返信You will be leveling gear one way or the other. If you can't upgrade your exotics then you need to get new gear and level that, they are at least giving us the option of what we level. Personally Ice Breaker is a no brainer

3 通の返信You [b]don't[/b]have to relevel your exotics. If you want to upgrade them to higher attack/defense then you need to trade in the one you have to get the [i]upgraded[/i] version. If you're fine with having a 300 attack exotic then you don't have to do anything. If you want more attack, you have to upgrade it. Which makes complete sense

12 通の返信The article does state that it's optional, so no one is forcing it on us. BUT, if you want your existing exotics to be even better than before, then it could be worth it. Personally, I like leveling stuff up, and now with new ways to obtain mats, and the exclusion of ascendants (thank crom), leveling exotics again is going to be a breeze.

9 通の返信i dont see whats the big deal about that, 1. your weapon gets more powerfull 2.you can just buy upgrade materials from every frikkin faction vendor 3.you dont have to grind ascendants forever to max your exotic out(levelling a exotic to max only takes 3-4 days of bounties anyway) only Problem will be PvP when the non-dlcers start complaining about the (once again) overpowered suros

5 通の返信1) you arent being FORCED to relevel exotics its a purely optional choice 2) you will be leveling all the new weapons and gear anyway 3) would you not prefer to keep you're beloved exotics and have them viable in the new content, seriously no other game that adds new content via dlc gives you the option. Old gear becomes obsolete and you have to discard it. Don't know about you but ditching my Gjallarhorn for an untested and unproven weapon (Dragons breath) that i might not even like seems rediculous. 4) stop being buthurt, everyone wants to be unique now you damn well can

5 通の返信I just spent the last few weeks doing bounty after bounty on 2 accounts to level icebreaker, TLW, Truth and Bad juju ready for new content. And its taking forever and what was the point.
