Normal is actually easy. Hard is a completely different game, different strategies. it's easy to say just don't die but when you get massive splash damage, 2 hobs shoot you at once, any thing else damage you, you can be dead before you have the opportunity to move and if 1 person goes down, especially early, it can quite often mean a wipe. We have a regular sort of group we do it with quite smoothly, we have invited 1-2 random 29-30s on the odd occasion because they "had run the raid plenty of times" but that was on normal and in the end because of 1-2 persons lack of knowledge and or experience it was not possible. You can explain all you want but it won't make them better.

Make who better? And if you're wiping for one person? That's just a little much. They wanted to wipe when it was just the 3 of us but I told them no and we ended up finishing it. The only reason we didn't complete it was because 4 of them had to get off. Skill isn't number one. That's my point. Someone who knows what they are doing and is ok at the game, can easily beat the raid.

And that is not skill? There is no way you done gatekeepers on hard with 3 people and only 1 being 30. Please give me a quick run through of your strategy? I'm guessing you've never actually done hard start to finish

Yes we did. We had both relics already. One kid died in the portal. A second died defending the plate, there was just 4 left. I was defending the guy who was killing the minotaurs at the top of the stairs, the two relic holders were killing the vex coming out the portals. The guy I was defending died by a Minotaur and so I had to take his place. The two relic holders kept killing the vex and we held it off till that part was complete. And no I have yet to complete the full raid on hard but that's due to having to stop after a few wipes on Atheon because several people had to get off.
