Hunters, Titans, Warlocks. We all share our similarities and differences. We all have our pros and cons. So what's the superior class?
None. There's not one class in the game that is superior. I realize that I have 2 warlocks, but please let me tell you the dumb reason behind that: I had a 29 Titan and decided to delete that titan in order to make a slot for another warlock just because I didn't like that my first warlock was an Exo. Dumb right? Don't worry I'll be deleting that other warlock soon. I'll be using him simply for the ability to play the nightfall 3 times and stuff like that. I will continue my titan and I'm excited about it.
Now that that's out of the way, I'd like to address something. Sunsingers. This may sound a bit crazy, but I feel that Fireborn should be removed and and replaced with a skill that is just as useful. Healing friends perhaps? Why would I want this? Many people are resorting to playing Sunsinger just because of Fireborn. Gives us loyal Sunsingers the label "careless". My primary character is a Sunsinger and I don't even use Fireborn for anything other than the raid. I enjoy using Song of Flame to help my team out. The ones that continue using the Sunsinger subclass are the ones who realize the true potential. Self res doesn't make a Sunsinger a Sunsinger. What about Flame Shield? Viking Funeral? Gift of the Sun?
Don't even get me started on how mistreated hunters and 29s are. I've seen Sunsingers go down faster than hunters in the raid. Class doesn't matter at all. Skill does. Raid leaders may be looking for those warlocks, but I bet that raid leader doesn't have experience in the raid as much as some people out there. Don't want to be a brag f*g, but I can play any part of the raid on any class. My friends pick me up for raids no matter what class I'm on. They know I can solo gatekeeper, use relic, etc. Point is don't play a class for the abilities. Play what class you enjoy playing and become skilled. Become legend.

Skill>Gear>Class Class is the base unit. In order to play the game, you need to roll. Hopefully you're comfortable with your choice. Above that is your gear. If you don't gear correctly in regards to your playstyle; fail. Above both of those is skill. If you flat out can't do it; fail.

1 返信What? They aren't exactly equal. I'm not going to comment but for you to say "There's not one class in the game that is superior" is sort of silly.
-
1 返信I agree with Kactaar, there is no such thing as a superior class. All classes focus on an individual aspect. Titans focus on armour/defense, Warlock focus on recovery, and Hunters focus primarily on agility. In the end, it all balances throughout the three classes. The only way to make your class superior is your skill. Your skill is the only thing that puts you above anyone.
-
2 通の返信lets agree on this part, warlock is the best class for a noob, it gives him/her a second change in the raid on hard. if you don't use fireborn then it's just as hard as every other class. there is no difference in damage armor and what not. only in your jumping, grenades and super. im a titan and those grenades hurt man like really hurt.
-
2 通の返信What you guys don't realize is that the classes are not most defined by there supers. Titan has most damage absorbtion. Hunter is the faster mover all around. Warlocks re-gen the quickest. You super can only be used rarely and has very little effect on your gameplay. The upgrades for the attributes is where the real differences lay.

I am a sunsinger warlock, and I barely ever use radiance. I only use it if there is an absolute need for it. I rarely die in the raid except for wiping, which happens a lot. In the nightfall, I only use it if I am far away from my teammates in a boss fight. I only use radiance 1-2 times every week. I am also very very cautious. Maybe too much.

8 通の返信Sunsinger is kinda bullshit. If it was a more supportive super like a heal or buff instead of an "all guns blazing" ability it'd be much more useful.
-
1 返信Like your post dude you seem like a level headed guy based on your replies. I completely agree. There is no "best" class or "masterrace". It all depends on how you play to that particular class' strengths. I've got all 3 amd like them all for different reasons.

3 通の返信Undefinedにより編集済み: 12/5/2014 8:14:05 PMThe only thing I don't like about Fireborn is that I enjoy Voidwalking and depending on who I do the raid with, the first thing that comes out of their mouth is, "Are you a sunsinger and do you have res on?" I like singers with Song of Flames much more, but I understand people longing for a safety net. You're completely right about being more careless. It pisses me off that I "hold on to a super just in case the team/I die" so I end up playing more offensively or sometimes just purposely leeroying things around to waste my super. Too many people overhype over Fireborn and think they/the-warlock depends on it, even if the warlock disagrees...I'll probably tend to raid with the Warlock a lot less and pretend I don't have Singer leveled for anyone who does not know me...it's annoying. I keep seeing posts saying Warlocks are great for noobs in reads due to Fireborn, but from personal experience I feel they're great for noob fireteams grasping for straws--no warlock is useful with fireborn if it is already dead before the super is built up, and I for sure survive the shit attacking me a lot better as a Voidwalker or a Titan (either subclass). The assumption really pisses me off, as I'm more used to play one subclass over the other but everyone just asks for a warlock and immediately want a walking Phoenix.

1 返信bomma26により編集済み: 12/5/2014 7:37:03 PMNot just skill but I'd say integrity is what sets players apart, where you choose to position yourself at any given stage in the raid! You can only go so far with skill alone whereas a player that is wise needs not to be that skilled at all!!!

1 返信Madanovaにより編集済み: 12/5/2014 12:03:26 AMI play sunsinger because i like their grenades. Plus their jump ability fits me (i suck at blink. One reason i cant play voidwalker). I use fireborn but im not a careless player which is why in most strikes, i finish it w/o using any super. Only lately i changed this and try to maximize the super and oh my goodness is radiance powerful. With this, im training this new playstyle more and hopefully i can use in normal raid.

5 通の返信I would MUCH rather play voidwalker. the only time I use sunsinger is if there is a solar burn or if I am doing the hard difficulty raid. I am not saying i use it because I suck, but because of the fact that if you die you CANT RESPAWN!!

1 返信I think you hit the nail right on the head with this post Kactaar. What really sets skilled warlocks apart from the not so skilled ones is the ability to NOT use fireborn and still do well. Now I think fireborn still has it's place especially in the second half of Vault of Glass when you could die from the many glitches that plague that place, but I have the most fun on my warlock when I'm not using fireborn. Specifically on confluxes. There's nothing more fun than constantly competing with your fellow raid members on who can make the most orbs because you're all orb swapping and getting your super every time it expires. I wish more warlocks would learn to play without depending on fireborn, a stingy warlock doesn't help anyone and it's not near as fun.

4 通の返信for PVP there is a tier list. Hunter>Warlock>>>Titan. It's just hilarious how Titan is the "Melee" class but has the worst melee in the game. It's also hilarious how Warlock is tankier due to on hit shield effects, better lifesteal, etc and dat sunsinger doh.
-
I play a lot of PvP. I have noticed that Hunters are fairly powerful in all modes of play. Their exotic items, especially the helms are among the best exotics in the game. Yes, Titans do have some good use with Ward of Dawn and yes Warlocks do have Energy Drain which is fairly powerful. The reason is their supers. Gunslinger and Bladedancer are both over time. What i mean is that say, Nova Bomb for Warlocks. That is a only single use. Sunsinger is ok since its also time based but it isnt that effective. Fist of Havoc is again single use. On that note, Nova Bomb and Fist of Havoc CAN be avoidable. Bladedancers and Gunslingers are very hard to counter since one hit can kill you,

2 通の返信my clan pretty much all have one of each class at 30, we run the raids, weekly's, nightfalls every week. in the beginning we used to alternate who would use each class so we could ensure that we would have at least one lock and titan in any said group. after a while we realised that we are skilled enough to not rely on self rez or bubbles for safety and that its our skill that pulls us through and not our classes. sure self can come in handy if you make a mistake and weapons of light help you dps but it cant replace skill, communication, and teamwork. now we just run the raid on all our characters because we all know our teammates have the skill to use them. when people say master race I think it may be the crutch of gameplay or skill that may be preventing them from seeing the benefits of other classes. or perhaps they are just unfamiliar with the mechanics that make other classes usefull. it may be inexperience as well. if you cant play all classes and understand their strengths and weaknesses, well that sucks for you. if you have found the one that fits your playstyle stick with it and enjoy. I like em all and know how to use them. that's all it takes

4 通の返信I don't get why people dislike hunters in the raid. I actually prefer my Hunter in the raid. I can focus on suplcants against atheon and if I get teleported than I can wipe out the enemies with one super without the relic holder even needing to move.
-
I like Titans, personally, but I enjoy playing all classes because each one feels different. I admit, I do find Sunsinger fireborn useful in the hard raid and nightfall, but I can hold my own without it. I just don't want to be the one that ruins the run by making a silly mistake and dying (or the numerous raid glitches that screw you over). I am not usually the first to die (even though I'm a 29 and my mates are 30s) so I like to think I'm not that bad. I do not think any class is above another as all have very powerful abilities wich could all be described as OP in some way or another. If you think arc blade is op in crucible what is stopping you making a Hunter and using it yourself? Same with any other class ability. If you nerf it for others, you're only going to complain when you start using that ability/class and its no where near as good.
-
If you complain about classes being OP then your fukin garbage!! I lose all respect for someone that complains about classes! do you know how furious it is when a titan smashes 2-4 of your friends and you in the mix? or how a fukin annoying is when you shoot at a titan and he's about to die and he blows up his shield? what about when a warlocks novabomb the shiit out of you and 1-3 more ppl? or when u kill a warlock and he comesback alive and rambo-ing the shiit out of people? and what about when you die in an instant and wondering wtf disintegrated you, and u see a flaming pistol? or when you see a fukin blue blade pinballing back an forth at your teammates and next thing you know you have to press square to respawn? IM NOT COMPLAINING THAT ITS CHEAP IM JUST SAYING WE ALL DEAL WITH THE SAME SHIT!!

3 通の返信Sums up my feelings exactly. I play my Titan because I think they look awesome... and the name, TITAN! It's not because I cower in my bubble, it's not because I have to Fist of Panic a hunter that just uncloaked. It's because it is my DESTINY, and I will play what I think is awesome!
