Worthless Patch 1.0.4
So this patch is absolutely worthless! So disappointed in the developers at Bungie. All style, no substance.
Exotics:
So we have to buy an upgrade from Xur to max out an exotic? How is this an improvement? Oh, I forgot we can just dismantle unwanted exotics, this is a joke since exotics are near impossible to get unless you buy from Xur, so again how is this an improvement? Exotics are stupid for the most part anyway, most legendaries are better.
Yay, you buffed and nerfed some weapons based on people complaining on the forums! Do you not the read the complaints about all the other issues you have in this game? Screw the exotics and buffs/nerfs. What we really need is you to address is the raid! Oh yes, you did!
Raid:
The raid patches are AWESOME! You fixed Atheon teleporting the wrong number of people. YAY! I will believe this when I see it. How about ALL the other problems with the raid? The regenerating health/shield Praetorian on Venus portal. Did you fix that? Nope! Hard mode players who get teleported and are in a detention bubble. Did you fix that? Nope! Relic shield bubble that allows players to still die inside of the protection. Did you fix that? Nope! The incredibly broken loot system that provides you with nothing but Chatterwhite or materials for beating your toughest challenge. Did you address that? Nope! You addressed nothing important, but “fix” the Templar so he can’t be pushed, so a two minute fight has increased to be a five minute pointless fight. Good job! You are really pushing the envelope now! Groundbreaking!
You got my money upfront for the expansion/dlc, so shame on me, but how many people will still support this game in the future when you won’t fix legitimate issues in this game? I love Destiny! I have given it over 700 hours of time, but that doesn’t change the fact that you need to fix these issues. These are just the ones you “addressed” in this patch, but doesn’t include the multitude of other issues that the community brings to your attention. For example, what about the fact that you can receive less of a reward from the nightfall strike than you can from the weekly strike (i.e. 5 or 7 strange coins as compared to 9 from weekly), what about grimoire cards that won’t unlock, what about the option for matchmaking for the raid (personally, I don’t like this, but your customers want it), what about the fact that there is no real purpose to mess with the vendors because they sell nothing of consequence (I mean really, the Cryptarch sells only white and green engrams??? WTF? How does anyone over level 12 need to buy anything from him?) Make the vendors relevant even if it cost something outrageous!
You have the framework for the greatest game ever, but you are squandering it away by not fixing the real problems in the game. The raid should be the thing that makes this game memorable, but you are patching exploits and not fixing actual problems. If someone wants cheese let them have it! How does it hurt anyone? I don’t care one way or the other, personally I like a fight! I have no Mythoclast or helmet because I didn’t do the hard mode cheese. I want to earn it, but that doesn’t mean it is the most pressing issue you need to fix. Your Templar “patch” will most likely result in more glitches to that boss battle. So “fixing” one will only create more. Not to mention, someone will figure out another way. They always do. Crota’s End will have exploits and glitches because you will not have put in the time for them either. You are to busy buffing/nerfing things to appease the masses, but you need to fix legitimate problems. I am sure I am a dog howling in the wind, but if more people would howl about real problems and less about nerf this and buff this, we might actually have an amazing game.
Ok, community, give your hate because we know it is what you do best, but I wrote this to try and get us a better gaming experience, not as a whine. I love Destiny! The time I have devoted to it should prove that. I want it to be the best it can be, hopefully you do as well and will speak up for real change and not nerfs/buffs. Peace.

2 通の返信Didn't read the majority of your post as it all seemed a bit ranty and rubbish. Exotic aren't really that hard to get. Are you sure your playing it right? Maybe you should get rid of destiny, I don't think it's really your thing. Have you tried candy crush, that's popular

They actually did change that all you get from the raid is shards and chatter white shader. They increased the chances of several other items. Also, they buffed and decreased only exotic weapons. Exotics are supposed to be the best weapons in the game, but there were legendaries that performed just as good or better. So it makes sense to buff up the rarest weapons that are supposed to be the best. This really was a great patch. They can't fix every little thing in one update. It takes time. No game is going to be flawless. The game definitely was made better yesterday. The patch made the game much better, and if they stay on track for making things better, the game could redeem itself after such a bad start. (Story still sucks though)

This is probably the best update that Bungie has made for Destiny so far. I don't get the hate. 1- Exotic weapons were too easy to level up and max out.... and strange coins were too easy to get, allowing people to buy EVERYTHING that Xur sells EVER. By making it so that you need to use those coins to buy upgrade materials from Xur, it adds value to all those Strange Coins and makes it harder to collect. It also makes Exotics more rare due to the rarity of strange coins. A+. 2 - Outside of the Suros being unfairly nerfed, things seem pretty well balanced. Complain all you want, they messed up BIG TIME last time they did this. 3 - Two people teleporting into the portals during the Atheon fight is near INSTANT death, especially on hard. This is the biggest problem they needed to fix. Obviously they still have to fix health regen issues (the portal bubble thing doesn't happen that frequently) but that simply might be a harder fix. As long as they are working one bug at a time, I dont' have a problem. These are all very positive steps. The last two updates have catered to community needs. Why are you still complaining?

I think it would be hilarious for all of us PVE players to swamp PVP and either go afk or play like crap to ruin it for the PVP players. I would love to sit back and watch the whining be posted on the forums. They would probably call for Bungie to nerf us....LOLZ

3 通の返信Everything they do is a work in progress. The game is and will change as items get worked and reworked for balance. Had I never played League of Legends I would not understand this approach. But as there will never be a League of Legends 2 and as it is currently the most played game on the planet, I think they are doing something right. For the kids that get Destiny this Christmas they will never know the loot cave, they won't have any ill will towards the cryptarch, and they'll have multiple ways to reach light level 30. Its almost a different game already and its only been 3 months. I look forward to new patches, I enjoy people finding new cheeses to counter the "exploit fixes". Bungie is keeping the game fresh and they'll be doing it for at least 10 yrs

2 通の返信I believe in this post with the most respect my friend. You are 100% right. And this being a very positive community post will continue to get nothing but hate even though you are correct. I myself have devoted this amount of time as well as my friends, and want nothing more but for this game to be epic. I have tried over and over to get the positive people in the community to ban together and have yet to succeed because of all the senselessly writing of hate dribble that clogs up the positive post like yours here. All we want is for the real problems to be fixed so that we may enjoy the game we wish to succeed while they then fix the other minor issue like weapons amd armor skills. This stuff should wait until the real issues are fixed. But alas the senseless dribble that means less gets fixed first because the 12 year olds use to playing cod get killed to much and cry nerf. Glogging up forums for nerfs and wines is what they do best. You my friend and the rest i hope that we may see the positive community come alive like I know they can. And my hopes still rest in the hands of bungie to make this game legendary.

But no, you complain about needing an exotic shard for upgrading exotic guns. If legendaries are better, why are you even upgrading your exotics then? Lol what?? In a part of a game which was meant to be played by a team, coordinating attacks etc You actually complain about the purpose of a boss. A damn challenge (especially on hard). One of the few the game has. That goes beyond every logic of every videogame. Oh wait, so what's the point of even having bosses, with attacks, patterns in general etc then? Why not just making every strike and final boss just stupid dregs? So you can one shot them for a less-than-two-minutes-fight? Must be really fun, eh. Ok, let's assume the boss chamber for Crota has no ledge, right. Are you asking for ledges then because fighting Crota is stupid as well and takes too long. Seriously, sometimes I wonder who is more stupid. The designers and their decisions (for actual having legit reasons for the changes here and there) or the user base playing this game?

Some valid points but personally I haven't experienced any of these problems. What they did for exotics is awesome. Most of the problems seem to be with the hard raid, which if it wasn't for the sake of collecting all exotics, I wouldn't even bother with it. People act like the whole game is about the raid, and these are usually the same people who don't play pvp which is the whole other half of the game. I didn't level up and get my exotics and legendaries to use them on the same bullshit mobs over and over again. Destiny is much more than its one raid.
