I have to say, I honestly don't understand all this angst and malaise directed towards solo players. Allowing people to run content solo should have absolutely no impact on the team players experience. As long as you receive greater rewards & a better experience when you're with a team, why does it matter if someone whom you have no interaction with gets to enjoy their experience too?
I'm not complaining that I can't find teams, it doesn't bother me. I'm not complaining that I don't get to Raid, I never expected to. I don't even care that nearly all the special events are team oriented, because I know the main focus for Bungie is about generating a superior team experience. What I'm requesting is to simply allow Strikes, in any form, to not be co-op ONLY. If they can adjust the rewards & difficulties relative to group size, why not adjust the same things for single players.
If it doesn't effect your personal experience, why do you care what other people get to do? It's not like anyone is asking them to nerf team play or to even make unique content that can ONLY be done solo. Asking for solo options for SOME of the "end game" content doesn't harm anyone. All it does is allow more people to enjoy the game. How could that possibly be a bad thing?
Agreed 100% I'm in the same boat! I preferred solo & now only log on afew times a week!Tuesday to see what nightfall it is & Friday to see what xur has! I did play this weekend to get that husk of the pit! But yeah since they shafted us soloists I have been playing a lot less! :( & as for all the dicks saying it's a team game look @ the nightfall box! It says & I quote "1-3 players" well guess what solo=1 jeez guys what do they teach in school nowadays?
