I'll still be playing it - I see it being my main game for a long time yet. Just hoping they make upgrading and gaining materials less mundane - and that the story element gets up to a great standard. More randomness in the game would go a long way too. But yeah, I'll definitely still be playing it.

It like to see an upgrade system for armour. Eg. Uncommon >rare by putting an inscription,pattern,colour or something Rare>legendary by playing raid, a ton of strikes, or a load of crucibles. Adding motes of light for light levels. then finally naming that piece of armour.

When destiny 2 releases I hope for there to be a major story and mechanics shift. I envision possibly a changing of allegiances even like the last city is destroyed or abandoned and we have to join forces with the queen. This could be accompanied with the destruction or a change in the ghosts. This would justify through story a change in abilities used by each class or even the invention of new classes altogether. I really hope that they change the intelligence, strength, discipline mechanics because they are currently boring, just 3 forms of cool down reduction. I hope also that skill trees are more diverse and evolved then they are currently.

Bungie will have shed the last gen consoles and will releases the follow up title that everyone will backhandely praise as " This is what the first should have been"

I would like to see them expand upon the existing loot system with more options for people who do not/can't raid often. I wouldn't mind seeing some sort of a (limited scope) token system for loot as it is a legitimate gripe for people who either earn nothing but shards/energy OR get the same drops every time. More spawn locations for patrol. Difficulty setting for patrol. More variety in bounties - longer chained bounties like what is being advertised in TDB. Sparrow Races (of course) More variety in mission mechanics - anything from chase sequences and vehicle battles to friendly npcs that can actually die and need to be escourted. There are several threads with ideas about mission types, I'll not repeat it all here. Exotic gear to feel more special and harder to choose between given the 1 slot restriction - different looking 'skill trees' for exotic gear. Space combat would be preferred but really anything to do with our ships beyond loading screens. A tangible atmosphere of constant fear/dread of the Darkness and its armies besieging earth - currently I do not feel any sense of urgency when fighting the enemies, certainly nothing that matches the mission VO or the context of a desperate fight for survival that is implied in the basis of the game.

RIP COD. For me anyway. Such a breath of fresh air. Destiny will be the game that changed online play for me. FPS background and am happy to re-visit story mode so to speak; while it remaining relevant to other areas of the game i.e.: loot, materials, vanguard / faction marks. I expect new worlds to explore and more insight into the story. I expect aerial gun fights: PVP /PVE etc. New Supers... IDK but im looking forward to it.

In 2 years we will be playing Destiny 3 (joking). Seriously though Jupiter's moons would be nice. Air battles on the gas giants would be cool too. Events that change the environment permanently as well as dynamic enemy span locations would increase the realism. This could be the next great game franchise if they put a little more effort into the little things.

Crafting would def be cool. Being able to craft those things that Xur sells that increases ur weapon lvls would be really cool! Also, in 2 years i at least want 4 raids to run every week. I would like to also see more gear that stands out other then exotics. The Iron Banner hunter gloves look so AWESOME! I want more gear like this. I would like to see matchmaking in the easier older content raids that most people should be able to breeze through due to being over geared for it. Level cap to 40 by then maybe, since only one expansion is upping us 2 levels. I have about 6 days played across my hunter and warlock. Even though all my rl friends that were playing have jumped shipped im also in for the long haul. Time to find a good clan to join thats both pve/pvp based and isn't full of 13 year olds that sound like hot girls. And OMG : MATCHMADE SPARROW RACES!!!

Trading races ship battles gambling and a lot of variety in raids plus exotic sets

I'd say if you left now and came back in two years I'd like to think the game would be huge in comparison to what it is now

I'll probably stick with it, but I'm done with grinding. There's more to life than endless repetition. In two years I hope we can be having space battles with our collection of ships and having a range of weapon loadouts for ships. We need to take back one planet at a time starting in space, before we get to the ground based missions.

Kids get so up in arms over $60 and $20-$30 DLC's. My god its $100.. get over it. I am looking forward to the future of Destiny, Bungie has already made changes in the game that have made it better. I am very excited to see where they go with it.
