This has been a big annoyance of mine for a while now but my patience has finally hit my limit... I regularly raid with my friendship group - we have 9 people, never hard finding a group. What IS hard however, is finding the Raid Light gear. I've done the raid once a week every week since it started, and for the last month I've been doing it twice on a second Titan to try and boost my odds. By my working out, I've fully run the raid 11 times, with another 2 attempts at the beginning where we stopped at Atheon. The very first time we ran it, I got the Raid boots for my Titan. That was over 2 months ago. Since then, despite all the runs I've done, I've not earned any more Light equipment. I've gotten three guns (AE, VoC and PR) throughout this time, but there's been many weeks where I've either earned nothing but shards/energy or recieved the class item (which I now have had four times...). On the one hand, I accept I'm basically at the will of the RNG here, but on the other hand many people in my group now either have 30's or now have enough gear to hit 30. 2 of them are just short of being able to 30 a second character. Week in, week out I've been helping out and whilst they're celebrating their new stuff I'm gradually getting more and more frustrated that I can't get anywhere. Even those in my group that have only been able to play a few times have more Light gear than I do. It's incredibly frustrating - I've enjoyed Destiny immensely and I always felt willing to push myself along - I was the first in my group to hit 29, which I ended up doing using vendored Vanguard gear since none was dropping for me at the time. In every sense that I can, I earned that gear and I earned that 29 level. Now I'm one of the last to get anywhere near hitting 30 and the only barrier at this point is one I have absolutely no control over - the RNG. I can't even get around this using the Iron Banner rewards since I need a Chest piece, which isn't for sale this round. Even worse, it's so late on now even if I can get the gear in the next couple of weeks it'll be outdated instantly once the expansion lands. Don't get me wrong, I understand that we're not all supposed to get the good stuff straight away and that's what the RNG is for, but for crying out loud make it less harsh. Anyway, sorry for anyone that's actually read all this but I really needed somewhere to rant.
