Non-random teleporting on raid portals

I like this idea (non-random teleporting)

Bungie might downgrade raid to return the non-random teleportation portals, making teams better able to plan their attacks, establishing clear roles and actions for each player on the team. The random teleport kills the chances of planning by the teams. What you think?

    This was only done to try to make the "end game" harder. In my raid teams there were always the same people using the relic and the same people outside the portals. When they changed this it was a little scary to me and I noticed a lot of people who got teleported didn't want to even touch the relic.( I was one of them too). Since the change I have had to do both parts of the Raid so now I'm comfortable where ever I go. Now the reason I said I don't like this idea is because sometimes we bring low level people in too. They cannot be effective at the lower levels and tend to die frequently using the relic. Not to mention the glitch that only sends in 1,or 2 people in, its not fun having to shoot oracles drop relic,shoot oracles drop relic, because even with fully maxed raid guns those things sometimes just seem to take too much damage. The Raid was based on team work, so let us decide what our team wants to do.

  • Did Bungie grow some sense and realize how pathetic and poorly designed it is for a RAID not to have roles? Wow. That'd be something positive for once. They must have looked at the stats and realized nobody wants to go through bugged randomness. Still not holding my breath.

  • I like the random teleports. Makes the fight "harder" by reducing predicability. It's not like shooting oracles is that hard anyways. The whole fight is cake if people know how to do it at least with randomness, you have to adapt a bit.

    • I like the random teleporting. Adds a little chaos to it that's quickly overcome with good communication. And it gives everyone a chance to perform every role, rather than being relegated to guard duty outside of the portals for a few rounds before Atheon bites it.

    • When I first did the raid I loved it even though all I got was materials a shader and a hezen but it was fun because we could plan out eveyones roles and be coordinated and it was more fun than the random one that I did a few days ago because when it's random you're just like ok guys be ready for anything because you may stay or not when you can plan it it requires a lot more coordination and communication but that's just how I feel

    • I'm used to it now, but It's really frustrating for new people, I have seen a lot of people quitting from killing atheon. I think the bugs are the worst part, not the randomness.

      • Idk. I'm better inside the portals especially if I have the relic. But before random teleporting I sucked keeping the portals open. Now I had enough practice with it I'm good outside

        I was against the random teleporting when they first made the change, but having done the raid several times since then, if you have a team that knows what they're doing, it's not much harder at all. Maybe like 10% more difficult, at most. It does make it a good amount harder if your team has someone who can't/won't pull their weight in the fight. Which (a) I suspect is sort of the point, and (b) I sort of agree with. I'm ready for the downvotes. Bring it.

      • Once you go through it it's not that bad. Just find out who has never used relic and they don't use it. Just determine who will be a shooter and who will take the relic. If you can designate someone to take the relic or be a shooter and call your tag when you go in that way you'll know who's in and who's out.
