When I first came to Bungie, posting to this forum about other games was forbidden! It was important to me that gamers had the freedom to express themselves sincerely. I play lots of games. I love Bungie games, but more than one disc spins in my tray. This board was always intended for those conversations.
Sorry that the release of Destiny threw this corner of the forum into disarray. I am thrilled that people are using our site to make friends and play games, but there should be a specific place for that. Yesterday, we built that place. Please link people to there is they come here to look for allies.
Sound off and tell me if the new forum structure is helping.
Thank you.

5 通の返信Why don't you have more Destiny forums, #Gaming is full of plebs. I want Destiny sub forums, armor, weapons, materials, bounties, advice, lore.

Cobravertにより編集済み: 12/8/2014 9:40:10 PM#Community is still as broken if not more so. The new people DO NOT CARE if their posts for LFG, VoG, Nightfall, Daily, Weekly, do not go in #Gaming or #Community. They are also none too happy in being shown where the #Recruitment forums are, no matter how nice you are about it. It seems well past time that You Guys, the Bungie webteam make an announcement on the front page and/or make a banner on each forum to inform people where posts are to go. There are 11 forums dedicated to Destiny, but these 2 (#Gaming and #Community) are under constant bombardment from the new people. I liked it better when we had rules that meant something. At least there was some semblance of order then. Now you literally have to scroll through 13 pages of #Community to find 6 actual #Community posts. (yes, I checked this several times in the past couple of weeks) But this far in the new forum structure has done a little, but as it is will never fixed the problem.

2 通の返信Make the app automatically go to the #Destiny forums for thread instead of #Gaming.

5 通の返信Still thrown in disorder. You really need to make this a news thing, that's our only hope at this point.

5 通の返信It would be a massive improvement for those using the mobile app to see a clear seperation between forums intended for Destiny and the regular B.net forums. It would help the community to self regulate because there would be no confusion as to the proper place for Destiny related topics, eliminating the issue of users misplacing their threads unintentionally. As it stands many users just click and post Destiny recruitment threads in every forum since there is no reason for them not to. Recruitment needs a massive overhaul, since new threads are immediately buried rendering it ineffectual and useless to many players looking for fireteams.

Remove #recruitment, replace it with the old #Clans, and also add #GroupFinder. Then forums like #Gaming will not be clusters with LFG posts, you can actually go to recruitment/clans to find a clan, and have a place to go for LFG posts.

Calling it recruitment makes me skeptical. It makes you think people are trying to make you do something to get in. When i first came to the destiny app it said "make friends, play games" under the gaming forum. That seems like a place to go to find someone to play this game destiny with. Who knew this was the entire bungie forum, you all called it destiny app. You want to remove all doubts. Just call it "looking for players" instead of recruitment. And take away all topics, and community. Community doesnt need to be here.

It's still a mess. I know you are trying your best and so are your ninjas and moderators. One common problem is that with dedicated tags the descriptions should be clearer, even though some of your Ninjas have done a valiant job breaking the topics down for the lost. Many users have tried the same but just get abuse. # Gaming, Talk about any game we don't mind? How about #Gaming, talk about other games except Destiny. You can even talk about non Bungie games too or feel free to discuss Marathon, Halo, Myth etc too, we don't mind.

There needs to be a clear and concise description for each section. Clearly people STILL don't understand what #gaming is for. A pop-up window? Orientation video? I don't know. What we have now is better, but not entirely fixed.
