On destinylfg you only have to type your GT/ PSN in. Not log in. And they do have a way you can recruit in game. It's called "invite to fire team"

You have no idea what recruit means then. Recruit a group...Talking it through. Gathering people. Asking about gear....Get it? Basic MMO stuff? Main Lobby hub type conversations in a chat box? Not "invite to fire team".

What did they say in the patch notes? Oh yeah, THEY ARE ADDING VOICE COMMUNICATION. If you don't understand I'll simplify it for you. You will now be able to talk to the little kids around the tower who probably don't have mics anyways.

They have said lots of things and none of that even has a date to go by. edit: oh and to point out you just revealed even how pointless just mics are. I said chat box. Which means keyboard. Which is much more accessible to people talking with strangers. I take it you have no experience with any kind of MMO. Way to prove my original point on how stupid of a decision everything related to communication was. Thank you.

Messaging is still not in the game and is a clunky way of trying to discuss things with multiple people. Hardly a viable option.Take a look. http://i.imgur.com/KQYfUTp.png . That is a chatbox for a keyboard. It has chat for region, clan, recruting, etc. In a game where people need to communicate to organize. It's almost necessary to include in massive MP games. Even games all the way to the PS2 have keyboard accessibility. The devs were lazy and decided that using another website out of game was an easier way out.

Honestly, you posted how worthless only mics will be. Lots of players do use keyboards on consoles. Several MP games used it on PS3 and 360 as well. Couple major games its being used on is Final Fantasy ARR and Warframe on the PS4. It might not be something you use but its definitely being used by others. PS4 has support for keyboard and mouse games and those will be coming out soon as well.
