Why is it always either/or with you people. You don't think that people can actually enjoy two, or more, different games? I'll be playing both, because both offer different modes of entertainment.

Do not let this get around... but I like both Star Wars and Star Trek. Heresy, I know. Having the ability to recognize and appreciate the similarities as well as the differences within multiple science fiction universes is what identifies a fan of the genre, not just a fan of a title. I have a deep love for Halo, Mass Effect, the Warhammer 40K universe, and now Destiny. I am very fond of Deus Ex, Titanfall, Assassin's Creed (sci-fi twisted with historical fiction! Yay!), and many more. I can not think of one off the top of my head, but I am sure there are sci-fi titles, and even fandoms I am less fond of (just struck me, I never got much into Babylon 5). If grasping this is too hard for some, let me introduce an analogy that is hopefully simple enough to digest (pun intended). I love ice cream. I enjoy many different flavors, and have a few I am less fond of (butter pecan, maple walnut and black licorice, I am looking at you). Each flavor offers something different, from classic vanilla, chocolate or twist soft serve, to Rocky Road, Moose Tracks and Mint Chocolate Chip, to say nothing of the "fancy" Ben & Jerry's type of concoctions. Some flavors I am not always in the mood for, others I could eat for every meal. No one, anywhere, said I had to pick just one, forever. And if they did, well, then *blam* them.

Blasphemy! Liking both Star Wars and Star Trek? Such people do not exist. Next you'll be telling me there's actually people who play both the Xbox and Playstation, or that there can be Two different brands of Cars in a household. Stop making up nonsense and join the minions of narrow minds and bias!
