Rewrite: I have re-written this "Rant" of sorts and addressed a lot of issues people have mentioned in the comments, such as lack of detail, Overly aggressive tone and general "Rage/Butthurt" like wording.
(This Re-write was put in place at the 250+ comments mark for those who are interested, so many of the comments were in fact valid points before this time)

There's just no words to describe how frustrated I am at some of the people in this community (And on the internet) for being so negative and immature to the man who had brain surgery and received a weapon from bungie for his suffering, I just cant seem to grasp how people can attack this man or make such cruel remarks about the issue. Now This is not about the gun or Bungie white knighting, They are just part of the original story, Completely irrelevant to my topic. I'm perfectly fine with people openly stating there opinion on the matter of who gets the gun and so on, thats all good, its how a lot of people seem to make some sort of sick and immoral remark everytime this comes up, For example;
Who gives a shit about some dude who had brain surgery 7 times, No one cares

F*** him, Just gime my FOAF and let the scrub die, I payed $60 to play a game not hear about some cancerous dude and his troubled life
I have seen posts like this everywhere from Reddit to these forums to youtube comments on videos of people talking about this, And I am truly sickened to see these kind of words come out peoples foul mouths. I just.. I don't know what to say honestly... How can people be so cruel? How do we do it? What is the trick behind being such a..Demon, to everything in this world that has even a hint of something we don't like.
Anyway... All my love and best wishes to him & his family. <3

EDIT TWO: I'd just like to mention this is not directed at everyone, Only the people who are being mean and foul. I don't mean to generalize everybody. Sorry for the confusion
EDIT THREE: I see the term "Pretentious" popping up here & there. Just wanted to point out that I write like this because I can get my point across without ranting like a child, using caps lock to emphasise myself and waving the F bomb around like a lunatic with no real sense of argument, debate or even paragraphing and spelling.

Tango Unleashedにより編集済み: 11/8/2014 1:55:31 PMThis is the kind of people that is on the forums. They have the sense of having their identity secret, so they attack people, being an complete prick or heartless bastards because they can and can't be punished for it. I hope the man who had brain surgery 7 times recovers alright, no body should have to deal with that kind of pain. What would make this even more special gift if they lock Fate of all Fools so no one else can get it, only he gets an one of a kind weapon. Even though I love collecting every weapon and armor piece in the game, I would be okay with this because it be a way to immortalize him, giving him something that nobody else in the world can get.

2 通の返信Brohoof =D FPS shooter games tend to have more agressive people on their fourms, so this type of thing is to be expected.

1 返信What I gathered from this is that they're keeping even more shit from us than we thought. The gun is on disk and able to use yet we have no access to it yet.

THE COUNT DANTEにより編集済み: 11/8/2014 5:32:47 AMYou can find solace in the fact that of the hatred you have read, are typed through internet anonymity. Not only would these people not say anything like this with their voice, they most likely cant even look someone in the eye at all. Everyone is a strong tough calloused ass between the keyboard and chair.

46 通の返信I am not mad, hateful or anything to the man who is going through the hardship. I am however disgusted with Bungie, my roommate a veteran who suffers with severe head tama due to a bullet entering his brain, he among the sluggish mental speed and various other issues, he suffers from blackout rage fits. Basically what this means is he blacks out randomly during which he does things and later doesn't recall what he did or even having the fit to begin with. In one such fit that started while he was cleaning the blues and greens from his inventory he accidentally deleted his 3 exotic weapons, (Thorn, Bad Juju, Red Death.) I had him make a post and contact Bungie to get a reversal of the dismantling. They said "No, we don't fix accidentally mistakes, and we won't hand out exotics." The fact that they did this is cool. But I find it disgusting and appalling that they refused my roommate, then give this guy exotics for his hardship and his wife goes and flaunts Bungies good deed all over. Please understand that I am in no way angery or jealous. I just think it's hypocritical bullshit and likely a PR move to do it for one individual when there are hundreds of people who play Destiny as a therapeutic release of some sort who have asked for nothing more then to have items they had already aquired returned due to an accidental dismantling.

12 通の返信I'm amazed at how naive and gullible op is. It was a publicity stunt for Bungie / Activision ...they've done it in the past for carebear points. As far as the recovering husband...you are all lemmings. There are terrible things happening every single day, simply because surgery guy got a gun, then one half is entitled to poke, the other defend...retarded. Play the -blam!-ing game, worry about yourself.

Bungie did well by giving this lad an unique gun, hopefully it will make his recover faster. As for the rest of the ugly pieces of shit in here, go -blam!- yourself nerds, Im a forum troll too ald got no shame to admit it, I usually piss off nerds for shits and giggles, but there are limits to it so at least have some dignity you -blam!-tards, if I met you on the street I would break your ugly faces, maybe when you need a surgery then you would feel how it is first hand, and then think twice before uttering this nonsense. This is directed to those you know who. Dipshits.

I remember when Gearbox added an NPC character to Borderlands 2 in honour of a fan who died. We never complained, I was a nice gesture, and I often bumped into Michael Marmarill when I was in the town, he gave out Blue weapons. Problem is there's a lot of youngsters around here complaining and they make a big noise, but they're hardly worth listening to, and they DO make the community look bad. It's Christmas soon kids so be good or else I'm telling your dad and you'll only get a sack of coal and a mouldy orange.

1 返信It seems that people will always hate, no matter what Bungie does. Even if they take time out of their lives do something nice, there's always this group of people that feel the need to go, "-blam!- U, BUNGIE!!!!!!!!!11111111". And I can only pity them. Was this a PR stunt? Probably, probably not, who knows. That doesn't make act any less kind. I don't know why the rage for an act of kindness is so strong. Maybe it's jealousy. Maybe hating on everything Bungie does is the latest "cool" thing and anyone who doesn't is a pile of poop. Who knows. Now don't get me wrong, while I'm not a hater, the hate for Bungie isn't entirely unjustified, there are plenty of reasons to hate Bungie. But this isn't one, and it shouldn't be. To the ill man and his family, I give you the best of luck in times like these, and I hope you have fun with that gun. 'Kay, I'm done talking. Have a good day, everyone.

3 通の返信This is what's happening in my eyes. We have one side of the community that feel that Bungie did this just for publicity, one side that feels annoyed that they did t get anything for having a serious surgery also, one side who's empathetic to the poor guy, one side who just wants to troll, and one side who is blowing this COMPLETELY OUT OF PROPORTION. Just stop posting about it. You guys have completely ruined a good present, both by feeling entitled AND insulting everyone who disagreed. Not saying the op did this.

5 通の返信Has anyone actually checked the legitimacy of this? I mean, I understand that this is being reported by several sites on-line, but so far, I've only found that it originated on reddit. Is there any verification that this is the Real McCoy and not just some hoax by a user or a bit of free post-release goodwill hype by Bungie / Activi$ion?
