Recovering Husband gets Fate of all Fools
I don't know if this has already been posted, but I thought this was great;

Yesterday I had a post talking about my husband and his Doctor recommending Destiny to serve as a form of physical therapy for him following several brain surgeries. This community was amazing, and raid groups are being organized for him out of all the people who offered to help him.
But just as amazing, Deej contacted me and has sent my husband a care package from Bungie that is on the way. Then this morning, a message from Deej told us to have my husband check the post master. Lots of screaming ensued.
He has been sent the exotic gun Fate Of All Fools, a solar primary that is currently thought to be released in the upcoming Trials of Osiris-- and if not then with the next DLC.
Vision of Confluence had been my husbands dream weapon, as scout is his favorite and he wanted that solar damage. A more perfect weapon could not have been chosen. I'm so jealous, but mostly so damn happy for him. As for him-- well, you can imagine :)'

2 通の返信Anyone who is butthurt over this, turn off your computer monitor/close your laptop for a minute and look around. Sometimes I feel that people need a reality check. It doesn't matter what reasoning there was behind this, it's a game, and that is all it will ever be.

120 通の返信So one guy gets a gun for having surgery? How many people have had surgeries since this game came out? My girlfriend works with a woman who has had 24 surgeries on her brain in the last 13 years, and she is still treated the same as other coworkers. This was an unwise and insensitive decision by DeeJ and Bungie. Playing favors to one person? What's next? Someone's pet dies and they post on the forums about it so they get 50 strange coins? I'm all for giving him supportive messages, care package sounds nice, but it also seems to shit on everyone else who plays this game. Also what's to prove this guy had surgery and isn't some charity case asking for handouts (this is 2014)?

U idiots say that it's just a game and to get over it, well football is just a game and people go ape shit over "just a game" then. It's a game yeah, but all games have rules and standards. Wouldn't u be mad if the worst team in the NFL was handed the superbowl out of sympathy? No one ever said anything bad about the guy, and u idiots that are saying shit like " put your self in his shoes" , but why don't you put yourself in our shoes who worked hard to earn our loot/weapons and then to find out that certain people are getting stuff handed to them. And yeah I know what u idiots are gonna say like get over it it's just a game. Yeah it is just a game. But all games have rules. And instead of bungie giving out loot that is unattainable to everyone else. Maybe bungie should fix the glitches in the raid rather than give out loot...

Fools would have to be a solar based weapon , this miffs me as it feels like a lot of the weapons exotic wise are leaning to heavy on solar , only the truth , P&T , and my primary exotics are non solar . I like solar but my collection leaves me ill prepared for fallen and vex sometimes , ill get fools when it eventually comes available , but still I hope they make more arc and void exotics cause it feels like a majority of the secondary and heavies are solar .

I hope the guy a fast recovery and if he is on xbox one he is more then welcome to add me and I am more than honored to help him out in runs if he needs it. That being said. This community is -blam!-ing toxic and pathetic. I have played MMOs since I was 12, and I have NEVER seen such a pathetic and poisonous community. This is so sad on so many levels it is honestly embarrassing to say I play a game with people who are just garbage. All I see is bitch bitch bitch, roughly 70% of posts I see is more cry baby bullshit. And when a amazing story like this appears, and proof follows. People drag it through the mud because they don't have it. It is pathetic.. I have never seen a game with such immature pathetic human beings...

35 通の返信Ok, I don't reply to forum posts often since I mostly just scroll through them whenever I'm bored or unable to play Destiny. But I'll make an exception in this case. First off, I don't want it to seem like I'm attacking anyone by saying this...I just want you to take a breather, step back, re-evaluate, and really think about what some of you are saying here. Bungie did a really nice thing for someone but yet, yall are saying some pretty nasty stuff because they helped someone whos recovering from surgery out with an exclusive weapon. Can't you guys be happy for someone for a change instead of being jealous or attacking the people who did something kind for someone else? I mean wow...some of these comments are ridiculous and makes me cringe at how hateful and selfish they are. Come on people try to be a little more kind especially in a post like this. Try to think how the original poster will feel whenever she reads some of the nasty things yall wrote. If you've read through all of this, I thank you. I hope you might reconsider posting something malicious about these people or Bungie about this subject after reading this. Take care, and God bless.

2 通の返信Oh and this post is for all the idiots who keep posting about how "Ohh i know someone who is having surgery, they should get free sh!t too!" or the "Bungie shouldnt give out free stuff.." blah blah blah - Everyone is missing the major piece of the puzzle - The OP [b][u]NEVER ASKED[/u][/b] for anything! - It was just a cool post stating how awesome the game and community was helping out her husband who is recovering - I can guarantee this - if the OP had said anything along the lines of asking for free gear from bungie, everyone would have turned their backs on the OPer - They would have chalked everything up to being a TROLL - This was Bungies way of saying "Thanks for playing the game! Glad you are able to HEAL with OUR GAME" "Here, take this! Everyone else is helping with raids/strikes etc. Here is our way of saying get well soon!" Thats all that happened - so stop crying about it and be happy for the guy - Besides, you'll prob be one of the first ones to get it when it releases to the public #+100 Tears - 100/200 complete /EndRant
