I want some kind of official opinion on this kind of practice. I am currently doing the exotic bounty for Bad Juju on the off chance that when it is buffed it becomes a good gun. So of course I have been doing the complete 25 strikes part of it.
I have done 7 in a row so far and 6 of those 7 some guy runs past every single enemy that he can and waits at the next checkpoint while the other guy and me are stuck killing everything along the way. I have no problem killing everything. At this point the level 24 adds are like tissue paper. What gets me is the fact that the idiots running ahead are not actually taking part in the strike that they themselves queued for. They are simply sprinting past everything and avoiding any real gameplay unless they have no choice.
Why should other people or myself have to carry these guys through the strike simply because they are too lazy and impatient to actually do their part? You have stated on many occasions that thi sis meant to be a team game and yet these people are in no way taking part in the team strike unless they positively have to. One of the guys that ran ahead finished with 8 kills. Meanwhile I finished with over 100 kills. Then on the boss fight the guy simply went afk and made the random I was with and myself finish off Phogoth on our own. Once again its not a question of difficulty its a question of principle. I queue for strikes because I enjoy playing the game as well as earning all the rewards that come along with it. I don't want to have to carry people who don't even participate in the strike itself.
Why should this guy get all of the marks, rep, and rewards at the end when he in no way took part in the strike itself?
You guys HAVE to know that this is going on. Either make it to where people can be kicked or make it to where you have to wipe the entire strike before it can be completed.
I am done helping the people that do this. I will either leave and let them finish it themselves or do my best to make sure the strike takes as long as possible. I am not gonna go out of my way to avoid playing the game that I paid for. I get running past low level adds that are in transition areas, but running past enemies that are leveled to the strike itself is just lazy.

doing 25 strikes in one go nearly killed me..but I never rushed past all the enemies, or once sat back..more fun getting stuck in there...! even if it is the same thing over and over again... I do go past some of them now though(Like in Cosmodrone, I go past the rocket yard..that's it....) but if I see people staying back I go back and help them.

I understand your point and to an extent agree.. But as a counterpoint the purpose of this behaviour is sheer efficiency, which translates to more completions/marks/rep/drops per hour. Those type of people are only doing it for the end result and can (sometimes - when effective) cut strike run time down quite a bit. If your grinding strikes for bad juju I'd recommend doing the same I you see someone do this. If you can keep pace the enemies shots will be divided and you can make it through pretty quickly and safely. That being said, I prefer the journey more.. But doing the same strikes over and over can get tedious lol

4 通の返信I run strikes purely for the loot given at the end of the strike (decent chance of legendary engram, small chance of exotic and guaranteed blues) So the logical thing to do is run through the strike as fast as possible to kill the final boss and get the loot. For example If i'm with a random group of people it normally takes me 12 minutes to do the nexus, but If I run through with friends we can run it in 7 minutes which means we are getting alot more loot per hour. If I wanted to kill monsters, I'd go sit at mars lootcave... https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=mj3rYKMmZqM&list=TLP-Ds40XtpsI

1 返信Those sort of people (myself included) are people who grind strikes on occasion. The best way to increase your rewards is by speed running the strikes. I've done all of the strikes before, why would I waste my time killing 50 goblins? I just want to get to the boss as fast as I can to kill it so I can get the reward, which is the reason the strikes exist in a playlist. To get gear/rep. And go ahead and leave the team, it just buffs our damage whenever we have less people. If you're stuck back there killing level 24 dregs, then you're of no use.

5 通の返信It's because we've run these strikes over and over. People don't run tiger strikes to "have fun" killing 24 mobs. They're there to get their marks and/or engrams and get out. Not everyone has the patience or the time to shoot the exact same enemies that spawn in the exact same place EVERY. SINGLE. TIME. All you are doing by shooting those mobs is wasting our time. "Well if you kill the mobs they could drop legendary engrams!" I've seen 2 legendary engrams drop since patch and at this point, no one really needs legendary engrams. We have legendary weapons and are looking for raid gear, not some shitty weapon out of an engram that could potentially drop if you are lucky. So all in all just stay out of our way. If you don't like people rushing ahead, then just leave. Besides, it literally doesn't affect you in any way.
-
What makes you want to waste your time killing enemies that pose no threat? You get ZERO REWARD for killing more enemies. At the end, I usually have less kills than everyone because I put all my bullets in the boss. It's basically a one man show cuz the other two randoms are busy fighting off stupid shanks or thralls while I consistently head shot the boss.
-
Don't care if ppl run ahead on strikes as long as they contribute in the darkness zones or areas where you need to kill things to progress. Only thing I can't fkn stand is when ppl hide in a glitch spot and don't do anything at all because they're worried about dying for Walking Tall bounty. It's fkn pathetic, especially if it's on a low level strike that everyone joined to speed through. GTFO.

Not sure if this is what your talking about, but I try to skip the adds that are not necessary to complete the strike when ever I am trying to get something out of it. I wish my team mates would too that way a 20 min strike could be reduced to 12 minutes and we'll get better chances of rewards per hour. Also if you are doing tolands legacy you should just do low lvl summoning pits it can be completed in 8-12 mins with out much effort that way you finish the bounty in a couple hours instead of a couple days.

5 通の返信They should give the 4 drop at the end for superior performance so running ahead is just going to leave you with 1 or 2 engrams. Besides killing enemies has a chance for a drop also. I don't see why people playing a shooter don't actually shoot things.
-
Surely if your doing the bounty then you'll want to rush through them? I've just completed that part of the bad juju bounty and after about 5 strikes I was bored as shit doing them so I would speed run them. Once you've got the gear you want and can't get raid gear from a level 24 strike why not speed run it? Unless your collecting engrams to get coins/motes etc you don't need to kill everything...
-
It's a waste of time if not a darkness zone. When you hit a certain level and done enough strikes not even the chance of an engram makes it worth killing every single enemy. I always speed ahead if I can and try to work on the next section of the strike, it goes faster.

3 通の返信Why are you repeatedly doing same level Strikes for your bounty when you can do the lower level ones for the same effect? People run through because it's faster to just do the objectives and then get past the trash mobs. People aren't there to follow your lead, just like you don't have to follow theirs. A few things to point out. 1. You cannot stall any strike apart from not participating, which probably wouldn't matter anyway, you are wasting everyones time including your own so no-one wins. 2. You paid for the game yes, go play it then! GO PLAY IT SOLO if you want your own experience. 3. The bad juju bounty is done the quickest on the Nexus strike, it takes about 4 minutes on the low level one to complete, if you run through parts of it. If you don't run but kill everything, you gain NOTHING And prove NOTHING.
-
2 通の返信I HATE idiots who try and kill everything on the map. Just run past them and go to the checkpoint. I can run through the nexus in about 5-10 minutes, along with some others.
-
1 返信I have to agree here. I jump in the strike queues to play strikes. Not to farm marks. I want to play through. If you want to run through as fast as possible and skip whatever can be skipped maybe you should be the one to find a group of like minded people to run with you. Seeing as how those killing along the way are likely playing a little closer to the intended vision of the game designers. Just because current mechanics allow you to pull people forward with you doesn't mean it will remain that way.

I dont do strikes except the weeklies and bounties. Level 24 stuff is too easy. I wanna get it done as fast as possible. Keep up, finish quick and you can run a strike your way. If your in my strike you follow my lead.
