Running around in circles opening chests is not really how I want to spend my free time and I would rather be able to get materials like spinmetal, helium, relic iron and spirit bloom from simply playing the game. Some of ideas I had were that you could receive them in bulk for completing strikes, or that you could buy them in exchange for vanguard marks or maybe even have xur sell them for strange coins. What do you guys think?

1 返信Why do people not have an over abundance of these items? I accumulate so much of them that I hand them to the crucible vendor just for flirting with me.

2 通の返信oo GALAXY ooにより編集済み: 11/6/2014 12:03:08 PMI don't think another option needs to be available. It is not hard to come by the upgrade materials, at all. Whilst running around getting them, one runs into public events, does bounties, get weapons upgraded by shooting shit. It's how it should be. I like it. Everyone always wants something to be easier, when it's not that hard in the first place. o_O

Whenever you complete a Strike/crucible match you get 5 materials from the planet it takes place in, not as efficient as pure farming, but over time you should be able to amass a nice stockpile while you're doing other activities

4 通の返信They should ocassionally drop from the creatures on their respective planets. With a higher chance from ultras and majors.

1 返信Basic logic: If you can sell materials to venders for glimmer, you should damn well be able to buy it as well.

5 通の返信As I've detailed here, along with many other ideas, I believe that players should be able to earn upgrade materials from the Crucible. The basic idea would be that if you win on an Earth map, you get spinmetal. If you win on a Mars map, you get relic iron, and so on.

1 返信I was thinking there could be a phone app. that lets you earn materials while away from the game! Like mini games or something like that.

Hey! Great idea! But wait, let's think about it for a sec. If we weren't spending hours running in circles looking for shit to upgrade our gear with, what would we be doing? I'll tell you what. We'd be playing other games by now! Because that's all destiny is: a beautiful, giant hamster wheel, designed to keep you running in place/circles until your eyes bleed. Cause the more hours you log, the more money Bungivsion is inclined to make off you.

2 通の返信The Legend I am Becoming is One of Millions of Dudes Running Laps Around a Map Collecting -blam!-ing Spinmetal. That is a stupid ass legend. Weapons and armor need to be a LOT less hungry for materials.

Why not have someone in the tower sell the materials for glimmer? Say 10 for 1000 glimmer or something idk. All I know is that running around looking for spin metal or relic iron is the most tedious thing I've ever done in a video game. Bar none. Hunting for wolves and elk in Skyrim for leather was more enjoyable than what we got in Destiny. Just saying.

1 返信The only hard one to find is helium and even that's not hard. Christ, you guys are lazy.
-
I like the idea of receiving them as strike rewards. Since I enjoy running tiger strikes on a daily basis. And the marks exchange idea would be good too. I wanna toss in another idea: give out materials with completed bounties.

7 通の返信Vanguard marks are a good idea. I have nothing to spend the marks on. Have the materials cost a lot of glimmer as well if they must do so. I keep maxing out my glimmer and I have nothing to buy. I already have plenty off ammo synthesis
-
2 通の返信For other option, make enemies have like a 10% drop rate or so. If these materials are that powerful/valuable, it would only make sense that our enemies would be harvesting them as well.

Maybe put in like a gambling and u can win spin metal, relic iron, etc for low glimmer gambling then if u gamble more and more glimmer u get more and more materials as well as marks, strange coins, motes of light, and if u gamble with other players u can gamble armor and weaps
