sorry, but I just saw advanced warfare has zombies.
nail in the coffin for bungie, imo.
I still dig the PvP in destiny tho. I'll still keep coming back for nice slow PvP versus twelve year olds when I get tired of playing with the mature crowd

4 通の返信Cellspotにより編集済み: 11/2/2014 2:48:03 PMBy and large, destiny and cod have different player bases. There's some crossover, but the long term dedicated destiny gamer isn't going to be your typical fast twitch military shooter guy. Cod finally being released will be the best thing to happen to the destiny community since launch. The bitter gamers who dislike destiny and can't stop complaining about it finally have an alternative outlet, leaving more of the true fans and truly dedicated voices to be heard. It will also decrease stress on the servers and the creative and dev teams, allowing everyone to take a breath and really evaluate what went well and what went wrong with launch and how to move forward. Bungie isn't scared of call of duty. Especially when many of you who say you hate destiny but have racked up hundreds of hrs will be back.

31 通の返信Blacksmithにより編集済み: 11/2/2014 12:01:09 PM@RedFiat More important? Like what? Destiny is a godawful piece of -BLAM!- The only good things about it are the marketing tactics. Hopefully they'll recover enough of the $500 million chunk that went into development. We all know we wasted our $90 and Bungie will never fix this game before it loses its core audience to newer games in the future. And we're all butthurt over it because it's $90 and 20-100+ hours of our lives we were scammed out of. In fact many of us are so butthurt we write 1-3+ page, typed text, tirades directed at Bungie before we quit Destiny while praying and hoping they make our money and time worth something instead of the regret we all receive from having chosen to buy (and play) this game. But defending this godawful piece of -BLAM!- isn't going to change it. Hopefully everyone moves to COD:AW and the company loses all the money that went into this game's development. Maybe future developers will see this and learn the error of their ways. There are too many shallow Halo and COD clones being developed anyways. If I knew Destiny was one of them, I wouldn't have spent my money. I doubt anyone here would have spent their money. The only time I log in this game is for the PvP and a bare minimum PvE for weapons upgrades. The PvP in Destiny is small with not many game modes. Not much variation in players either as people continue to quit this -BLAM!-y game. I really wish I had just bought the collector's edition of FFXIV at this point, I wanted the mount. But I just found FFXIV painful to continue to play. And was hoping to get the jump on a new game. Could have saved $55... But that's how it goes.

1 返信Messiahにより編集済み: 11/2/2014 1:21:44 PMThere will be a huge drop in players. And I hope it does happen, and I hope they don't come back either. It will be the only way bungie will try and fix their mistakes. Destiny has so much potential. It could be one of the best games to date. Two things that will make alot of people come back to destiny from COD are shit net code and terrible gun balance which is apparent in every call of duty series. There isn't one fps game so far which has fulfilled it's next gen hype.

1 返信maby you should read this: http://www.businessweek.com/articles/2014-10-02/call-of-duty-director-says-u-dot-s-dot-should-station-soldiers-in-schools a former writer and directeur for cod bassically says that if they wherent sure if people would like something or not they would market the shit out of it. so essentially brainwashing (as he says it) the comunity so that they would love it when the game was released. corporations and creative artists in selling potentially unpopular ideas. “When we have a new product that has elements that we’re not sure how people will respond to, what do we do as a corporation?” he asked. “We market it, and we market it as much as we can—so that whether people like it or not, we do all the things we can to essentially brainwash people into liking it before it actually comes out.” to me atleast it feels as if activision doesnt take the wishes of its player base in a high regards. and what you do with this info is up to you i am not here to convince anyone.

17 通の返信You will catch a lot of flak for that 12yr old comment but as I have been posting all over this forum. I agree with you. AW has: A story A survival mode like MW3 A zombie mode Where Destiny has: No story 5 repetitive strikes 1 raid which takes less than an hour for most of the community to do finish. No zombie mode No horde mode

Destinys story goes as follows ghost scans something you fight off enemy's and the. Mission ends literally count how many times this happens in just the first 6 missions and in strikes like the playstation exclusive that is all the strike consists of

Destiny is about slick marketing and the dream. After you play it you start to dream of something else to do. Yep we all bought the dream on a plate ate our meal and picked the bones (by the way a good meal in a top Restraunt is about $150 so destiny over all was cheap) We will be back to see what is next in the new dlcs when they are available but we all know the gig now so eat , sleep & repeat or grind. ( I think that is a rave) With the eminent release of cod aw I have no doubt destiny will be less played. You never know if this is part of a bigger marketing strategy by activision.

58 通の返信I thought COD was for 12 year old morons who had nothing better to do than complain about other games. And might I just add that Activision the company that brought COD into your lives helped bring destiny to life. So really your just betraying the creators of COD and just labeling yourself as a dumbass. Oh and maybe the reason destiny is a bit off at the moment is because some of its creators are busy working on another pointless COD game where they were lazy enough to change the first word from modern warfare and added some extra junk. Chances are it will sell fast and then the haters will return to destiny saying we were right. On the bright side aw will take all the haters away and give us some peace and quiet and allow bungie to focus on more important things.

2 通の返信Did you just use mature crowd and cod in the same post? I'm sorry but the only reason the 12 year olds are playing destiny is because they dont have cod

12 通の返信So long and good riddance. It is about time Bungie & Activision saw what fair-weather friends PvP players are to a franchise. You come when it is "the cool thing" to do, but once you are finished "critiquing" everything you are gone to the next "it" game. You do not follow anyone; frequently have no clue about either the developers or the publishers, instead you simply follow the trend. In short; to steal my son's vernacular, you are the "Swag fags" of the gaming universe. Losing your nigh valueless input only leaves a more open line of communication to true fans, and enables us to have a bit more pull on the direction of the game. So, please, by all means - leave.
