why are some guys biased towards female gamers?
I don't understand why such gamers hate on each other. I have been verbally assaulted by many because I am a female. I thoroughly enjoy playing this games so why are some negating my comments? Can someone help explain to me why some guys are hating on female players?
I do not appreciate sexism or hatred.
If you do post bias remarks or stereotype, I will report you. Thank you

Honestly guys are like this toward other guys too not just girls. Most guys though just don't know how to talk to girls so they treat them like they are one of the guys which is weird. I wouldn't let it get to you too much.

Not sure, but I had a conversation with a female colleague some time ago, where she told me the best thing about being a girl is that she doesn't have to buy video games or consoles or whatever. I believe she used the terms "waste money on that crap." About 2/3 girls I date want nothing to do with video games. Most just tolerate them until they start cracking jokes that I'm spending time with my new girlfriend "Destiny". Then it gets real haha. I just chalk it up to men and woman usually have different tastes, of course with some overlap. I actually have yet to meet a female gamer, online or in person. So keep up the fight. Feed sh*t talk right back at whoever dished it out. Trash talking has been a part of gaming ever since split screen coop. If it gets out of hand, there's always the report button. The again, I'm a professional and act as such in online places. Actually everywhere. The immaturity and verbal diarrhea is rampant in online spaces. One of the reasons I'm glad Bungie didn't have voice chat at launch.

Do your best to ignore the jerks of the world and you will be happier for it. It mostly boils down to insecurity, and the anonymity of internet forums.

9 通の返信Everyone gets shit online, the point is you just brush it off and don't give a shit about it. If you highlight it and act like every comment is an attack on you or your gender, then aren't you asking for people to give you shit for an excuse to report them? You are doing one of two things, playing with people who are out to do nothing but cause trouble for a laugh, or playing in a way that is frustrating people to the point they want to personally attack you in a away they figure will get a rise out of you. Just learn to role with it, laugh at the jokes not meant to hurt but to tease, and get a better grasp on how to fire back with witty comebacks. Because nothing will get a guy to like playing with you more then being able to take shit and give it right back.

1 返信There's really no difference in gamers. I run a clan and the raid team I run consists of 3 men and 3 women and the women have shown that they have just as much skill as any guy. And we down atheon on hard all the time legitly. It's just men feel they are superior gamers. My opinion is we all got the game either as a present or we bought it ourselves. However we got the game, we all play it. Not everyone is skilled so all sexism is is an excuse for some men to feel better about themselves.

Culture. And it's not a male-exclusive thing. There are plenty of females who think other females shouldn't play video games, or do anything they consider a "manly" activity. It comes from old, Euro-Western traditional culture, where you should be ladylike, and not even think of doing any activity a man would do . . . . Is it a stupid, centuries-old complex of archaic ideas that are no longer even relevant to the 21st century? Yes. Is it patriarchy? No, actually I'd say not. There were and still are activities men are not "supposed" to do, either. Just ignore it, basically. It's a bunch of traditionalists getting pissed about something they probably don't even understand why they are getting pissed over.

As for you gentleman who say chick's mainly where themselves our for loot.... yeah screw you. I actually changed my gt cuz guys kept spamming friend requests at me, all cuz my name hinted I was female. So in conclusion if you are a cool GAMER on xbox one get at me.

There is a few schools of thought here, I will detail one. :-) We fear what we don't know. Many male gamers are what could be called "anti-social." They got spurned by the object of their affection at some point and have been playing video games ever since. What was once a sanctuary for all social rejects, a group that was for years looked at negatively (gamers), has now become a fully encompassing totally accepted aspect of our culture. All these female gamers are a constant reminder that these awkward men are not really ninjas, superheroes, pirates, or gangsters. After all, those occupations attract women :-).....also, guys can just be sexist dicks.

1 返信First of all when you call your self a gril gamer you assume that your different, maybe better or idk special? You are a gamer. If you want to be threated equaly be a gamer not a grrrl gamer. Its -blam!-ing annoyng... Im a girl gamer bla bla when u said girl gamer i automaticly assume ur the worst sorry ;/. Besides most fault lie in the side of women playing games. In about 3/4 cases when it comes to streaming or other stuff women youse their femine double gift to gain audience. Dont get me wrong ive playd with some kickass girls in wow best healers in our guild. But right now many of you just whore to get loot/viewers/powerlevels and stuff so in my opinion most of the foult is lying on the side of women.

as a male, i really got no idea why...my sister is a gamer and i don't see any difference between male or female when it comes to gaming. in the big mmorp's you got many raid or guild leaders / great arena players who are female. I think some people should grow up most of them don't even know many woman or girls in real life and they behave like they think it's cool...what is on the other hand the reason why they don't know much women...
