I was just thinking of this last night in vault, I tries to access my heavy ammo synthesis as fast as I could and nearly died in the process, I think they should make a hotkey menu, or just something simple like what you suggested.

I know it really sucks I've died plenty of times and got away plenty of times but it's just a pain, They could fix it decently quickly and it would resolve a lot of issues us players are having with the ammo synthesis witch overall really sucks in a tight situations examples the raid and nightfall.
