Ok, so I recently got the Thorn Bounty on my Hunter class... We can all see where this is going. The Crucible section of this bounty is the biggest pile of shit if you don't have a void sub-class or any good void weapons. I've got a Void Sniper and a Void Assault Rifle. Seeing as Assault rifles have recently been nerfed, the thing's pretty much useless because of it's already low damage rate (considering I'm shooting the head not the body). The sniper is also difficult to use because there are no good spots on any map to really shoot from. And I haven't got any heavy void weapons. I'd be completely fine with this bounty if it weren't for the 2 point penalty upon dying. For some, that's probably fine, but I generally have a k/d ratio of around 0.47 so essentially, I take 1 step forward 2 steps back. This bounty is just plain unfair for those who aren't any good at Crucible or don't have good Void weapons. It's just plain stupid. I've read all different strategies and tried a bunch of them, but I keep getting thrown in games with spastic shotgunners, supreme snipers, maniac machine-gunners, assault-rifle wielding psychopaths and pyromaniacs with rocket launchers who just beat me to a bloody pulp. Seriously Bungie, how the -blam!- do I do this? I know I'm having a rant, but this part of the game's made me rage harder than playing Ninja Gaiden, and that was a bitch to beat.
Can anyone help please?

Corrective measure(or any machine gun that you like, I prefer high Rof low impact)/Truth(or any rocket launcher with proximity). A nice void shotgun/fusion rifle will help too. I didn't really like atheon epilogue for it, (and that was back in November, so with the recent nerf to Autos it's probably worse except in close quarters)

I felt your pain I'm pretty bad in PvP. I had he Epilogue so it was fairly easy to complete. I'd use the WoC if I had to do it all over again. I don't use Thorn I just wanted it for the grimoire. I'd use a combo of void fusion/sniper and a void RL/MG blue is fine in PvP.

Tal'inonにより編集済み: 2/28/2015 7:48:49 PMHang in there man, i did the same the last time i did that bounty, used a fusion rifle and truth. So only two options with void, the last stretch of it was the most intense pvp i have ever been through personally, in the end i got it done, and it helped me appreciate pvp quite a bit more. Just keep your head up man, and on a swivel, You can do it

i did it solo with my hunter(i only roll gunslinger but i can see how it could be easier to run shotty and invis bladedancer... just not my style). i dont raid so no void primary weapon. i did it with a void shotty and machine gun. its a good close quarters and distance attack/defense combo. rockets are cool but u can stack way more kills with a machine gun. just stick to your special and heavy and try not to die. play control and defend A or C.. easiest way to not get killed and rack up some kills.

1 返信I just used a void shotgun and was that little prick that ran around with his shotgun out shooting everybody with it to get my thorn bounty done :P

I'm terrible at pvp and I did the bounty back in late November, and I was worse back then. Just suck it up and do it. I also did pocket infinity crucible section back when I was a lot worse than I am now. It stacks up and you rarely notice how it affects you when you die, you're panicking over nothing.

Stop it I did it as a hunter! Control camp around heavy spawns Perydths revenge snipe as you go at back Corrective measure grab the heavy still conservative take people out! Hell nowadays you have word of Crota too!

DxohJDにより編集済み: 2/28/2015 7:44:03 PMIt sucks as anything but a warlock, really. Defender Titan has void melee and grenades, but they aren't great for getting anything but a few kills. I would suggest finding a void secondary you are comfortable with. If you are good at sniping, void sniper, even with a rare(easy to find). Good at close range, a shotgun. Midrange, fusion. Machine gun will get more kills per heavy drop, but rockets may get you more kills if you find yourself getting murdered before spending all your machine ammo.

I used harms way, I managed about 6 or 7 kills with it every time I got heavy, and then I used the side winder shot gun, and did it in about a week, playing like 5 or 6 games of crucible a day, don't worry about getting it all done at once your just piss yourself off.
