Does anybody else agree the knife is way under powered? Both the throwing knife and the melee. How can a titan punch the ground just near me and its an instant kill but I have to stab someone twice in the face to kill them? A knife/melee should be an instant kill like in every other fps I have ever played. The knife is severely under powered IMO, actually I think the hunter class compared to the other classes is under powered in general. Thoughts?

6 通の返信I think the Hunter class could use a doge/dash/roll/evade perk, would be easier to avoid titan and warlock supers. Hunters should have weakest melee, but should also be extra agile.

iDANglinにより編集済み: 10/17/2014 6:20:19 PMI disagree. As in every Halo game, melee is for the most part a two hit deal to keep it from being OP. A melee fest would result from every melee being one hit kill. It's understandable that the Titan's shoulder charge is a one hit because 1.) It is his specialty and 2.) It has a cooldown so it isn't OP. If all melee's were one hit kill the Crucible would be a beat fest. But maybe that's what you are wanting? [Edit] Also, at first I thought that my throwing knife was underpowered and should be a one-hit. I can still see that argument, but now that I have some experience with it under my belt, hitting targets with it is super easy and it would be OP and annoying if it were a one hit because it really isn't hard to use. I'm not trying to say I'm godly with it, but if you can't hit players easily with it to make it an asset instead of a liability (by wasting your time lining up the throw), then don't use it : )

I am a warlock and yalls throwing knife is a skill use and you are more for get in and out so just satay away from a Titan because it is a close range and the reason it can hit the groung one and kill you is because that is his super
i get opened by you hunters all the time because they are a ranged class
So just learn how to use your class properly and you will own

3 通の返信Maybe instead of trying to make the mele an insta kill, just put in assassinations like in Halo. Seems like decent upgrade.

1 返信Dude throwing knife with burn perk murders in crucible. Couple bursts from pulse rifle then throwing knife. And watch the damage tick them to death.

I play a hunter and have zero complaints about the knives, throwing and otherwise. They are plain awesome. Remember, your slash doesn't do a great deal of damage but you are the only one that can use it at range as well. "Stick Around" medals are the best.

3 通の返信Hunter melee is speed over force. It's not underpowered. There is a delay before you can melee. Obviously on the throwing knife but also between normal melees. The delay is non-existent for Hunters but they don't do as much damage. This allowes them to do twice as many melee swipes in the same amount of time. Titans have double the delay meaning it takes them longer to recover after they throw a normal melee meaning if they miss, they're vulnerable for a split second. To offset this, they hit like a freight train favoring force over speed. A titan's melee must be carefully honed while Hunters can slash away. There is no OP or UP argument. They work as intend. That's the subtle differences between the two classes you're seeing and why you should give a damn about what class you pick.

I agree with you! Not to mention the ridiculous range on those warlock melees! Their standard melee is our blink strike, not to mention they get to keep their distance and not necessarily trade kill when their on their second melee and enemy just closed gap for first melee.

1 返信Please stop, I main a titan and second a hunter (mained Warlock in beta), hunter is far easier to use. Hunters and Warlocks have the most offensive classes and out perform Titans in almost everything.

3 通の返信Hunters are not geared towards CQC. Hunters are supposed to stay back and kill from afar (apart from blade dancer super). Well that's my understanding. Hence why it's the only class with a throwing knife. As a hunter you should not be relying on knife kills.
-
You're nuts dude. I slaughter people with my two throwing knives. PVP, PVE, doesn't matter. If you're within range you're getting a knife to the dome. PvE, it's what I mainly use with the perc. that auto replenishes the knife with a kill. PvP you get a shot or two with my primary and a then I jump and you get a knife in the head. You must not have your hunter configured right, or just don't know how to use the class properly.

1 返信Snce youre only lvl 22 and dont have alot of experience in destiny i think you should stfu and be happy with youre bladedancer

Blink replenishes health if you have the proper skill tree setup, definitely not UP. Throwing knife is also not UP. It's meant as a finisher on a hurt enemy, or as a starter attack to down most of their shield. As someone who uses both, I think they're both working as intended.

1 返信The reason hunter knifes aren't stronger than Titan fists is because we wear power assisted armor. That's why we can hammer fist the ground and wipe out a whole squad. Hunters are one of the most played classes and for good reason. If you feel they're underpowered than it's either A) You're not that good at the game (In PvP) B) Trying content higher than your gear level with people who out gear you (In PvE) or C) You're playing the wrong class for your play style.
