A simple question as the forums are a battle ground sometimes with PvE and PvP and it seems like attributes for both can't play nice. Something is to strong in PvP so lets nerf it for PvE too ect... So i thought i would see what you guys think. If Bungie had the choice to drop one aspect of the game for now to focus on really building up a well polished experience which would you like to see. Personally I would love them to polish up PvE so much potential. I'm not a huge PvP person but i enjoy it from time to time, but love PvE and really see alot of potential for it. In the future though it would be cool if you could mix the two worlds of PvP or PvE.
update 11/4
Thanks to all you who have voted. Just some additional clarification. The purpose of this poll was to present people with a very clear black or white decision, which would show where you would value the time most spent by Bungie. I know there were many other things I could have put in the poll however I was really looking to see the results in giving an ultimatum of the two types of current game play. This poll was amazing where just about 10k voted for PvE. I only wish i knew the numbers of the entire forum base...actually I think that will be the next one.

IamPlutoにより編集済み: 10/15/2014 11:43:25 PMTo me, Destiny was marketed as a PvE game. Idgaf about the PvP, and still don't now that they game is out. But Tbh, both need attention. The PvP is highly lacking, compared to other Fps out there. Even Bungies old games. But to choose, I would choose the PvE option. I prefer it over Destinys PvP. There aren't to many console games like it, although I still think it can be much better. The gameplay is fine, the world needs to be fleshed out much more. More interactive with NPCs and the world. One would say RPG like. I hate comparing games to other games, but since I can't think of a better way to say how I would like the PvE in Destiny. Just play Skyrim and you will see. BTW I don't think anything should be taken out of the PvE. Things just need to be added to it, or modified.

Pheint3dにより編集済み: 10/16/2014 12:11:02 AMIf you want an accurate number of how many PvP players there are, you aren't going to get that from a forum poll. Tons of players don't use the forums or even know about the app. Also, this shows how many players here wouldn't understand anything about how important balance is in a competitive MP. They don't play it nor care for it. The poll speaks for itself. This explains why so many users here have some pretty ridiculous stuff to say about balance in an MP mode. You can't speak on an issue you aren't apart of. Don't blame people who play crucible. Balance is important in ANY game with a competitive MP. Bungies just having a rough timE doing it. They've never made a game like Destiny with a giant sandbox that's only going to grow bigger over the years. Stress the issue for pve to not be impacted by balancing out the crucible. That's the main issue. I play both pve, and PvP. I didn't create threads about the VM though. I did throw tons of alpha feedback, and even some of that's barely being fixed currently. So both need polish, and we gotta watch out for each other's experience. I didn't see anyone complaining how strong in pve was, so don't assume that was the intention of the threads in regards to the crucible. Balance is a issue Of balance. Not an issue of skill. Which is another thing people seem to have a hard timE getting through their heads here. And one last note, people wouldn't leave a good MP if it's a good MP. Its bad advice to say drop the crucible and deem it as a failure to get rid of the PvP players... Both aspects are important for this game. Both are meant to be strong and stay...Both need to continue to be worked on.

1 返信Wow. Those numbers are crazy. I still think the reason we don't have a event this week is because they don't know what to do. Do they give us an event with sub 30 armor again? So they make us run through the same missions like the Queens event?

25 通の返信Ezimatanaにより編集済み: 10/14/2014 10:28:42 PMTbh clearly most people are idiots as shown by the poll. The PvE story is broken, lame and stupid. I think we can all agree on its current state. That's fair to say. If they focused on it more, I really doubt they could fix it, and would it really be worth the time? Bungie could much more easily tune the PvP to make it better and make more maps and private matches and other things. PvE is the last focus imho. It's already grindy enough I don't like PvE as it is. I get that I'm the minority obviously about this poll, but logistically thinking making PvP better will add more longevity and play value to the game and PvE won't. Some things aren't worth fixing honestly, especially when you're a company. BUT AS I WOULD ALSO LIKE TO SAY before you give me a kick off the boat, focusing 100% on PvE or PvP is absolutely the most idiotic thing you could do. If I had to come up with an example that this poll represents, it's "Okay pick either the middle class or the 1%.We will kill that group of people and redistribute the wealth from them to benefit the other class."

1 返信Sadly angry people tend to be the loudest. So the pvpers cry foul and bitch and moan till developers do something about it. It's a near sighted approach I have seen in many games. So here comes the nerf in order to appease the minority's. Our once proud game which promised to be a epic mmo shooter will now become another COD. With no reward for time invested in end game content because somebody's mom told him he was special and all things should be fair and equal. So much for long hours and hard work yielding rewards. I feel bad for this pathetic weak willed generation. I have yet to complete VOG but look forward to it. As such I don't hold anything against players who have earned their just rewards. If one hands me my ass I just dream of the day I can do the same.

4 通の返信Totsugekiにより編集済み: 10/15/2014 10:10:31 PMWoah, I'm the minority. Pvp is the only reason i play PvE for. Atm pvp is fun but aggravating due to slight balance issues. I have one of each class though and the best weapons so I can have fun regardless. Edit: I felt more accomplished playing a perfect game with 16 kills than killing atheon.

Sorry, but (at least according to Bungie) a 12yr-old PvPer counts as 10000 votes for PvP apparently... Seriously Bungie, its clear that if the pattern of you focusing on PvP continues, you'll lose most of your player base by the end of the year.

honestly this is an mmo and the armour along with the guns are for pvp. Yes you need somewhat good items for pve but lets be clear. you can focus on alot of attributes in this day and age. I know plenty of MMO companies who multi task. you know why they do great and stay alive. they understand the priorities and do not have an agenda of there own. They do not try and make a game for themselves but mainly for the player. Destiny pvp and pve can both be worked on. PVP needs more maps along with different game objectives. this is easy as wel already have zones and creating barriers in these zones is something i think bungie knows about. maps should be generated in a large scale not just 3 to 4 maps. Dont let them sell items short and say prioritize on certain items is needed. NO we paid for a full game with more then a few maps and a grand story. Not something told in an off site attribute because you had a fracktard manager choose the grimore over real character development story telling narrative IN THE GAME. I am just saying this is not the first MMORPG, unless you guys have not played one. all of them have bad to medium sub par starts. what you must understand is that this company already have a schedule of what they want to do and they will stick to it unless the customer base tells them noooo we want these attributes. dont just settle for one or the other. pve and pvp is short sided attributes. example strikes can be turned into pve and pvp functions. Strikes can lead up to you gaining new items as well as gaining more intel to improve your character rating. more maps created for pve can be in fact for pvp. we live on a whole planet. We take off from a base and yet we go to orbit to come back down to the planet. that is alot of fuel we are burning lol. I understand you are loading but uhmmm yeah no be a bit more innovative. Customers dont sell yourself short on what bungie can do. This is not the first type of gaming functions and we dont care this is your first time in the MMO industry. Do your homework if you are diving into the realm and want to get rich.

PVE for me,it was the main reason for purchasing the game, ok they have a 10 year plan for Destiny but they could have gave us a little more. Mmo's like DCUO had long engaging stories that were extended with dlc, as well as voice and text chat. Hope Bungie see this thread and take note what it's players are saying. That and my love of PVP died along with the COD franchise lmao

1 返信I would like to point out that as I'm writing this, only 7% of the forum responders are for PvP. Does that mean bungie just fkd over 93% of their player base?
-
Bungie should do the same of other games and have separate gear styled for PVP vs PvE and then have much lower stat generics for leveling players. Main problem is whenever you change an item for one scenario it breaks it for the other. And sorry but this game was built for the PvE aspect and not the PVP aspect.
