Contrary to what many people say, this patch is a good thing! ARs should not have the range that they had pre patch! No weapon in the world (reality or sci-fi) that fires automatically should have a sustained fire rate with that little recoil, shouldn't be possible!
To those complaining about the PVE repercussions, I hope you guys are aware that there are other guns in the game! If you are concerned about the decrease in range then use a pulse rifle or a scout rifle! With the buff they got they'll be even more efficient, especially from longer range. The ARs were a handy cap. They enabled long range efficiency as well as medium and close. They're very well rounded which made them outshine the other weapons. Perhaps now there will be a bigger variety of play styles. Instead of everybody just rushing in and doing their own thing. I think it'll make the game more interesting and teamwork will be a bigger factor. The other weapon types are actually very fun to use. Hopefully this patch will make people branch out more!
I'm getting the feeling that this patch is gonna kick a lot of people out of their comfort zone, hence the outrage. They have gotten accustomed to a complacent and dare I say lazy type of gaming, sticking to the weapons that are the easiest to use, and then complain about getting the same experience over and over. Newsflash, this game actually has a lot of things to do in it and a lot to experience, people are just not willing to try something new.
[b]Edit[/b]: I hope now that the patch is out, that a lot of you guys who complained about it prior to drop, are realizing that it actually didn't make a drastic change to either pvp or pve. I played both last night and although there was a noticeable difference, it wasn't as "game-breaking" as some of you thought it was gonna be. I actually really like how the auto rifles feel now!
I also like seeing more people using scouts and pulse now! Not only in pvp but also pve. I think the patch is doing a great job making the game a little more varied which is awesome!

thank you finally someone with a bit of brain... how was halo when you fought high ranked enemies with weapons like DMRs and snipers? they had no weapon that dropped them with one clip. they didn't nerf the vex or the other weapons because of the crucible, they did it because they want the game balanced and a more traditional FPS like halo. its like gamers cant do with a bit of challenge... seriously..

6 通の返信Great patch, hand cannons are now a viable option along with other guns... Fusion rifle, bladedancer super is in need of nerf next for balance.

4 通の返信"There are other guns in the game" lol obviously. The main weapon that got nerfed was the vex, hardest weapon to get from the hard raid. Why would i go through all that and not use that weapon?

I'm not complaining about the ar or anything else in the patch notes. Only complaining that its not accurate at least about the vex mythoclast. The damage tweak is correct. But the precision multipler isn't 1.50 like they said it would be. It's actually 1.357. Meaning in crucible instead of 42 a headshot it's 38.

Went into rumble post patch.. Won every game with suros, more light, jolders hammer and a bubble shield. The kick the AR give now feels more real.. More meaty.. And they feel better... And i still hit every bullet on the blinking warlock trying to shotgun me

1 返信Pre-patch I realized that I had to adopt an auto rifle in order to keep up. Major point was the ridiculous range they had. Out doing my pulse rifle. Now that auto rifles are patched I'll gravitate towards other weapons. Does it bring me out of my comfort zone? Of course! But it was needed as the meta for pvp was rather silly. My only other concern now is Fusion Rifles. Being one shot from the other side of the room from a simple special weapon is rather dumb and not very skillful in my opinion. My Auto Rifle worked out that, if they happened to not hit or was not within kill range I could punish them for it. Now, not so much. I'm thinking hand cannon?

1. You're totally right! 2. This patch was a tiny, tiny adjustment and many of the weapons still function just fine. 3. I've found changing weapon types from time to time is like playing a whole new game. It's fun to do and if you haven't tried it, you should!

My only possible problem with the hotfix is that I seem to have noticed an increased amount of repetition in the patrol missions. Need more time to see if it is just a smaller sample size (and coincidence) or not. But I did do three sets of patrol missions on Earth with my newer character, and they all started off with the same exact mission, each time I went planetside. Can't speak to the PvP aspects of it, as I don't do PvP, though.

I still use my Atheon's Epilogue regularly, Suros not so much as I never cared that much for it. I prefer Red Death for the healing anyways. I do not have a good scout rifle, and I'm still waiting for Bad JuJu and Thorn to become more useful. They didn't touch my Corrective Measure, however. I have so much fun with that gun, lol.

4 通の返信I do not have a problem with the hotfix, AR's are not useless like so many have said, they can no longer smash people across the map which is good. Not a huge scout rifle person but I will give them a try, I see this fix as trying to make players find a weapon they enjoy as opposed to using an AR because it was necessary to keep up. Scouts will still get owned up close and AR's will get owned at range while pulse rifles fall in the middle along with hand cannons.
