Just watch, I know some of it looks like a early build.
But how come that early build seems so much better than the final in terms of mechanics and gameplay.
EDIT: I still like the game but this is what I thought Destiny was going to be.
EDIT 2: shout out to all the people still defending this, you guys are the reason things like this will keep happening!
EDIT 3: Changed title to clarify more

2 通の返信this video is so -blam!-ing scripted its the same video from E3 just voiced over by diff people i mean wtf do they think we are retarded and not capable of noticing this bullshit?
-
2 通の返信3:18 if players entered the game like this all the time (excluding indoor spawn points of course) it'd be soooo much better

Now see, THIS game looks far better then what we got. The one we got is about a 7/10 for me. This one looks like it could have been a 9. Intro was completely different, the ghost sounded far better, the drops looked better, pretty much everything in this video looked better then the final product. Not to mention the straight up lie he told at the start about the place behind him being all playable area. Hell, even the guns skill tree looked cooler. As much as I like the game, seeing what it could/would/should have been makes me sad.

3 通の返信Already knew just how much was changed. Still pissed about it. Public events knocked over trees and actually looked sick. There was actual open world. "wherever you can see, you can go" was the market pitch, now there's boundaries WTF. -.- they made that point VERY clear. And now it's gone.

1 返信Is the game lacking story and content? Yes. Am I still enjoying it? Yes Has my trust in the game industry dwindled? Yes.

1 返信1) we may still go out into "Older Russia" later... Maybe 2) the ghost used to be funny 3) warlock had a knife?!

4 通の返信blah blah blah, yes the game has changed as do almost every other game out there from early showing to release, the game is a month old and has run far better than most other games have done on there release points. why the need to hate so early on in it when there is plenty of time for further updates DLC and add ons, if they gave it u all at once then the game would be dead and buried within 5-6 months, that vid did look good but I wouldn't want that level of ability at the start were is the fun in that? ive enjoyed the adventure of searching the maps unlocking crappy weapons to help advance to the greater weapons why not just enjoy what it is for now and see what they can deliver in the months to come and if things don't improve then let the bungie bashing start

1 返信The demo really isn't all too different from what we got, the trailer at the end on the other hand.... That's a good enough reason for disappointment because that trailer had more story than the entire game that was published a year after...

2 通の返信Ohh god I'm having Aliens Colonial Marines E3 press demo flashbacks, ughh it hurts!

This is what they call a "vertical slice," and very rarely do what they show at game conferences end up in the actual game. Remember how great Watch Dogs looked at E3? Things like seeing your fellow player's ship fly them into the map and being able to control when your ghost can be used as a flashlight look impressive but they usually nerf them in the end. One major thing here that looks better in the demo that has almost no reason to change is the upgrade tree in the menu. Once they figure out how to push next-gen limits better, we might start seeing cool stuff like this in the ACTUAL GAME THAT WE BUY.

1 返信This game is just a symptom of a much larger problem in the video game industry, and production of any good or service in this nation and on this world as a whole. The fact is, what Bungie did was not considered false advertising, its considered good marketing unfortunately. Companies are allowed to falsely represent themselves and their products and you are just supposed to know better. If you want to fix this problem, stop going after Bungie and go after the lawmakers creating the legislation to protect these companies after they do something like this. The fact of the matter is, any lawsuit against Bungie is destined to fail, but it doesnt change the fact they deceived us, they falsely advertised their product, and conducted business in thee most unethical way they could find and still be legal. As I said, going after Bungie wont change that, you need to go after the laws that protect them after the fact.

Yes there are a great deal of things in there that we do not see, but it was also set up to show what can be. Notice they are wearing legendary and exotic gear at level 5ish. While it would be cool to have good guns at low levels, it wouldn't make much sense. I did quite like how their gun trees were back then, it looked cool. And the whole mission played out differently, which happens more often than not when seeing a game prior to release. Look at the halo games, most of them had missions in them for the preview of gameplay that you never saw in the final product. It is just to show you roughly how things are going to be, not meant to be an actual preview of exactly what you will be playing.

10 通の返信The gameplay of that video alone is far more detailed then the entirety of the game we're playing. What the hell happened? I love this game, but if thats what it could have been... What the hell?
