Just watch, I know some of it looks like a early build.
But how come that early build seems so much better than the final in terms of mechanics and gameplay.
EDIT: I still like the game but this is what I thought Destiny was going to be.
EDIT 2: shout out to all the people still defending this, you guys are the reason things like this will keep happening!
EDIT 3: Changed title to clarify more

3 通の返信LOL Hand cannons where a secdonary this proves people who use them are just stupid
-
3 通の返信The switch of primary weapons!!! He went from pulse to hand cannon without going to the menu!!! They should've kept that!
-
2 通の返信That upgrade tree looks so much more better, same with the menu, the health bard of enemies, and the very first mission itself.

3 通の返信I felt like responding to this in a way that, should anyone from Bungie comes across it, would be constructive criticism and and positive feedback. So here is a breakdown of what I think would be better as it is in the video and things I think are improved over the video that made it into the game. Things I wish were as the video shows: -Drops. This video has a similar kind of drop system as seen in The Division previews. You do something awesome or hard, and you come across a weapon. Then you can equip it straightaway. I feel like this would be especially beneficial for boss fights. You get a random, non-exotic from a boss' drop table. Different level versions of the same boss have different drop tables. -Enemy/Guardian health. In this video, it seems to me that the enemies are a little squishier than in the main game, but so are the Guardians. I feel like this adds an extra level of urgency to every encounter, but especially bosses. -Animations. I understand that interactive animations done over and over again and trying to make them mesh with ALL the environments is VERY different from making a video sample. But the weapon draw animations and reloads and other things that don't need to mesh like say, sliding does, seem slicker and smoother in the video. -Exploration. The dropship is cool. Going down to the planet to transmat with your ship, or to hop out and have it fly away in auto pilot would be super. Also, the ghost as a moving light source is awesome. I like that a lot better than what's in place now. Things I like about the main game over the video: -Aiming. In short, the video showed that they weren't sure on the shooting mechanics and their direction yet. The shooting mechanics in Destiny are amazing. The Warlock knife. I'm glad each class has a cool melee of their own. Warlocks using knives would have been the worst. A Titan that doesn't crush skulls with his fist isn't a Titan at all. -Damage numbers. Way better than watching healthbars, in my opinion. -Public events. As they are, I know what I'm getting into when I go to a Public Event. But that doesn't make them easier. They feel urgent, and they are fun at all levels.

20 通の返信This is an unfinished game, I don't know how someone can say otherwise. If they would have just said from the start that in order to play the full story you'll need to purchase DLC, that would have at least given gamers a heads up and there wouldn't be the level of outrage that we're seeing right now. I honestly have never seen such a negative response in a gaming community at launch before (not a game this hyped at least). Yes, almost every other game out right now also uses cheap ways to try and get you to purchase DLC but not to finish the main storyline... It's always an add on (DLC= Additional Content). You can defend how much you enjoy the game, it's something that's subjective. You can not however defend the lack of story or content, it's something you can actually keep track of. I can't count how much you enjoy destiny, but I can count the number of ORIGINAL missions/strikes and playable areas. I absolutely enjoyed this game at launch. However, once the stories started leaking over content being cut, shady DLC practices, Events being re-skinned story missions and everything else that piled up it pushed me and many other gamers over the edge. Maybe if we hadn't felt like we were being lied to, we could have excepted this game as a work in progress. We wouldn't have felt like we were having the curtains pulled over our eyes. The amount of silence coming from the Bungie team is equally as frustrating. They have ZERO obligation to address the gaming community, I understand that completely. But wouldn't it be smart to address these problems and at least make it seem like you care about the gamers? Right now the silence just feels like a slap in the face. I've never seen such a lasting negative outcry from a gaming community @ this level. Seriously, a 6.4/10 user rating is a terrible rating! This isn't a rating given out by greedy gaming mags, this is a rating given by the community you supply games for. This is frustrating man! I've never felt the need to spend this much time commenting on anything, especially a video game but apparently I can't help myself. If Bungie would have just said"The game we are releasing is an unfinished work in progress, we warn you there will be no ending and the story will take sequels and dlc to playout the conclusion" people wouldn't be asking WTF just happened after finishing the story. One day we'll all find out what really happened during the release and developement of this game, but until then, we're left pondering and pulling stories together to try and come to a conclusion. Much like the storyline in Destiny.

1 返信This game is full of lies, it's as if the game was made to trick you into thinking it was so much bigger. All playable space? No, that my friend is a kill wall. Just based off the first minute of gameplay shown vs the game now, bungie should be sued for false representation .

Warlock_Holmezにより編集済み: 10/14/2014 12:35:15 AMThe "playable space" bit was by far the greatest aspect I was looking forward to in Destiny (from watching this very demonstration). Roaming endless landscapes for interesting encounters (on Earth, our Moon, Mars, Venus, Mercury, and other moons) sounded like a dream, even if the environments weren't as heavily detailed as the current playable areas. The release of the Alpha ended that dream though. I then knew it wasn't going to be as large as we hoped, not sure how most everyone else missed it. I still play this game everyday, cause it's a great game, but videos like this did over hype it's potential and expectations. His remarks of "hoping to one day send us out there" does give me hope that they are working on open-world content like this.. Obviously not anytime soon though..

5 通の返信Glorious Duckにより編集済み: 10/14/2014 2:14:10 AMto the people saying the trailer is not much different from the actual game ARE YOU BLIND? or just blinded by your destiny boners? things like bosses dropping loot, the ships having ingame appereances, you physically seeing your friends joining the game and the world interacting with the actual events (tower being destroyed GODDAMN that looks epic) all those things add SO much to the atmosphere. tell me was there ever a WOW moment when you played? did you ever get the goosebumps? no you didnt. because the games introduces any enemy except for the gatelord in a boring way. the world has enemys in it but it still feels empty as -blam!- and not explore-worthy

Thank you for sharing this, I've been looking for this vid forever. Made me think of Skyrim when he showed off Old Old Russia, it looked like straight up adventure. This is what I want from patrols. This is what Destiny should have been. #wewantanswers
