Just watch, I know some of it looks like a early build.
But how come that early build seems so much better than the final in terms of mechanics and gameplay.
EDIT: I still like the game but this is what I thought Destiny was going to be.
EDIT 2: shout out to all the people still defending this, you guys are the reason things like this will keep happening!
EDIT 3: Changed title to clarify more
English
#Destiny

1 返信Woulda Coulda Shoulda.. but isn't. Judge the game for what it is not what it "could" have been two years ago. The game is multiplatform and on 10 year old hardware.. Do the math. Did you seriously expect that to happen? No game has ever lived up to the hype. The latest example being Duke Nukem Forever.. 12 years in developement, several rewrites by several studios.. And a hype train so large it would never fit through the tunnel.

1 返信THE ACTI0N MANにより編集済み: 11/4/2014 3:42:56 AMSWTORwasn't great but it crushes Destiny. 8 classes with unique planets, companions, stories, and missions. 20 planets with huge playable areas and NO INVISIBLE WALLS. Can't wait for The Division and Halo 5.

5 通の返信Really? All this angst over a video that is clearly pre-alpha? You people obviously do not know a thing about game development, or even generic software development. Nothing was PROMISED to you. Game developers and publishers carefully craft the "message" that they deliver in these demos. Listen carefully to his words. Nowhere did he say that when the game released you would be able to play all of those other areas at launch. Someday they HOPE to let you run around anywhere. The only real differences here are cosmetic. The lighting is different. Development doesn't happen on retail consoles. The Xbox One and PS4 did not exist as we have them today when Bungie started working on the game. That demo came out probably before they even had Next Gen development kits that somewhat approximate a retail console. Between having to support PS3/360 and not knowing exactly what could be done with the PS4/XBONE. With unlimited hardware resources, all of those cool effects could have worked. But at the end of the day, the game has to run on hardware that actually exists in real life, which are limited. You can do all sorts of cool stuff with a single player game that you can't do with these massive, online games that can have up to 16 different players running around. You're dealing with all of these players, so you need servers that do all of the work behind the scenes. Notice how sometimes the icon of a Spinmetal or Helium, etc. takes a little bit longer to pop up? Everything you do is being relayed back to Bungie's servers. Multiply that times the millions of players that play every day. It's massive! This is why building up your expectations off of early pre-release footage is just plain dumb. You are never going to get the game you see years before release. The fact that the game is pretty darn close is a testament to Bungie. All that Bungie owes you for your $60 is a video game that functions. Despite the DDoS attacks and the millions of players there really haven't been many server issues. Feel bad for the poor DriveClub guys who launched a game that you can't play. I'd be more pissed about that. It boils down to one thing. Do you like the game? If so, quit bitching and play the game. If you don't, trade it in and don't buy the DLC or the next game. Vote with your wallet. Don't believe the hype around a game. Don't pre-order if you aren't absolutely sure you want the game you are going to get. Read reviews from reviewers you generally agree with. Do some research. Just because you bought into the hype and bought a game that is a little different than what you thought it was going to be doesn't mean anybody LIED to you or PROMISED you something you didn't get. It's all on you, buddy.

Wow, I've had fun with Destiny so far, minus a few issues that I will not go into detail on because they are all over the forums (mostly do not like how the "bosses have no loot system and end game gear (how are we each unique if we all have the same gear!)) After watching this though, i would have loved to have seen the finish product be more like this. I already have the DLC pre-ordered. If the game evolves to become more like this video, I may actually play Destiny for the next 10 years, instead of waiting to see what new DLC MAY bring us.

1 返信"... this, this is all playable space." Yeah, -blam!-ing bullshit! You were right, OP. This was the Destiny I was looking forward to playing.
-
Tbh I only see aesthetic differences, which means nothing to actual gameplay. Seriously I don't know what you saw in the video, that's at its core different from the current game, he got an exotic from a boss? Of course he did, its a show off, of course they'd make the game give him something super awesome to show off. Same goes for the public event, wasn't that perfectly times?

Good joke bungie you lying buttwipes 2: guardians don't drop into matches like that, they just lag into it from no where 3: dinklebots voice was craploads better in that video 4: Wtf? How come we can't carry two primary weapons? I want a rifle and a hand cannon 5: there are no players in patrol mode, and you expected public events to have 3 freaking full fireteams lol bungie lol 6: public event in that area does not collapse structures and cause that strong wind in current game. 7: Titan armor is not in game (as far as I know) 8: gun sounds were better 9: reticle and aiming was better 10: sliding was better 11: knifing and melee was better 12: lighting was better 13: where's my ghost light?

2 通の返信Man...lvl 200. Anyone notice the knife wielding warlock? Add this depth to the game we have now. Jupiters rings... Again anyone notice? The ships of the event, the destructed environment upon entry, and actual immersion. Wow...dinklebots voice and dialogue aside from a few features of the Destiny it is now, that's what I expected. But this....just like halo 2s "1st" level demo that was badass and then....gone. Shoulda known. Well guys I guess I've given up hope that we will ever see "older Russia" and everything else. Sad...

18 通の返信Alpha Lunaにより編集済み: 11/4/2014 1:57:31 AMIt's quite simple really.. It was scaled down in order to be feasable on last gen consoles which are ten years old.. And whether you want to believe it or not the Current Gen consoles [Especially xbox one] isn't that big a leap forward.. They cut corners on the hardware to cut costs. If the game was PC exclusive it would have had to make little sacrifice. As of right now what we got was an improved version of Borderlands with more emphasis on mmo style social play.

Proto6unnerにより編集済み: 10/15/2014 11:52:10 AMA typical stage demo to show what's all in the game. No big difference. One MAY think it is suggested we can explore a much bigger world, I admit that and I expected that, too. I also expeced a more lively world with outposts/towns etc. But apart from this, the game isn't different. Do not forget, that there is a lot of future content to come and yes they are already halfway done to add it later to the game to make money. That's the way to make games today. You also paid for the Diablo Addons.

1 返信I've seen so many people post the same video and say the same thing just get over it already we already got what we got, no amount of complaining will ever change that:/ I'm sorry you guys aren't happy with what you got, I for one am and I hope in time you guys learn to enjoy what you've been given.
-
Agreed. I hate the future content excuse. No matter what the future content is it will not have the same feel as what this demo originally made us think the game was going to be. I have fun with destiny, but I thought I'd be having more fun with it. Don't get me wrong I've gotten my money's worth with this game but, I thought it's was going to be a bit different.

33 通の返信(Quoted from GreenSeaDee) Queen's Wrath? - Extra Crucible and Vanguard bounties (Neither of which are terribly entertaining, if I say so myself) - Reward: Shittest tier Legendary armor and Ascendant Shards for break- Oh, wait, they removed that. That's right, Queen's Wrath was utterly worthless. Almost forgot. Iron Banner? - Re-skinned Crucible, which OP has shown, has no significant game-play differences whatsoever. - Reward? Not even full armor sets. Chest and Gauntlets along with some marks and shaders with a machine gun. Sure, it's a decent amount, but it was severely disappointing. I really should get used to the notion that Bungie ultra-hypes everything, despite what it actually is. Combined Arms? - Literally just Bastion and First Light. There are no f**king differences whatsoever. - Reward? Go f**k yourself DLC's? - House of Wolves: A DLC that I agree with exisiting. I love the idea of not making all content available right away, ease the player into it and offer it later so you can really enjoy the experience. Do I love the idea of buying it for 20 f**king dollars? Does a virgin nun like getting fisted in the asshole? I'll let you decide, because that is how I feel about this whole shabang. - The Dark Below: Go f**k yourself reading the above sentence. - Whatever That Thing In Terminus Is: I'm just going to go ahead and make the logical assumption Bungie wants to rip 20 dollars out of my scrotum for yet another pre-made, developmentally cut fragment of the story. Why don't you just skip a step and insert 5 dollar micro-transactions with the Speaker? 5 dollars for every sentence that pertains to the story. Because, hilariously enough, if that were the case, I wouldn't have paid a single f**king dime throughout the entire "Story" mode, except for the very beginning intro. Verdict? Go f**k yourself I would love to see Bungie fanboys continue to defend Bungie after reading this.

15 通の返信Miofwinにより編集済み: 10/13/2014 9:19:56 PMIn this demo we see; 1) An open and massive game world, that is real geometry and explorable. 2) Good dialogue, and good delivery of the dialogue, from the Ghost. 3) A torch function for the Ghost. 4) Decent loot drops from bosses. 5) A game world that is populated by other players only when an event happens, Instead of always bumping into random players grinding all the enemy's away. 6) Dynamic, and more frequent, cut scenes. 7) An actual f*cking story. Now, don't get me wrong. I'm enjoying Destiny. At the moment. But I also love Borderlands. And it's never disappointed me. I was led to believe things about Destiny that just weren't delivered. I want those things. And not as DLC. Look how popular GTA V is. That has frequent, free, updates. It has a huge map with the ability to explore all of it. Whether by, land, sea, or air. I know Bungie is better than this. I expect more from a Bungie game. inb4: Iz a beezneez!!! inb4: B-but dat 10 year plan inb4: If u dnt lyk in den dnt play it inb4: Retards and troll comments

2 通の返信Ikimash0uにより編集済み: 10/15/2014 4:29:36 PMWe are a complaining society and most seem to feel if things don't go their way or they don't agree with them then it's wrong. These things happen, they have happened since the inception of entertainment and will continue to do so. You have three choices as a consumer, play the game and find what you enjoy about each experience. Decide you don't like the game and move on. Or don't buy the game at all. You're not entitled to anything and if this is this first time an entertainment media let you down then welcome. You need to learn to take things at face value or choose not to partake in them but by no means should something be changed for you. I remember wanting games when I was a kid and then when I got them they were terrible but it was a new game and I had no other option so I made the games fun by finding things I enjoy. If you are not capable of said things then maybe games are not for you. It will happen again, be prepared.

That's what I want..older Russia..I wanted to feel over whelmed..totally immersed in this massive environment where I am free to make my own path.. And this video did imply that's the experience it was going deliver.. But you got me..I am hooked.. I Plan on buying the DLC now it's up to you to deliver what you were implying the gaming experience was going to be..
