This poll was done on a forum for one specific game, therefore represents the population of people who visit forums for that game. So the sample can be described as having 2 requirements; plays Destiny and Visits online forums for Destiny. So if you fall into these two categories, then this sample represents a population that you belong too. In order to get an idea if how many people actually have it, you would have to take out the "visits forums" requirement, unfortunately there is no easy way to survey 30 people who play Destiny without a forum. So this % is an estimate, I don't think it's THAT far off from reality, but eh. Think what you want. 30 samples is what is required to obtain a "simple random sample" in statistics this is the number that is required before you can say it represents the population with a % certainty. So yes, I am extremely certain that A) if you play Destiny and B) visit forums for Destiny then there is 75-85% chance you have this weapon or are going to get it before Sunday.
