I actually earned my Icebreaker...
All those coins I earned finally paying off, thanks Xur, and screw you RNG once again ^_^

5 通の返信It's not that I'm upset on the whole earned/bought ordeal...it's the fact that there's no other way to get it other than being lucky. It's like you buy a pack of pokemon cards and get that RARE HOLIGRAPHIC CHARZARD, and then as you walk out you find someone at a table selling holigraphic charzards to anyone who walks by. It's not "earned", it's "I am so special and lucky and no one else has this!!!!" With the coins, you know you are getting the coins, so the reward isn't special and doesn't give you that warm fuzzy feeling. I got my Icebreaker from my third legendary engram like a week after release, and at that moment I believed in my heard of hearts that God smiled on me, and He loved me. Then this morning I realized that God smiled on everyone, and that pisses me off. TL;DR I got my holigraphic charzard from the pack, and I hate the guy selling them outside the store.

How do you earn that which is random? It's like finding an unscratched lottery ticket inside a glowing orb on the ground, then taking it to the lotto-decryption services and winning 5000 dollars and saying you earned it. No way joes-way

Who really cares if you bought it or found it!? You think you are special because you got lucky with some drop. Good for you. In time everyone will have a good majority of the guns and nothing is going to make you feel [b]special[/b]. Best thing to do is come to the realization that buying and finding it doesn't matter it's just a game and get over it.

I 'earned' my ice breaker legitly, I don't mind that everyone else has it. It's just going to make the raid easier cause it dumps damage so well. But exotics are worthless because of xur and the rng. People aren't wrong about that

I just earned my second Ice Breaker. I earned my first one via strange coins. I earned my second one from a nightfall strike. I was thinking that I wish i had two when I bought the first one =D. Now I don't have to bank it between characters

I got it after my first Nightfall. Took me and my friends 2 hours to beat (Phogoth and fooling around aint helping) All I could do afterwards was sigh and yell that it would've been very useful to have DURING the Nightfall. Oh Irony, thy are a cruel bitch.

It actually IS earning it because you work hard to earn those coins and glimmer and whatever... You can't just shoot hella enemies and get a legendary /exotic drop and say you earned it... You got lucky... And for those who do the strikes and stuff it's kinda 50/50 because you worked to finish the mission but you getting an exotic or legendary is still luck because you didn't get guaranteed a certain type of engram/item

I beat the VOG 5+ times each week(normal mode). And I complete upwards of 50 tiger strikes each week. I would argue that I am more deserving of an exotic than a lot of people but I really dont care, I have fun, and that's what matters. The point is that I see a lot of other people's rewards and almost nobody is getting exotics except from that left side chest in the VOG. Im with plenty of people that deserve exotics but don't get them. Fortunately, we take our coins, that we EARNED, and buy what others got by shear dumb luck. It all balance's out. I really believe that upon release of the next DLC Bungie will make a new type of gear and allow us to fully equip exotics. I believe their intent is that everyone have a full set of high level gear by the next DLC release. I could be wrong but my idea is as valid as the next.

1 返信I got mine from killing aetheon a couple weeks ago. I really, really wanted xur to have the last word. But i am STOKED that my clan has access to icebreaker now. It is easily the best pve weapon in the game and now we'll cut through nightfalls like butter. Probably would have been my second pick, so im happy for everyone who picked it up
