So this week's Bungie Bounty, the event that has allowed the community to face off against the creators, has now been placed on... a member of the community.

When a prominent member of the fanbase and community called out the bounties for taking place at difficult times, Bungie decided to correct that mistake, by making it fair for everyone and not letting anyone play them.
In Deej's word's:

That’s when the idea emerged. Why not place a Bungie Bounty on the heads of the community? That way, we can cover more ground and play anytime we want. After all, the sun never sets on the Destiny Community.
Thus, the Hunter becomes the prey.

So Bungie is covering more ground... by covering none at all. Why wouldn't they want to play their own game?
Perhaps Bungie has just lost the desire to play, so I've compiled a list of activities that might help them reignite their desire to play this game:
- go play 25 strikes. You'll earn a guaranteed exotic weapon, and as a bonus, since there's only 5 strike missions, you'll become extremely familiar with every rock, puddle, and cave, making you a more efficient killer when you need to run the strike again as a nightfall or weekly heroic.
+ Bonus!, the story behind these strikes is so compelling, you won't mind playing those strikes another 10 or 15 times each week to level up that exotic gun you earned!
- Maybe you guys are just feeling like you've mastered the PvE game, and need a bigger challenge. This week you can play the Iron Banner. The level 4 Guardian's in the Iron Banner are really tough. Better pack your best armor and weapons, you'll need them
- Try out the Vault of Glass! Just make sure to bring 5 friends, because there's no matchmaking. As adults, getting 6 friends together for a few hours shouldn't be a problem. Heck, we only need 6 adults for our weekly volleyball game, and if we line up 3 or 4 subs a few hours before the game, we rarely have to forfeit. If your friends are in college, it's even better, they're always looking for things to do in the evenings, or instead of class.
- Go check out the Vanguard Outfitter and spend some time customizing your Guardian. Her stock refreshes every day or so. Can't wait to see what shader's she'll bring me tomorrow!
- Go read your Grimoire! It's full of mystery! Everyone loves a good mystery!
- Go hang out on patrol or in the tower. I've had a lot of fun meeting and interacting with many a fellow Guardian. It's a real social experience. Be Forewarned, there's no ability to voice chat with these guardians, so communications are basically limited to pointing at the intended Guardian and Tea-bagging him or Serving him with your sweet dance moves.
- Go participate in public events. There's a chance you'll randomly earn a small bit of the loot you need to level up. We know you forgot the times these were programmed to start since there's no in game help finding these events, but the community has come through for you at destinypublicevents.com
- go farming for natural resources. Knowing that very same terrain well will be handy when the new DLC comes out.
Remember Bugie team, there's always a reason to go back and explore. Something new to see and experience. Please rejoin the ranks of those playing. Without your Guardians to help snuff out the light, something bad could happen. The speaker drills that into me after every time I kill Riksis (edit). If a man with a history like the speaker bothers to repeat something 2 or 3 times a day, you just gotta have faith.

1 返信Dont forget they can learn all about animals. Bees, centipedes, and the newest addition to the menagerie, the zebra! Can you collect them all?!?

5 通の返信So, the community manager gets community members involved in a community event and you make a thread to cry about it. Cool beans! Please don't make any more new threads (y)

2 通の返信Wait, you mean they made it so they can make a 360/PS3 clan available, so us on our 'lower' systems can have access to similar (albeit majorly distorted) bits of fun you get to have? how -blam!-ing horrible.

8 通の返信It's so sad that is exactly the game of Destiny. Even the DLC missions are layed out the same. I'll play October 25th for sure. Maybe Dec. I'm moving to a new system bought 360 version re met a friend on ps4 and I'm moving up soon. All this playtime and why would I want to do it again. That's a lot of time. I'm turning down raids sometimes and I haven't beaten VoG cuz of the matchmaking, I'm 27 and hey, guess what?Learning Game Design. Just even out the chars to make it beatable deciding who compliments who, lvls, weapons, armor. Harder technology is on the market already and people will figure it out or weed through characters, or lifeless shells with as much I care about him or what I'm doing. I found myself, after one night of tossing my controller looking at the moon's altered skybox and wondered why? Like someone really pondering life's mysteries. Why am I on this planet, farming, why? I see all this shit, hear half ass lines and empty dialogue, I can't tell you exactly when...last Friday I believe. So I say, "Hell give the Grimoire Card thing one more try!"and I did. Read everyone I had. Vault of a Glass deserved the Mother Freakin' story / a Mother -blam!-ING cutscene beginning and end. With every Gaurdian in the scene. Fireteam Leader skip cutscene button. My God that's literally the first thing you learn in creating cutscenes! Afraid of douches watching or skipping. Again we can weed them out. Since reading the cards, Vex are coolest but it's almost as vague as the story. Nearly every important one by NPC's at tower...since then I have read the best mission/strike/story/items in the forums that I'd rather read than do another 5 bounties, get rare drops, after I have enough legendary, mind you I had to rank to get the first two primaries (some hours I sat in orbit and pondered the universe. And why can I not identify my own race.) and let our Guardians have the intellect...(stats....lmao)....to break down engrams they decrypt themselves and see it's a piece of shit and just break it down? So what I'm getting at if you've made it this far is what incentive do I have in buying a next gen copy or even coming back to the old one then anyways? As far as I see this is it. More of it. Love it? Fine. If there's another one I might rent it. Gameplay is solid. If it was a complete game, with innovative and next gen ideas oh and if you hadn't lied not only about the game but CONTINUOUSLY and not admit it and say whoopsie! Maybe the "ragers" wouldn't give actual feedback. Do we want to see you fail? I don't. Halo brought me two best friends I have today. But this has been a debacle since day one. Again just waiting on money and games atm. That's not good to hear over and over again about ten year contracted game. As I said before and not again. Become Legend. You used to be and it's not like this is groundbreaking concept you messed up. Especially since it's not what was implied. Last feedback till I see something actually change. I'll be playing off and on. I have an addictive personality but just cuz someone's addicted to meth does that make meth good? I play out of hope that this game may be something good and I'm feeling a comedown from the initial rush. And it's rough one. Not a good sign. Is....is this game made from meth?

4 通の返信I find it ironic how you're offering suggestions of "what to do" to people who created the game. Which is probably why Bungie Players have ceased playing altogether. Food for thought.
-
Well, considering one of Bungie's many slogans is "We make games we WANT to play" and they aren't actually playing or advertising stories of randomly entering strikes with strangers (instead, just Crucible Bounties), kinda raises some more red flags that Bungie lost its spark.
-
10 通の返信Stop trying to ruin the only thing done exceptionally well in this game (raiding) by making it just another stupid matchmaking list, because they'll have to nerf it in order to make it possible for six random people to be able to clear through, especially when you keep getting that level 24 who won't stop queing for Aethon because they're stupid.

14 通の返信Bungie has more problems to fix with Destiny than spending an hour or two playing it for useless bounties, this thread is ridiculous. Let us chase a community member, WHO CARES. They should be spending all their time with patching and game fixes anyway. Is this community FOR REAL? Since when do people care how much the devs actually play? I have never seen more bitching in my life than on these forums.

3 通の返信Witty. Good angle on the problems. (Also, when you have a bounty to kill Draksis, just exit to orbit as soon as you see the bounty completion, so you don't have to sit through an unskippable cutscene that runs longer than the mission did.)

6 通の返信Earlier played 2 Bungie employees today in Iron Banner. Checked them out and they have played Iron Banner, other crucible, patrol, story missions, Nightfall and Vault of Glass today. They had been on all day.

I worked on various games in the past. By the time the game was released..I WANTED a reason to not touch the game for a while. 100+ hours a week for 3-4 months gives some burn out where you just want to take a breather for a month or so. But yeah, stop whining about a community manager trying to get the community together to do something.
