Would halo be the game it is today without Microsoft's marketing campaign? Probably not. I mean it's a great game but I think we have Microsoft to thank for making it a household name. Then after blowing halo up which essentially made bungie what it is today Microsoft allowed bungie to buy itself back and become an independent company again. Sounds like getting your cake and eating it to if you ask me. So I am wondering why you all haven't supported the Xbox like you do the playstation? Don't you all think you owe Microsoft a bit? It's a little bit messed up if you ask me. Why not exclusives for the Xbox? How about some master chief armor? A special mount or ship? What about the halo assault rife? I just would think you all would help Microsoft like they helped you all? The Xbox controller was pretty much designed for this game after all so we all know it plays better on the Xbox controller than the duel shock, which has the unfortunate problem of the duel shock joy sticks bumping together. Throw us Xbox people some exclusive love dang it! We supported you and now you all should support us.

2 通の返信Halo blew up the xbox, and made it essential. Im sure that Microsoft was given the option to buy exclusive weapons and strikes, but they didnt want to spend the money on them. Microsoft should support the company that helped make them, not leave them in the dust.

5 通の返信The reason they do this is because Microsoft shafted bungie originally bungie wanted halo to be multi-platform but Microsoft made sure that that did not happen so they give us all this exclusive shit because it's there way of saying -blam!- you Microsoft anyways that's basically why

KebintheGervilにより編集済み: 2/2/2015 4:32:17 PMHypothetically... You're in business and you're making a product. The budget for that product is a lot. In fact, it's an awful lot. Let's say $500 million. Someone has a great idea that has been used in gaming before. "Let's approach the game companies and see if they will pay for exclusive content?" Yep, great idea. Maybe they approach both Microsoft and Sony (we don't know how they did it and are unlikely to ever know) but Microsoft for reasons unknown turned down the offer but Sony didn't. It may only have been a paltry sum that was paid, maybe not. It's still money that would have helped reduce the cost of developing the game and the kit was already there for everyone. Who knows, maybe PS users got all the Microsoft exclusive kit, maybe it was just released to everyone instead. Why should Bungie owe Microsoft anything under these circumstances? Sony paid, Microsoft didn't. What does the Master Chief and Halo have to do with this? Very little. Microsoft and Bungie both benefitted from the arrangement they had. This is a completely different game. If I want to run around looking like the Chief, I'll load up one of the Halo games I've kept.

Since Bungie already had the Xbox audience from Halo it made sense to push at the Sony audience, and it made sense on Sony's part to invest their money into such a popular developer in hopes of selling more consoles. I bet lots of people who hadn't decided which next-gen system to buy got PS4 because it's the better place to play Destiny content-wise.

6 通の返信Right now the name Bungie is only a name. The developers of Halo left and now work for 343 studios at Microsoft. The people that finished the development of Destiny are basically the scrubs of the former Halo team.

ilovcakeにより編集済み: 2/2/2015 4:09:15 PMU do know that helping them or helping ur own agenda is different right tbh it feels like bungie helped Microsoft more then it helping bungie With out halo xbox wouldn't have lived :) But yes it is also true that with out Microsoft there wouldn't be a halo

You got it wrong. I got to agree with the comments some have already made. The original Xbox was all but dead when PS2 had all the huge games. The only thing that made the Xbox blow up was how huge halo was, so if anything they should have thanked them for making that game.

I wish I saw the world through the eyes of a person who thinks business is like a clubhouse where all your friends hang out.. Loyalty, friendship and well.... a huge dose of naivety Its not like that, not at all... it is brutal and cutthroat and the highest bidder wins. Always. Come to terms with that now if you hope to survive in business.

1 返信Sony paid a lot of money to bungie, Microsoft didn't Same way that Microsoft paid more to whoever made advanced warfare to get dlc early

11 通の返信Exclusive content is a joke. I have PS and have played COD since the beginning up until advanced warfare and what finally made me quit was Xbox getting exclusives again every single time and the way they did it was give Xbox players the dlc on time instead of early and to ps players over a month late witch resulted in not getting the last dlc until just before the release of the next game. Just saying exclusive content ruins games.
