Couple reasons I have yet to complete the raid:
1) Lack of friends.
2) No one is interested in helping once they find out I haven't played it.
I think the people saying there shouldn't be match-making fail to realize not everyone is fortunate enough to make friends easily.
I've been on 360 six years now, and have only made three friends. Also putting yourself out there and asking randys is not something everyone is comfortable with. Numerous times I have put my GT out there to no avail. People need to grow up and stop with this bullshit elitist mentality here on the forum, last I checked we were supposed to be a community not separating others by their completion of in-game activities.

I feel like Toasts point is going unheard, the whole premise of essentially hooking up for a one time thing to achieve something isnt the goal. This is something that friendship is an outcome for as Toast would rather form a bond with a group to do this on a weekly basis, not go through the task wek in and week out of pairing with randoms. And in this point MM would further enhance this process cause then you would be letting the game do most of the work. Whether you make friends from these random encounters or go your separate ways at the end of the match, either way i feel that this would be easier then current methods. Plus when you put yourself out there, there is always a higher chance of rejection. Just my opinion.

Whose to say its Toasts fault. Xbox live isnt the most welcoming place to begin with. So the blame cant be directed at Toast when 99% of the time its usually horrible random encounters. Hence why there is hesitation to reach out, since past experiences have tarnished the optimism to do so.

I know exactly how you feel. I play Destiny mostly by myself, but occasionally with my two friends that actually have it. The rest of my friends are either still on last gen consoles or don't have Destiny at all.

In the same boat, i think MM is a must for stuff like this. So many ppl are being excluded from this opportunity at more challenging content because they dont meet the fireteam requirements. And i normally dont put myself out there because ive never made a genuine connection that way, they always happen by chance encounters. Ive made more friends through random MM then actually looking for them. Ive read briefly bungies choice on why not to include it initially but its closing so many doors for so many ppl right now. But toast pretty much covered it. Just my 2 cents.

This hits right at home since I haven't done it either. I have a lot of inactive friends on my friends list who I won't delete since I think that's rude but the amount of people I consistently play with has boiled down to 3 people over the years and one is on a different system (The Xbox One) while my other friend has given up on Destiny so it's pretty much just me and my lvl 26 Warlock bud :3 Thanks for sharing Toast hope you and Shifter can get the ball rolling on a good group. Lemme kow if you need a Titan btw :)
