So, this Archon Priest, Aksor is jailed in full armor and with a loaded super weapon.
Then when the guardians show up, they ignore the giant explosive barrels scattered around an instead of blowing up the container, or dropping it off the cliff they let this @$%#-er out so he can kick their ass.
I mean, the traveller is just like this giant lightbulb that finally gave humanity a clue.
If guardians are that stupid no wonder the whole race is just about extinct :)

65 通の返信Aksor was the Archon Priest from the House of Wolves. The House of Wolves were invaded by the Awoken Queen's armies, and were brought to heel when the Queen killed their Kell (basically, their House's King). When the Priest attempted to rally the House to him, the Queen had him imprisoned, weapon, armor, and all, as a sign that no Fallen within the Wolves had the power to stand against her. When the Prison of Elders was broken into and Aksor rescued, the Queen wanted to make another example of him, by dispatching Guardians to assassinate him in full view, as another sign that she has power at her disposal capable of bringing down even the strongest of Fallen. They were forced to fight to show that, even in a full confrontation, Aksor could not defeat the "peons" she commanded, and thus, no Fallen could defeat her, much less reach her. It was a show of force.

LOL... We've actually corralled all of the exploding barrels to the spot where he jumps outta the container and shot them for the sympathetic KERPLOSION!!! It didn't do much (if anything at all) to the Archon Priest... -_-

1 返信Eesh.... And WHY DONT WE JUST NUKE THE FREAKING ENTIRE PLACE?!!??!))))5chxodphxocp

Would it truly be a fair fight if you just got there and blew the priest up before it could do anything? The whole point of a boss fight is to be challenged stop whining and deal with the fact that the guardians allow the archon priest a chance at a fair fight.

1 返信Just goes to show the laziness in lvl and mission design. I've seen better missions written on this site.

14 通の返信For all we know, that prison could have been indestructible. Also, MMO's sometimes have instances where common sense is thrown out the window. As for nuking the whole place, I don't think humanity has any nuclear warheads. We also don't know if our enemies have some kind of anti-nuclear weapon. Let's not forget that humanity--or what's left of it--is all crammed into one city that the Traveler protects. Last thing, since we use jumpships to travel into enemy occupied territory, most likely we can't bring in heavy weapons or make a bomb run due to the enemy owning the skies. Hence why we launch strike teams for hit and run missions. Besides those enemies can teleport like no body's business. Heck, they probably just lock onto the nuclear bomb (if we did have them and decide to drop one on their front yard) teleport it back to us and blow us up instead.

3 通の返信Its a dumb story plot but its an excuse to kill a boss. So with a bad story that destiny has dont look to much into it.

1 返信Blow ig up ? No, lets let it out, maybe he'll give us legendary engram for freeing him

A. That was very entertaining OP. B. Further proof humanity is doomed: Guardians charging out into the open to take shots at the Arkon Priest, when all you have to do is whip out your sniper rifle and shoot the Arkon Priest through the little notch back at the point of entrance. You are shielded from the onslaught of the Fallen, and can take them on one by one. But....no. Time and time again these gungho nutballs charge out into the open and get wasted in seconds. If that's how we approach risky situations, it is no wonder so many laws exist to protect us from our own stupidity.

16 通の返信The rumor is that the Queen had him captured and taken to the Hive to have his soul siphoned out in the same manner they we leeching the light out of the Traveler's shard. Once that was done his lifeless corpse was to be set up in full regalia in her war room as a show piece. This was all blown apart when the convoy taking him to the Reef from the Moon was high-jacked and taken to Venus for restoration. Why Venus? You may ask. Spirit Blooms are used to restore the life force of a vessel which no longer had possession of it which is the property harvested to strengthen armor, in effect extending the wearers life force. Dialogue in the mission points out that the Queen has a high bounty on taking out the Archon Priest as well as mentioning the restoration of his soul. The rest...I made up.

1 返信The fact that some if not most of my clan considers Aksor to be more difficult than Atheon is unsettling.

3 通の返信Guardians are an honorable bunch. We just want a good, honest fight. Maybe that's why Aksor's laughing so much as he steamrolls us. I would also like to note that his "cell" has a giant gun on it. My friend and I like to imagine that it's actually a weird looking starship; he flies around, hunched over the controls in the too-small cockpit, shooting down Guardian ships and laughing manically the whole time.

1 返信It's true though I've done every strike in this game probably 45 to 50 times each and that one takes the longest.

8 通の返信I have brought this up hundreds of times me: "hey guys, we could just push this over the edge and call it good" other titan: "no no, thats too simple we have to open it and kill him" hunter: "there is no honor in that" Ghost: you sure this is a good idea me: "not at all" other titan: "you killed a god earlier" me "that was a bad idea too"

6 通の返信When that priest came out of his box he should have roared then let out a whimper and ran to the ledge and started peeing. There is no telling how long he was needing to go. That would have been more realistic.

7 通の返信You're going off of logic in a game where a robot space wizard can dance while fighting four-armed aliens?

1 返信I've been meaning to ask this...but why is his prison made of a Fallen Walker? I mean was it just a humane gesture to imprison him in a familiar setting or cruel irony?
