I am a very competitive PvE player. Let me explain, I'm always trying to kill the most enemies in the strikes/raid. I also want to do the most damage to the boss, but there is no official way of knowing if I did the most. I think it would be really awesome seeing how much percent damage you did to the boss and compare it to your fireteam. Please bungie try to put this in because I can't be the only one that wants a DPS meter in the game.

A personal DPS Meter would be nice. Only you see it and you can set it to count the last 5-10-20 or 30 seconds and it shows your average DPS in that time. It would provide no reward and doesn't show to other players so that it doesn't encourage selfish play, just personal tracking for adjustments and fine tuning the way you deliver pain!

People will rush to be the first one to aoe packs of enemies even if it gets them killed in the process. No one will want to be the guy who has to stop shooting to go do that thing or go revive that guy or carry the shield. I've literally been in matchmaking strikes where on the final boss I spent the entire time killing adds. I probably did a ton less damage than I could just pounding the head of the boss with my scout rifle.

2 通の返信Thats not really being competitive >_> A dummy can just spam the strongest weapon he has and kill the weakest enemies to achieve that... If anything, precision kills/damage should account for more as well as shots missed and assists counting towards your total for a better overall report. Having said that, time should also greatly alter the overall results since aiming quickly is a true skill compared to taking your time lining up slow headshots BUT it would all be pointless as ppl will find "cheat spots" where they can manipulate the score :U So NO, not exactly a good idea as its easily exploitable. Pve isn't about competition, i know players who only kill the weak enemies and barely shoot at the boss for these high kill counts :T

1 返信I have to say no to this, one person gets less dps on the boss and everyone will go for their neck. WoW all over again.

4 通の返信this game was not meant for that level of competitiveness or bragging in pve. so no it is not needed in the game. Yes you are the only one, this is not WoW with its dps meters... it does not matter who did the most damage to a boss, only that the boss was defeated.

I wind up with the most kills every strike. Most likely because I seem to be the one handling the mobs on the boss fights. Meanwhile everyone else is busy whaling away on the big baddie while I'm running around trying to kill the guys sneaking up behind them.
