Popularity of game...still thriving ?
I think it is. The reason ? Look at how many new threads are created each minute. I've NEVER seen a gaming forum this popular before...EVER.
In fact by the time I post this....a minute later, my thread will probably already be on page 3.
Hats off to Bungie for making an amazingly addicting game. And how pathetic and sad is Gamespot for doing such a horrendous review? They've lost my respect COMPLETELY for giving this game a 6/10. Just goes to show, somebody over there much be ill to give it a 6/10. Or maybe there were politics / money involved to give it such a horrible review. There is ABSOLUTELY no reason to give this game a 6/10. I quite frankly think it's the best and most addicting (and fun) game ever made.
We all know the game made around $500 million during release...but no major new news articles since. Bungie should really reach out to the media more, to let the public know how pleased and continually successful this game has been since. Almost every day I see more new people on Twitter / Facebook saying how they just got the game and are hooked already. The enormous popularity[i] [b]since[/b] [/i]the release...Bungie should focus on, and continue letting the world know how the game is catching on like a wild fire.

I pretty much stopped playing Destiny that I even forgot that I had it, I played through alpha and beta and enjoyed it but after release seeing as the social aspect is lacking and content is slim with a really long path to nowhere.

2 通の返信I don't think the amount of posts on a forum are relative to the popularity of a game. Also, in my opinion, believe the game deserves every bit of that 6/10 score. I enjoy the gameplay, but the lack of a good story, and lack of content really hurts it. I don't know about anyone ele, but I can only do the same exact thing so many times. It really seems that the game is geared towards the casual players. This isn't a bad thing, but for the more serious gamer, the only thing left for them to do is the raid, and the weeklies. Seeing as you can only get rewards for them once per week, it seem kind of pointless to play. Unless you roll another character, but with the lack of a story, and extremely repetitive missions, I really just don't feel like doing that. So yeah, this game definitely deserves a 6/10. The story is unimaginative, incoherent, and slightly boring. The only thing that saves this game from tanking is the gameplay and some of the activities. The raid is super exciting, and feels nearly new almost every time I run through it. The Nightfall Strike is refreshing as it adds more tension to the boring strikes, so that's a half of a plus. Bungie truly knows how to make shooting things feel fun, but their storytelling and originality is now sub par at best. Just my two cents.

2 通の返信The games content has been butchered. We all see it. That the reason for the crap rating. The reason people are still playing is a crap load of us bought the game on Bungies rep alone. That many people will bolster any forum. I will stick around a while for sure to see if they make any moves toward fixing it. I don't like walking away from a game i paid full price for. But I'm already bored to death.

the main thing is , the majority know this game rocks. Nuff said. if your complaining, your probably burnt out from playing too much. Just take a break and you'll love it again in a few days.. btw, join our clan. Clan search (using clan tab on the left) for TrollPatrol (no space in between) currently were auto-accepting all members. So you can get in instantly and have the clan tag under your name in minutes. 2 通の返信i will give it a 7/10 which can go higher depending on patches that will come out for it. its a great addictive game, but you can not ignore the serious flaws it has. and looking at 1 forum to see how popular a game is lol therefore you have to see the numbers on their servers, how many players in the beginning and how many now, per month, half year, year.

1 返信What kind of money or politics could be involved to give the game a 6/10? People bribe for better ratings. There's no one that'll pay for worse ones. Most of the flaws that reviewers note are pretty obvious.

Fun for a while with solid gameplay and some addictive loot elements, but honestly would not buy again.

1 返信I've said this before but it needs a repeat. A 6/10 is not a bad score. In a ten number rating system 5 is the average. Giving it a 6 means that the game is above average, but lacks certain qualities that would make it great. Yes the game is fun and while it's easy to forgive certain flaws in the name of gameplay, that doesn't change the fact that those flaws exist.

The max I can give Destiny would be a 9.5 because of some console exclusivity, but I give it a 7.5. The story is short and uncompleted and there are some balancing issues which was to be expected. I don't really have any other issues and in total I think it's a great game. [spoiler]Remember this is just my opinion, that's all a review is an opinion. [/spoiler]

6/10 is a perfect score for the actual state of the game. It may change with future content. I love this game but i have to be fair with myself and not be blinded by my expectation of the game. As for today the game is a work in progress. 6/10. story is broken, loot system is getting better and repetitive strike, bounty, mission is killing me slowly but surely. On the other hand i have found the game deeply addictive when playing with friends. It really help keeping up with the insane repetitive game mechanic. I come back to destiny as a social activity. Shooting stuff with friends. And have a lot of fun :) As Borderlands is coming out in a few days i will give destiny a break and jump into a real loot/grind fun fest. Playing BL will certainly give me some perspective on the actual state of Destiny gameplay and mechanic. I already ordered the 2 Destiny expansion pack so i will come back for sure! Peace
