The reason I've created this thread is not to gripe about the game's bugs or whine about gameplay, but to expose a problem I've had since the Beta test in July.
Back then I noticed high forms of "persistence" - also referred as visual discrepancies caused by certain light frequencies - when I played Destiny for periods of more than 2hrs. At that time I expressed my concerns on the forums, but received no replies about the issue. Since then the issue has persisted post-release, though by turning down my console's resolution from 1080i to 720p, I have been able to curtail some of what I've been experiencing; however, I am still getting it a lot and, for over a week, have not played the game because the last session made me quite ill.
After researching this online, I discovered a report about how Destiny failed its Safety Test at E3 and, whilst I don't have the condition, some of my symptoms are similar when playing. I have also ruled out hardware faults on my Playstation 4 - after playing Watch_Dogs and Killzone: Shadow Fall on the same platform as Destiny, I don't have any health problems...
Now it could be the copy of the game I have isn't working properly, so I would like to know how to get the disc replaced. Should the problems persist after this, we can discuss the matter further.

I've resolved some of the issues I've experienced with Destiny for the time being, which allow me to play the game with only minor, adverse effects. When I return to my studies next year, however, I plan to revisit the game as part of my accessibility research.

idk if you could get the disk replaced on those grounds as the shop would just say its a health related issue nothing wrong with the game : / maybe you photo sensertive or something. Also if i play certain games i get this if flashing lights but no encountered with destiny personaly

1 返信You probably have photo sensitivity and are logging in too many hours. Scale it back.

1 返信Do you have problems watching 3d movies? Something like 15% to 20% of Americans have a thing called photo correction vision, or something like that. It's not a real medical problem it just means your eyes don't like certain forms of artificial light and projections. Things like plasma tvs are known to aggravate this.

I had no problems during the beta but the first day I played the full game I started having problems. Now I have to play with the lights on. Every so often I turn the lights off so I can see better, but then I get sick again. Kinda sucks.

17 通の返信this game could have been tremendous...instead it's just blah....i keep thinking about the original vision of destiny and all that could have been. that game could have become legend....instead we get this watered down version that while playing when my GF says "honey i need you to help with blah blah blah" i have not problem dropping the controler. i was really looking for a reason to break up with her and the original vision of destiny was the basket i put all those eggs into. don't get me wrong for some reason i don't understand i keep playing it over and over agian at the same time thinking "wow this is really boring" or "what is the story/reason behind this particular event i'm doing". remember grape drink and grape juice look the same and sometimes taste the same but they are not the same formula. right now destiny is grape drink and the original vision is the grape juice i salavate for.
