People are jumping way out to the sniper perches on the templar fight and glitching this fight. Everyone is stacked so the relic can just cleanse and wait for super to charge while ignoring the oracles. The templar and his cronies do not shoot at you.
There are also players who take the shield and jump back up to the place where you spawn after a wipe. I would suggest placing invincible, OHK, melee mobs or a "turn back now" zone up there, as well.
Since so many of you are insisting that the templar or his mobs shoot at you from all but the farthest spot, or that this method takes too long, I decided to create a clip for you all. Once the relic holder is on the platform, the boss stops shooting. You can see the harpies sitting there not shooting, although they have a clear line of sight to me. The fight lasted for about 3:30 after the shield was taken. https://vid.me/6YY
Edit::: It looks like the October 14th update will take care of this. Thanks, Bungie!
To all of those below who can't tell the difference between an exploit and a strategy, I told you so.

Honestly I don't see it as an exploit. When my team did this strat it still took us a while because A) The Templar does in fact still shoot at you, except when he teleports to the back right side of the map, and thats only because we're out of its line if sight. B) Other than the oracles that can be seen/have a grenade thrown at, there are still two oracles that constantly marks you after every single cleanse. And that really brings stress to the relic holder, since you can only cleanse so much before a sudden mark that wipes your team. Besides the raid mechanics of the relic, oracles, and the ritual of negation this fight is no different from head glitching the nexus strike. All these cry wolf pve exploits are just sad. If you try to patch one exploit, people constantly find another. And once someone finds an exploit in pvp, then thats something to cry about. They'll probs just add a kill wall anyway so contgrats. Woo. You saved us from the darkness. You must be rewarded for your efforts.

2 通の返信We tried that once, and our crew agreed it was WAAY slower than doing it legit. The fight isn't particularly difficult to begin with when you have a god crew and good rhythm. It took us at least twice as long from the floating safety station. Won't do that again.

8 通の返信I don't quite think this is an exploit. I do agree that it is an unintended outcome due to poor design, but not an exploit.

2 通の返信I don't think they thought of it. I am sure they would have made the boss shoot at you way out on the edge if they thought people would use it. I say man up get in the fight. But if that is the way you have to do it to pass it feel sorry for you when they change it.

Why does there always have to be ONE specific way to do things? Personally I don't believe it's an exploit. The players used their brains and just figured out an easier way to finish FOR THEM. The players evolved within the confines of the game. If I were bungie I would applaud the creativity and intelligence of the players for completing the same task but in a different manner which was not as they planned. The raid is still pretty hard for some people, maybe this works for them best. I find that thinking in Destiny is grounds to "oh that's an exploit, should be fixed" kind of thing. I feel like if we're not following bungies orders to the dot we are wrong. There should be more ways to play. PERIOD.

2 通の返信Dude go away why do people like you always insist on ruining a good thing ? Just because you're bad at the game?

9 通の返信WTH is wrong with this community? The OP is giving his opinion on HIS observations of a game mechanic, why all the hate? That's like saying, get with the crowd or sit down. Him ranting about this won't change anything unless the devs feel the same, in which case the game wasn't meant to be played in that capacity. OP has no power to change the game so stop the stupid "trying to dictate our lives" comments. If you didn't like his comment, leave the thread or give constructive criticism. Calling him a loser in life or having no friends to play with is all conjecture, and we are all holed up playing the same game. Pot, kettle, black. Anyway, although I haven't played it yet (as I'm only LVL 14), I think with a game like Destiny that is pretty free roam, if you can reach it, then it's accessible and meant to be. Unless they are glitching something to access the pillars, it's all clean game. What I do think though, is that if you are too far from a boss for him to aggro, he should receive dramatically reduced damage unless your weapon has enough range AND impact. If they're using snipers from a sniper perch, ain't nothing wrong with that.

1 返信This entire game is one giant mess in terms of AI and pathing. In literally every situation you can glitch the enemies. I was doing a daily heroic the other day, I think it was the one where you protect the ghost while he scans something (pun intended). Anyway the enemies were largely knights with swords and those jumping hive who you can one punch, i foget the name, Anyway as they are melee only mobs all you have to do to kill them is jump on a box. any box. then they just go dead and are 100% impotent at dealing you any kind of damage. You can literally go AFK with 30 mobs inches from you and they wont touch you. Yesterday's sword of Crota event I found a way to have the knights chase you and never be able to hit you and you can hit them. It really doesn't even take much thought once you realise how fundamentally flawed the AI in the game is. How many times have you noticed your position directly effects the pathing of the mobs. Something the was chasing you all of a sudden stops and starts running away? So easy to exploit it's sad. I haven't played VOG but at least it's consistent with the rest of the game. Kinda feels like im in a beta test and should be feeding this stuff back to the developers but it's live so -blam!- em.

InvictusProsperにより編集済み: 10/2/2014 1:16:13 PMI joined a raid group that wanted to do this strategy. It took almost half an hour to get past the Templar fight and we started over once because the guy with the shield fell off. My normal raid group goes through the whole raid in about 40-50 minutes. I don't care if they want to do it the noob way. We will keep doing it the quick way, don't let that punk teleport. *my raid group does it the normal way.

4 通の返信Find people who don't don't do this so called "exploit" but by no means is it an exploit, it's just smart, stop -blam!-ing bitching, you're probably one of those kids who bitch over everything and want everything nerfed, if you expect anyone to kill Templar on the flat ground on hard difficulty, you need to hit yourself in the head a few times

6 通の返信Okay, you seem to be one of those intolerant morons that wants a challenge and doesn't want anyone to have it easy. Can you not just ignore the exploit? Firstly, if you don't like it, don't do it. Secondly, I don't consider it much of an exploit since it takes a whole lot longer to do it that way than in the arena, which balances it out a bit. Even so, you end up "leisurely" shooting him from down below as well, considering you can just use the Aegis' shield as protection. There's almost no unbalanced part whatsoever, apart from the fact that most enemies can't hit you, but even then they actually can sometimes. Don't try and ruin other people's fun or try and force them to do things your way. Just don't do it, and ask your team not to do it.
