Good morning/afternoon/evening Guardians,
I have spent a lot of time reading posts in this forum today, and the only thing that is very clear to me is that many people are very angry and that many people are very angry at many people for being very angry.
The name-calling and directionless hatred and frustration don't seem to be accomplishing a lot, but I see a lot of very valid ideas and complaints buried in the rubble.
That is why I have made this thread. I think that we have some good ideas in this community for how to improve the game, and instead of having Bungie dig through 647 layers of teenage angst and fanboy hate, we can create a compendium of desired changes here that I will manually update as every new idea comes up. I will try to read every direct reply to this thread. I may ask for clarification of ideas, but every time I run across a new thought that would be beneficial, I will include it.
If you have been a part of other threads with great ideas, please redirect those users here so that they can share with the giant list.
I am treating this as a Green Hatting session, so show no fear when bringing up any idea that you feel would be great for the Destiny universe.
TLDR; Feed ideas to the idea list
I will start us off with an idea, and you guys and gals fire away:
Hey everybody, thank you so much for all of your brilliant ideas and discussion.
Above and below I have included a link to the list, and I will be updating intermittently as I get to read your comments and understand your ideas
THE BIG LIST OF CHANGES THE COMMUNITY WOULD LIKE TO SEE
Edit: Adding things to the list. Added a TLDR for people who hate words. Updated to number based listing, not in any particular order, just to keep count.
You have all been absolutely amazing. I will be closing this thread to new suggestions at 12:00pm Eastern Standard Time today, 10/2/14. I will then organize the data, divide it into categories, and start a series of threads with similar titles to start a vote. I greatly appreciate all of your time and contributions! Thank you
Awesome job everyone! The deadline has been reached and we have two hundred forty-two suggestions.
I need a little bit of time to organize this data. I am going to summarize the ideas and why they would be beneficial in a small paragraph under each. I may condense multiple ideas into a single idea, and while I am going to keep the original document with all of your names on it, I am going to remove all of the names from the extrapolation and voting documents.
This is not to be mean, and this is not to steal anyone's ideas. This is a document made by the community for the community's benefit, and while the names should be recorded in the interest of keeping history, the true goal here is to improve the game universe.
Again, the original document will maintain all names and ideas, but I will be removing those names and possibly condensing ideas for the sake of the voting that will occur as soon as I can manage it.
Thank you all so much for all of your contributions, time, and support, and I hope you are looking forward to this as much as I am.
Voting has begun guardians. I expect you to lend your light to the ideas you care about most.

1 返信Holy mother of jesus, i could of sworn this was at 89 ideas when i last checked the other day.
-
1 返信Some of these ideas are great... a few are ridiculous! This is Destiny, not a remake of the old game you used to play!
-
1 返信Got this idea reading another post..:) Customizable quick slots using directional pad. Gestures are nice but need quick access to stuff. Maybe long press on back button opens ability to leave areas and the normal press opens a selection wheel.. or vice-versa

2 通の返信Would love to see the ability to wield my hand cannon while riding my sparrow I think this would be a great idea..because at least you have some protection while riding your sparrow and it wouldn't be op Like this post and hopefully some people agree!

2 通の返信Think my solo post got burried so ile post here. I havent read the list so let me know if its already suggested. Hopefully I can build on another's idea. Gear load-outs Have gear that is set for each player classification. I have several exotic armor pieces geared for the gunslinger and one for blade dancer and its to time comsummjng to switch gear during hard strikes and raids. If armor is equipped on one class would need another. More use for multiple armor drops like from queens missions. Better invite clarification/ingame notice broadcast When no friends are in would be nice to make a general post that I'm running weekly heroic or something. If I could make announcement at tower, any random person could join my fire team.

1 返信I had posted something similar a few days ago with just about 10 items, after reading through all these ideas, it looks like i have the same ideas as others. I would like to add a few things 1) Splash Damage - It seems all the enimies in the higher diffculties do insaine amounts of AOE, or Splash damage. I'm not fighting a smarter more agile enemy. But one who has had it's damage turned up. Not something I enjoy. Also the AOE and Splash damage does not obey line of site. Needs to be fixed. 2) I understand the whole 3 person fire team. However I should be able to be in the same patrol area as the folks in my xbox live party. We should all be able to occupy the same space. 3) An auto destroy feature, something that allows me to set items of this "color", slot, and type to be automatically destroyed. 4) there's no incentive to play any of the story missions over again at the higher difficulty levels. I'd farm a certain mission at a diffculty knowing i had a chance at atleast a legendary item. The risk v/s reward system in the game is kind of empty 5) The Queens Wrath is a great idea, but after gaining the chest and helmet, there's really no reason to do anything else. I'm not insterested in a ship or a sniper rifle. Please update that, so gaining rep with her actually means something. Again very low risk v/s reward Patchworkviking, you have done a great thing here! It's one of the most constructive posts i've seen on the feeback part of the forums. Thank you for taking the time to put this together..

1 返信I see a lot of ideas here, and I'm not sure if this idea has been mentioned, but if not I'll go ahead and post it up, just in case it gains any weight. I'm going to avoid things like commenting on the story or the loot drops, as those get talked about ad nauseum, so instead my thought is about something related to gameplay. In regards to Guardian powers, the grenades available to each all seem to have a niche where they're good or not. In fact I'd say that, as far as the grenades go, Bungie did an amazing job of balancing them out in terms of power and use, because they seem to be more situational than a natural take one and never use any of the others. As a primary warlock player I can say that I favor the vortex grenade on the warlock largely because I like the shutdown potential in pvp, but also tend to aim for beefier targets in pve with it. However, I can see points where the bolt might be useful, but moreso favor switching between the vortex and the scatter grenade. These choices become even harder to separate out when I use the sun singer, my current preference out of the two options. Solar grenade does an amazing job of clearing small waves or destroying slightly tanky targets or shutting down doorways and denying ground, firebolt grenade is great for sniping behind cover and getting some ticks of burn damage (absolutely love touch of flame and viking funeral), and the fusion grenade is amazing for blasting through shielded but otherwise squishy targets (looking at you, wizards) or cheesing people in pvp. Probably my favorite part of the gameplay element with the warlock is the variety in grenade spam potential. That said, I absolutely hate having to find cover or wait until I'm dead before I can find a safe moment to open up my menu and manually swap out grenades. I feel like a ton of my dps potential (and by extension a lot of my fun in general) is deterred by having to take so much extra time out to switch grenades. I am not now, now am I ever, going to have one particular grenade I feel is so ultimately useful that I'll be content to use it all day every day, in every situation. So what I'd like to see that would further enhance what I already find to be a decently fun gameplay element is some sort of quick-swap function for the grenades. Maybe holding down the grenade button and pressing the directional pad to change from one to another (such as Left = grenade 1, Down = grenade 2, Right = grenade 3) That way the time when my grenade is on cooldown I can gauge the situation, take a second or two to decide if my currently equipped grenade is sufficient, or if I need to switch and change to something else. The moment-to-moment needs of this game change all the time in firefights, I'd enjoy seeing an option to respond to them in a timely manner with well placed explosives.

1 返信Add full scale PVE invasion events. For example: the the Fallen launch an invasion of the moon. Prior to the invasion all players will be informed they have 2-3 mins to get to the moon to fight, no matter where they are. As more players converge on the moon the enemies become stronger, where if enough players show they could spawn a rare mega boss.

1 返信We should have a tab in the menu that displays our current reputation with the various known factions.
-
1 返信I am sure it's been said. But I wanted to name my character. Not just use my gamer tag :(
-
1 返信I'd like to see more communication options between Guardians, especially a "Guardian pointed to [named item, eg spirit bloom]" dialogue on the hud, to help share collectible locations.
-
1 返信As an add on to #110, make all outposts have the same items, to prevent the bothersome task of going to every outpost on every planet.
-
1 返信Thanks for including so many of the ideas off my own list. I don't claim ownership of all the ideas, rather I mealy represent the people that did suggest them… regardless your list has my full support and I hope Bungie implements all these great ideas that their community has taken the time to share!

2 通の返信For the DLC have public areas at war like a control match only against the fallen/vex/hive/cobal. and which ever wins change look of area for each race. would make retreading more fun

2 通の返信Hi PatchworkViking! Thanks for creating this awesome thread and list! This is exactly what Destiny needs. My ideas: 1. Add the option to play from the 3rd person perspective (pros? cons?) 2. (XB1) Make changes to the corresponding photos of each achievement earned. Some are the same picture, just with a different emblem in the lower right. Changing these to reflect the achievements more may give a higher sense of accomplishment. 3. Slightly change the design of caves in PvE on each planet or update them to be more extensive; most are simply the same copy and paste design inside. 4. Add the option to purchase weapons/defense systems on your sparrows at level 20. Also, add the option to customize its cosmetics for even more of a personal experience. Clan emblems could also be placed on the front center of the sparrow. (Would naming your sparrow be of interest to anyone? Just a thought; more personalization). 5. Enhance the armor customization: Currently, I have had no sense of personalization with it. I just find whatever has the better stats and put it on. Sometimes, it may not appeal to me, but I have to deal with it because it's the strongest armor I have. Currently, I have body armor that makes me look like a frilled lizard, and I'm not too ecstatic about the appearance. With each piece of armor, maybe including different styles of that particular piece can be provided to enhance the personalization, or have the ability to purchase/remove different customize-able items for each piece. This would include color as well. Some players may like white gauntlets and black body armor or maybe a blue helmet and red cape, etc. 6. I'm not sure if some of this is already implemented, but maybe add some customization to your class specific items for your clan. Creating an emblem for your clan, for example, would give you the option to add it to your character's class specialty items (Hunters - Capes; Warlocks - Bonds; Titans-- Badge). You could also choose two(more or less) colors to represent your clan, and these two colors could be developed into a shader of some sort to colorize your guardian by representing your clan. With the class specialty items for clans, if a player were to inspect them, the clan would be able to create its own title and description for the item to be seen by players all around to know what clan you're representing. Also, adding a sort of clan wars type event every so often would be cool. Maybe once a month, clans from all over will battle each other for first place in the Crucible, and Bungie could give 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place rewards. The names of those clans could also be displayed somewhere in the Tower (obviously first place being displayed in a more rewarding fashion than second or third), giving clans even more incentive to compete for glory and display their clan name for people to see for a month, and when that month is up, that title is up for grabs yet again. Adding a 'trophy room', or a place where the achievements of the clan can be viewed, could also allow players searching for clans to see the achievements of the clan, and for the clan members to have something to be proud of. That's all I have for now, but if I think of more I'll come back and post more ideas. Sorry if some of these ideas were already suggested, or some of the clan ideas already exist. I'm not in a clan, so I don't know too much about the extent of its personalization. Thanks again for creating this thread! Guardians unite!

1 返信All the suggestions were in the original game,Activision cut it all out and will sell it to you later.don't get me wrong I like the game a lot but it now seems disjointed. I would like to be able to use alien weapons like in halo

5 通の返信1. Please mark/highlight new grimoire cards if sticking to the grimoire via app/website. I basically read through all of them to find the one that is new. P. S. I will pay for more dance moves

7 通の返信SPARTAN 001934により編集済み: 9/30/2014 8:25:23 PMGet rid of the gestures and replace them with ammo or glimmer boost items. Have grimore in game instead of the app, turn the tower into a more rich experience like the citadel from mass effect. Fighting in space would be good (such as a space station or ship etc). Varity in the bounties and free roam mission would be great. Oh and add a story to this game would be even better!!!

4 通の返信Air support from our ships. We could upgrade our ships with weapons like machine guns, missiles, bombs etc and call them in for air strikes while we are on the surface.

1 返信I had an awesome idea on here that died out because people don't like to read ideas. I thought it would be cool to have enemy caravans that you could find around the world randomly, but it's not like a public event, just you and your fire team can find it, no notifications saying that there is an event nearby. The caravan would contain loot and defenses depending on your fire teams levels. 1-8 could just have some reaver vandals and dregs guarding it. 9-14 could have reaver dregs, reaver vandals, and reaver shanks. 15-20 could have all the above, and a reaver captain or two. 20+ could have all of the above AND a devil walker walking with the caravan. The loot would also depend on the defenses as well, so the higher the defenses, the better the loot. The caravans would also have check points in the world, which would be nearly twice as guarded. What do you think?

3 通の返信Ever seen a Fallen Ketch break into atmosphere right before an event and think "I wanna blow it up" ? Mix it in with some Star Wars: Battlefront 2 Space battle mechanics and we have an instant rival to the Sword of Crota mission.

1 返信Just a tiny thing that came up in coversation at work today - actually have bosses drop loot in instances. No need to wait for the final screen that's up to 30 seconds away from the conclusion of battle. Boss dies, shinies fall to the ground. It may sound silly, but I'd rather get excited for what I'm picking up than wait for a screen to show up, if you know what I mean.
-
1 返信Haven't got time at the moment to read though them so not sure if has been mentioned.. How about some sort of random events while travelling between planets?? Wether your in a Fireteam or Solo. I don't have a creative mind so I can't think of any examples, My apologies.

1 返信AsperDubにより編集済み: 9/30/2014 7:54:09 PM
72) Add inventory hotkeys for combat outside the tower - HavokNDespair
and
88) Add customizable loadouts - Bit0Bear
Could probably be condensed... In fact, you should take a fresh look at all these ideas and condense a lot of it so it makes sense and has a chance of being heard with consideration.
