Pfft, Nightfall Reward
Figured I'd solo it since its the night before reset and why not give it a shot. Got 1 Strange Coin as the reward, GG thanks game.

2 通の返信Pfft I did it last week and got a legendary. Pfft I did it twice this week with diff chars and got Doctor Nope and another legendary AR. Yay for me!!! Sike. Chances are if your beating nightfall, you have legendary gear already leveled up. So throwing some AR at me twice does nothing to reward me at all. So treat the nightfall as a reward itself guys, if you beat iy thats your reward. As opposed to beating it, getting non exotic stuff, repeat weapons, etc. Lol I honestly feel like my char is unlucky like ive beat nightfall a total of 3 times. No exotics. Beat the raid twice. 2 pieces of raid gear no weapons or anything cool, even though raid gear will possibly be more useful (shit perks though). Lol and I do all this stuff. Go into a game of rumble. Win by 1000+ points and the 2nd kid gets an exotic Rocket Launcher called Truth. Man, talk about frustrating.

I feel your pain man, but, this is in no way a confirmed conspiracy or theory just a personal belief, it seems like the loot tables increase when you are grouped/finish an event (not all of them) with more people in your group. For just one of many examples, I like to run around on patrols, A LOT, just killing stuff and opening chests. A run usually consists of getting about 2-400 of a planet's given material (relic iron, spirit bloom, etc.) which I then trade in for Crucible Rep. since I hate PvP. While on these runs I tend to kill a ton of enemies and open a shitload of chests, well over 150-250 chests. My loot tables seem static, erratic at times, but somewhat static when I am alone. My friend recently bought the game and I figured I would go help him start out a few missions in Old Russia. First ten Dreg and Vandal kills dropped two Legendary engrams and I accumulated about 8-9 blue engrams between the first two missions alone. That had to be an "erratic" scale I thought to mtyself, but the engram rate from grouped kills seemed to increase it the more we played together. I haven't been able to find a group since, out of not even looking for one because I enjoy playing by myself, but there may be some merit to this. Sorry about your rewards, but Strange Coins are extremely nice to get, who knows...you may have just enough of them next week now to grab a weapon, and/or a piece of armor and maybe even a sweet Void Drive for your sparrow.

Aw man that sucks so bad! I didn't even know it was possible to get such a bad reward, but obviously it is since you just did! I've had an exotic 3 times!! Wowowow I feel so sorry for you, you should go complain on the forums!

4 通の返信Strange... Gave me 10 strange coins, my friend got a legendary weapon, and the other got a exotic sniper, one that doesn't need ammo just recharges after some time or something like that. 1 strange coins doesn't seem should be in the "reward system" for that level

5 通の返信What? There's no way. Thats insane. I thought it didn't even give out strange coins. When we did it on Tuesday, I got the Helm of Saint 14, my buddy got a Warlock helm, and my other friend got like 12 ascendant energy. Seeing as I dismantled the exotic helm I got I would have much rather have preferred ascendant materials.
