1. Bounties are fine requiring both PvP and PvE
2. Bounties need to be changed to allow a method for completion in BOTH PvP and PvE.
The way they are currently is a mixture of PvE and PvP is required to complete most bounties. (One bounty, both types of gameplay required)
The suggested change is for there to be a path for each bounty for PvP and PvE. (One bounty, your choose PvP or PvE)
I have seen a lot of anger over this issue on here.
Putting it to a vote to see how everyone feels, not just a few people.
EDIT:After reading a lot of feedback I feel:
Almost every post against this has been either "It's not that bad," or "then you don't deserve it."
What I think is happening is people that have responded this way do not understand that many of us players object to PvP on principle.
There are other people that have some kind of rage monster inside of us that we do not want to let out. Some people come on the forums asking to Nerf the cause of their rage, other people would rather not even enter the domain that awakens the rage monsters.
Now we have one last group of people that want to feel special because they have something unique. Some of these people want genuinely to have something that others don't, but the cynicism in me, awakened by the cryptarch, believes that a vast majority of these players want an advantage in PvP.
I don't believe it is fair for PvE players, that will become the core of the community, should be punished for PvP players wanting to keep an advantage that was obtained from design flaws from Bungivision not understanding the community. Especially since when loot farming has been so frowned upon, mostly by PvP players.
Also factions need to accept both kinds of marks.
Players should be able to have fun and an opportunity to obtain all loot while not being handicapped by preferences, or pushed towards a particular game mode they do not enjoy.
I want to see all guardians excel in their endeavors, and not be hindered by an unfair loot system in both the crucible and strikes.
And most of all people: Have Fun!
/EDIT
Constructive criticism and intelligent debate are welcome, hatred and flaming are not.
I know I am asking a lot...

1 返信Hey I'm looking for some players to help me out with the last mission of a thorn bounty. In return I guess I can send you a friend request and if you need support for raid or whatever I can help out. I'm a pretty active player so there's that lol. Or if you wanna do it outta the kindness of your heart that's cool too :) Also for 360

4 通の返信I remember getting my first exotic bounty and I was beside myself with excitement, then I read the requirements for invective which I wanted and the air deflated. I suck at pvp. . . Bad! I almost deleted the bounty but I read up on strategy and tbh I got the thorn bounty and having to do void damaged boosted my spread I started melee and sniping camping a shorty mixed it all up with grenades as well I stuck with team pinched the enemy and didn't make crazy kamikaze plays I watched and solved my problem and I love my invective I didn't think I could do it, find your way to do pvp and it will all come together!
-
Doesn't matter now. Pocket Infinity was the only one worth getting but it's trash now (small clip and looooong charge). It took all 8 rounds to drop a "Major" in a Nightfall strike. Super Good Advice has too much recoil. Invective reloads too slow. Bad Juju is a pulse rifle (that's enough). I haven't got Thorn yet so I can't comment on that one. I don't want Fate of All Fools since I already have a Vision (it's better) and that perk just seems dumb.
-
2 通の返信Man I seriously just got a exotic bounty last night for the first time. And I got it from turning in a iron banner bounty. Of course I gotta go with the pocket infinity. (Even tho they are nerfing it :/ ) but now that I have to dismantle 10 rare or better fusion rifles. This game is not giving me a single. Blue fusion rifle. And when the gun smith has it I don't need it. But when I need it he don't have it haha.
-
1 返信I grudgingly voted for option 1. An exotic should require work and the bounties should reinforce the roles of all the features. There's no harm in busting your ass in the crucible once in a while, especially seeing how rare these optional bounties are in the first place. That said, I understand why people hate the crucible, hate going out of their comfort zone and putting up with bullshit. But what's the point if you don't want to dedicate sweat and tears to a rare weapon?
-
I voted for the second of three options, you should have a choice cause there are different strokes for different folks. But I dont see it changing, so I said Fu%k it and grinded in the PvE to get Invective (twice) and to get Thorn (which took the longest). The other bountys are to much PvE for my taste so I dont do them, but Im not going to cry to Bungie about changing what they made to be tough...cause in all honesty, they are exotic. But...you never know, they are doing alot of unnecessary changes to weapons that shouldnt have been affected for PvP gameplay. Many people can feel where Im coming from on this too.
-
2 通の返信I think exotic bounties are fine. They challenge and motivate players in an arena they may not be as good at as others.
-
IMHO I think its good that they challenge you to step out of your comfort zone. I decided to kill 2 birds with one stone and did 2 exotic bounties in the Iron Banner whilst that was running, and I've actually warmed up to PvP a little. Just my opinion of course.

4 通の返信GrimmDogg68により編集済み: 10/13/2014 9:31:03 PMI agree that factions should accept both kinds of marks. As for exotic bounties not all of the require pvp I have one for the fusion rifle pocket infinity and it doesn't require pvp to complete. Your proposal as it stands only caters to people who don't like pvp what about people who don't like pve. I think a better solution than ridding the pvp sections which I have seen suggested on the forums many times is to just make the pvp sections easier for people that focus on pvp and the pve sections easier for the people who prefer pvp.
-
I don't mind the PvP parts much anymore, since I kinda like it now. I do think that vendors should accept both marks and that there should be PvE options, like Thorn could still require 500 Void kills, but each PvE kill is only one point and dying takes away 5-10 points instead. Nothing too crazy.
-
9 通の返信There is no argument in my opinion. PvP is part of Destiny as much as PvE is. If you want to avoid PvP entirely, then expect not to get the best gear for your guy. You want a bad-ass hard-to-get weapon? Then suck it up and trudge through it. Who knows, you may feel more accomplished by having that weapon the harder it is to get. If you have to conquer your rage demons to make your goal, then maybe the game just helped you out in real life. =.=

2 通の返信I've raised much the same issue, and while I feel exotic weapon bounties should be difficult, they should allow Guardians to choose whether to pursue a PvP or PvE path to completion. I really do think Bungie needs to tweak these to allow players to pursue them in the way they enjoy most, and I do not enjoy crucible at all.

1 返信Zero the Remnantにより編集済み: 10/8/2014 10:50:22 AMIt goes without saying that each bounty needs a PVP version and a PVE version. Its a double edged sword. Some PVPers say: "Stop crying and get good." "STFU and man up & do it." Then they turn around and bitch bloody murder about how aweful everyone is in the Crucible & that folks aren't trying to win, that folks are just using 1 weapon & etc. They cry over how they keep losing because people are not working as a team, and how folks just go for 1 thing the entire time. Well if your bounty was all PVP (lets say you never did PVE.) and now it is forcing you to do The Vault of Glass and kill the Final Boss with a headshot. You would be pissed. You'd probably hang back...let your friends weaken him & then snipe the boss to stesl the final hit no? Same stuff in PVP. Some PVPers just want PVE players in the crucible because we are easy kills to them & as a result their K/D ratio skyrockets. As for the inner rage PVP exposes. I agree. It is a known fact that PVP brings out the worst in everyone. It creates hatred for your felloe man, promotes anger, & encourages disrespect. No game with a strong PVP community has nice players. I avoid PVP because I find myself loathing all around me. To me PVP players are scum. The Crucible is a Wretched Den of Scum & Villiany It is also an offense to LORE. No wonder thr Darkness won. The City has its few & far between almost extinct Guardians killing eachother rather than pushing back the Darkness. It is a waste of the Ghosts & Traveler's light. Back on topic... I find myself despising ally & foe alike. I only enter the crucible to do bounties because I have no choice. I grit my teeth & do it. I say -blam!- my team & just do my bounty & leave when it completes whether the game is finished or not. I use to stay to the end & fight for my team. I use to try to win for my team. But after some nasty messages sent to me because I was trying to do my bounty I said to hell with these scumbags. PVP players show me no respect so they will not get any from me. I follow the group and use them as meat shields & distractions. Get my kills and move on. I have no reason to do content I dislike so I will do the minimum & go. The above are unhealthy thoughts. But it is the PVP mindset. Hate everyone, think only for yourself, use others as a means to an end. Honestly Bungie would do good by keeping these play models divided. It would extinguish some of the hate around the community.

6 通の返信I didnt mind the effort to get bad Juju. The fully leveled weapon turned out to be the heartbreak. Thank goodness someone brought a pistol. The Thorn quest chain is the major issue for me. All that investment to find out I needed a group for the second half? Which I've yet to find because my group/tower/social skills are slack at best without the ingame communication issues adding to the problem. So now I run on 4 bounties till I can find a group. Shouldve added a better description to the original bounty, or a warning that you'd be carrying it for a looooong time if your friends all bought the Xbox one version and you bought the PS4.........sigh. In response to "handicapped by preferences", in your post. Being forced into a group dynamic for this weapon bounty was, and is very disappointing.. P.S. Taking a fully leveled Exotic weapon into the crucible.....I still got WTFPWND in the face by any level 4 or higher carrying an Auto rifle. That was awesome.....not. PVP is as broke as its ever been. I can melt face with an auto rifle or a shotgun, anything else is laughable, cept for a skilled fusion rifle handler perhaps. Enjoyed your post. Hails out.

I'm not trying to show off but this bounty is simple if executed and done properly, you cant just expect it to be a simple task and done move on, the first part there's a mission on the moon change it to lv 20 than 30+ of those thing's will spawn kill em all let the rest kill you re-spawn and re do it takes about 7 minutes to 10 minutes. Step 2 is probably the most simple but frustrating part especially for hunter's I'm a hunter my self and did this bounty my self in less than 1 day and a half, its been about 2 weeks using a ps3 i never used one until i started playing destiny. I f i can do it so can you, but for this id recommend going in control and going on the map chasm and camp the right spawn for the heavy ammunition and use the light machine gun with void damage once your out just use a void sniper and stay low and out of sight snipe people and you get point's easy. Max matches it took for me was about 12-15 matches. Third part is where most people will struggle and that's killing the xour wizard, first of all it takes 3 ships for him to spawn he will spawn on the 3rd ship once you get him just kill him. 3 thing to consider when doing this there's a rock with invincibility but wizards can get you use the spot. Second is bring a arc, void, and solar damage gun, use the solar against wizards they die quick use arc for hive knights with yellow health itl brake there sheild in 1 shot and kill them in the next shot to the head and void is for red health hive knights with shields they die quick with void damage. When attempting this grab a friend at what ever level and make him camp at the re-spawn point so if you die you can re spawn and continue the bounty. This is how i was able to complete in it less than a day and a half all by my self while i had a buddy at the last part as my re-spawn point guy and i just re-spawned and keep shooting. Make sure your at least lv 26+ recommended level is 27 but 26 will work.

But I would like a method of finishing these bounties in PvE. There's got to be a way to allow us PvE people to use these guns. * also, if you choose to abandon the exotic hand cannon bounty, will you be offered one of the other two quests? What are the other two quests? I feel duped into the quest after finding out I had to do PVP to finish it.

2 通の返信I agree, we should not be forced into something we don't want to do just because we want the good stuff. People who do nothing but PvP would obviously want to have an advantage in PvP, but everyone seems to forget about the PvE players who have similar wants, just in PvE. Iron Banner is obviously where the advantage could shine brightly in PvP, and PvE players could find them extremely helpful in things like raids and strikes, which are hard in their own way. We should have more choice in our bounties so people don't have to do things they don't like. (I'm looking at you, Thorn and Invective bounties)
-
3 通の返信Lore behind the thorn is that the weapon corrupts you and makes you evil that is why in one of the steps on the exotic bounty it requires you to put in purifying light into your thorn, to cleanse you. I have found this to be the truth. As I was working on this bounty with 2 other friends, it tested our friendship. First in pvp it made me a douche. I would camp and shotgun players, then run and hide for a bit, then repeat. I camped so much because of the positive KD requirement. During the Xyor part I began arguing at my friends as we yelled at each other on how to get Xyor to show himself, whose way was the right way, and cursed each other when they caused a wipe. But it is a fun story to tell. Too bad the gun sucks.

1 返信Oliverq_により編集済み: 10/8/2014 1:03:50 AMDoing the Thorn bounty now, very annoying. I'm a hunter so all my Special types are Solar or Arc, I'm stuck using a fusion, and to make it worse Assists don't count (other people keep carrying out the kill shot before I can so I only get assists), main weapon kills don't count, mellee and vehicle kills don't count..... Yet death by any means, means a -2 point.....

9 通の返信darthpimp001により編集済み: 10/7/2014 8:08:09 AMThere are certain elements of both arguments that I agree with, and those that I disagree with. Example, I currently have an exotic bounty, the first step required me to speak with an NPC (one of the vanguard trainers), the second step required me to do any strike without dying 5 times (I chose sepiks prime, and took 7 runs to complete), the step I am up to, and unlikely to ever be able to pass, is to get a KD of 25 in the crucible. Now I can and have cleared the rest of the games PVE content, It is challenging enough to be interesting, but not enough to be frustrating. PVP on the other hand, is something I have always, and will always hate with a passion. After two nights of putting aside my hatred to at least try to get this done, and at least 10 rounds of various types, I am barely scraping a KD of 1. Not due to a lack of practice, but due to a lack of anything approximating skill when it comes to PVP. I have never been good at PVP in any game, and it's unlikely to change anytime soon, so this objective is pretty much impossible for me, and I'm sure that there are plenty of people like me. Rather than completely removing the option of doing these quests in PVP maybe they could implement a preferred objective system, so that at each step of the chain you are given two options, a PVP or PVE objective and you can choose which you would like to do. Not that you choose the objective when accepting the bounty, but you are given something like, Get X kills in story missions on this planet, Or get X kills in The Crucible, as your objective.

3 通の返信Players who enjoy PVE have it much better in this game as it is. You can play a daily strike each day and get 2 ascendant materials (shards or energy). This will take you about a half hour each day. I enjoy PVP more and find PVE to be a grind. I could play crucible for 5 hours and still might not get 2 ascendant materials. It is not arguable that in order to level up (light, armor and weapons) in this game, you must play PVE. It only seems reasonable that in order to get exotic gear (the best stuff available) that you need to at least play some PVP because all PVP players must play some PVE just to level up rare and legendary gear... I honestly don't expect to change peoples minds as I long ago realized you can't fix stupid over the internet but I just needed to get this off my chest for my own sake. Thanks for reading.
