1. Bounties are fine requiring both PvP and PvE
2. Bounties need to be changed to allow a method for completion in BOTH PvP and PvE.
The way they are currently is a mixture of PvE and PvP is required to complete most bounties. (One bounty, both types of gameplay required)
The suggested change is for there to be a path for each bounty for PvP and PvE. (One bounty, your choose PvP or PvE)
I have seen a lot of anger over this issue on here.
Putting it to a vote to see how everyone feels, not just a few people.
EDIT:After reading a lot of feedback I feel:
Almost every post against this has been either "It's not that bad," or "then you don't deserve it."
What I think is happening is people that have responded this way do not understand that many of us players object to PvP on principle.
There are other people that have some kind of rage monster inside of us that we do not want to let out. Some people come on the forums asking to Nerf the cause of their rage, other people would rather not even enter the domain that awakens the rage monsters.
Now we have one last group of people that want to feel special because they have something unique. Some of these people want genuinely to have something that others don't, but the cynicism in me, awakened by the cryptarch, believes that a vast majority of these players want an advantage in PvP.
I don't believe it is fair for PvE players, that will become the core of the community, should be punished for PvP players wanting to keep an advantage that was obtained from design flaws from Bungivision not understanding the community. Especially since when loot farming has been so frowned upon, mostly by PvP players.
Also factions need to accept both kinds of marks.
Players should be able to have fun and an opportunity to obtain all loot while not being handicapped by preferences, or pushed towards a particular game mode they do not enjoy.
I want to see all guardians excel in their endeavors, and not be hindered by an unfair loot system in both the crucible and strikes.
And most of all people: Have Fun!
/EDIT
Constructive criticism and intelligent debate are welcome, hatred and flaming are not.
I know I am asking a lot...

2 通の返信As I've said on my thread and I've read from several other posts in here, you shouldn't force a game type on people who don't want to play it. The easiest way is to make an option. "Kill guardians to earn points" could be made so much better by "...or complete X strikes without dying". I understand there is some story to the weapons but I didn't buy the game for PvP. When I want that I'll go play a halo game. But seriously a bounty you get from pve shouldn't force you to PvP.
-
As someone new to fps pvp. The bounties bothered me. Until I decided to bite the bullet (pun intended). I've now completed 3, and have 2 more waiting, thorn and... Something else. I love the invectus shot gone and bad juju design, shame it's useless outside clearing low level mobs. I learned take it slow, set look to level 3, don't chase the radar etc. I'm not good. But I'm not terrible. The adrenaline pvp gives is remarkable. So I like the bounties as they are, because they force you out of your comfort zone. They bring challenge in a game that has very little. And the pvp does make you a better player (I don't mean pvp players are better players!) yup. I know, I'll regret that sentence.
-
I don't mind them "encouraging" players to explore how much variety the game has to offer, which seems to be their intent here as well as the limit on vg/crucible marks and bounties, etc. I don't have too much problems with the exotic pvp bounties. But I do have friends who struggle relentlessly with it. It would be nice if they introduced a pvp/pve version of future exotics where you're given the option which route you'd prefer to take in order to obtain the weapon. In the meantime, just use the forums to start free for all/skirmish "boosting" fireteams that help each other in accomplishing the task at hand. Once this becomes a "solution" they'll be more apt to address it, just like they've mentioned developing new ways of acquiring mats to keep people from farming because they don't intend for players to rely on that to progress.
-
I've never had an Exotic bounty, and the one I would want is apparently the one with the most painfully annoying PvP requirements (Thorn bounty) and I really have no problem with doing it. I generally enjoy PvP as well as PvE, so I have no problem with them.
-
I would rather see exotic item "quests" which could be a series of hard missions just for that item. Maybe only playable once per character. And make the exotics worth the effort. Not so grindy and repetitive as now.

exotic weapon bounties..............discard used to do em for energy, then I asked my self.... all that for 2 energies? nahh im good. Every exotic bounty is easy to get just take time. Otherwise their all pretty boring
-
TwoSizesTooSmallにより編集済み: 10/28/2014 4:39:23 PMSome people just aren't good at PvP and that's it. There is no way to reasonably rationalize that you SHOULD be able to get everything just by doing PvE portion of things. It's really that simple. It's all part of the same game so why not just treat PvP like a very tough portion of PvE? That's kinda what I do when I'm trying to get an exotic bounty done. Otherwise I'd be playing for the marks, the competition, and the fact that I just like playing PvP in general. Edit: I'm also not saying this a low blow to anyone, that's just how I see it. No insult intended.

1 返信I'm more of a crucible type of guy. And I can wait til the story gets unveiled some more. I would also like to see a PVP match get interrupted by outside forces and turn into a public event. I say that to say this... there should be a difference. A difference in the type of Weapons and Armor you get based off what type of player you are... like the vanguard and crucible you can buy once you gotta enough rep. But have exotic version you can be only be rewarded. Players need to have patience and let the story be told thru their actions... like any real story
-
It doesn't bother me either way. I don't do crucible unless I actually have an exotic bounty to do there, simply because I don't have time after 3 dailies and possible raids. I had no problem getting Thorn and I'm about a third of the way through the PvP part of Bad Juju. A PvE option would be nice but I wouldn't say it's necessary.
-
I enjoy doing exotic bounties I've completed Thorn, Bad juju, invective and I'm on pocket invinity. I like it the way it is and gives me stuff to work towards. I have a few friends who won't even bother with some bounties as they have a PvP part to them.
-
Dynoにより編集済み: 10/28/2014 12:38:24 AMI hit the bounty board as often as possible with my three characters keeps me real busy. So I see these exotic bounties popping up regularly. I did the bad juju bounty but never use it. Now though I mostly delete them when they pop up as I have no interest in these weapons and prefer to keep that slot it clogs up open. Mostly so I can more effectively get my vanguard bounties completed.

3 通の返信I've got 2 lvl 29 warlocks and a level 29 hunter. I do bounties everyday and have never come across an exotic weapon bounty. I hope soon there will be a way to get one soon.

1 返信I'd just be happy if I'd get exotic bounty choices other than bad juu, thorn, and invective. I already have all three and am working on a second invective. Judging by the masses saying they never get exotic bounties opportunities I know I got a "good problem" on my hands but I'd still would rather not get the same exotics over and over.

2 通の返信OneTwoManyFoolsにより編集済み: 10/27/2014 2:29:55 PMHmmm, well, I would be less mad if those exotic bounties that require PVP were given to me by Lord Fuzzy Shoulders, and were given a distinctive feel of being tied to the Crucible. For example, if that exotic weapon once belonged to a famed crucible champion? &/or had abilities specifically of use in the Crucible? I really don't see why Bungie didn't make a greater effort to flesh out the Crucible. It is supposedly a place to hone your skills as a Guardian but often comes off more as a Colosseum type thing that has no real value beyond another grind. I think Exotic bounties given by Shaxx that produced weapons (or at least with skill trees/perks weighted towards) useful for the crucible would be great way for those who love and thrive in the Crucible to have their efforts rewarded. I also believe that having more gear designed for the Crucible would be great and then maybe some of those abilities that were specific for crucible use would be 'turned off' for PVE play. Or conversely you could have seperate perk trees on weapons that are levelled by gaining experience in whichever game mode, so your special gun has a PVE tree and a PVP tree. But then, I am not a game designer, so I dont know how feasible any of that is to implement.

psdissonanceにより編集済み: 10/27/2014 6:20:08 PMProbably the most rewarding (and sometimes most troubling) process is to go about earning a 'thing'. Something you can equip and say that you went through the steps to creating it. I've been lucky enough to randomly acquire the bounties for Thorn (twice now), Bad Juju, and Invective. Each involved one step that incorporated the Crucible with different requirements. While I didn't feel myself being held back it's understandable that others wouldn't want to feel obligated to take part in, what should otherwise very much be, an optional part of the game. For me the Crucible is a casual time-sink where I can run around and kill/be killed. Others take it more seriously... Having two branching paths would allow both parties to achieve the same goals while ensuring both preferences are catered to. I'm not sure why it wasn't already implemented, perhaps they underestimated the number of PvE driven individuals looking to enjoy the game. tl;dr - both a PvE and a PvP option for exotic bounties would be preferable. Edit: Perhaps Bungie could make an effort (or perhaps they don't have time to explain why they don't have time to make an effort) to make completely separate exotic bounties. Bounties and exotic weapons completely driven by and geared towards the two different spheres.

11 通の返信After giving this some thought, I don't think the problem is the PvP part of the bounty...but the way that they are structured. To get the Bad Juju bounty done, you just have to get a certain number of Guardian kills...and once you get them...no matter how LONG it takes you to get them....you're done. So its like the PvE part of the bounties. You are not PUNISHED for "failure" or "not being good" at the PvE part. It just takes you longer to fulfill the bounty. Hell, I got most of the Nightfall kills to get Pocket Infinity, just grinding away at it solo. If you keep at it long enough...you'll get it. But with the Invective, and Thorn bounties you are forced to be GOOD at The Crucible because you are punished by taking points away when you die. So not only can completing the bounty be made impossible if you're not very good at PvP...but it can also be made that way if you don't have an optimized internet connection (low latency) or if you keep running into clans playing as a team. I had to abandon the Invective bounty TWICE, just simply because getting the required K/D spread would have simply taken more time in the Crucible than I was willing to dedicate to simply getting a shotgun. While I think PvE players are willing to let PvP players have their Iron Banner gear without complaint, I think they resent having the Exotic Weapons Bounties demand a level of skill in PvP play be shown by PvE players, that is not being required of PvP playres. Even in the bounties that require to complete strikes without dying, you can either run the Sepiks Prime strike (which is easy if you're level 20 +) or you can go in with a FT (if its a Heroic or Nightfall) and reduce the difficulty. But you can't "reduce the difficulty" in PvP, unless you can gaterh up 6 people who are willing to basically support you in finishing that bounty.

1 返信i can understand people not wanting to pvp or pve if it's not their preferred play style. on the other hand, exotic bounties should push you to do something outside the norm. as long as not every exotic requires both pvp and pve work I'm fine with one or two forcing players to exert themselves in an unfamiliar mode. alternatively, they could also make multiple paths for some exotics, some with pvp and some without. maybe, if you complete the pvp route your exotic ends up dealing void damage and completing pve route creates an exotic that does solar or some other tradeoff. either way, I'm hoping they'll flesh out the bounties a little more. it'd be cool if there was a small map section that was only accessible when completing a specific exotic bounty. the last portion of Thorn's bounty is a baby step in the right direction. I'd like to see more of that and less 'complete 25 strikes' or 'kill 100 titans'.
-
The only reason thorn bounty really rage induces is the losing points for death component. As someone who HATES pvp with a passion and openly sucks at it + slow connection this bounty is never going to happen for me. I know this, I gave up on it for that reason. Honestly the ONLY thing that needs changing if Bungie wants to force those of us who detest pvp into putting up with it it just remove the death loss. Then I'd sit there and suffer, cause at least I could make progress, and not have my score wiped out by quitters, lag, or the other team being CoD kids who pvp all day spamming shotguns at me.

8 通の返信Screw PvP completely! I've tried it and it's a horrible experience. Makes me not want to play the game at all. Something's not right about it. Look at the community concerning PvP. Half are enjoying it while the other half despise it. That's not balanced, half the connections are running better than the other half. What's fun about shooting a guy 12 times so he can panic spray and kill me in 3 bullets? I really would like to play it often, and when I do play I go in knowing I'm might lose, but hopefully learn as well. There's no learning, it's just dying the same BS way over and over. I shoot them, stab them, grenade them, but they just don't die, but I get killed from a mere fraction of what I just did... I'm not crying foul or that the game or gamer cheated me, but something's just not right... I'm probably going to just delete these stupid bounties. Trying to play Crucible ruins the entire Destiny experience for me, which I really don't like because I've been such a die hard fanboy. Every time I play, I make progress on the Void damage, then get supered from behind by a Titan, then shot by a guy crouching around a corner with a shotgun 50' foot from my respawn, losing all my progress... Play 3 good matches, get +5 on my spread, then play a match where 2 quit out and I get killed 5 times in less than a minute by a 4 man team before I can even get to the other 3 and have a losing chance at 2 to 3 odds. Not going to get better the next minute. Spawn traps, getting killed before I can take 2 steps, or make a quarter turn. Nothing I have control over at all I'd like to finish these bounties but after 2-3 matches of Crucible, I'm left with a very sour feeling and would rather stare at a wall then play anymore Destiny...

What I hate is when you finally accomplish it and realize the weapon you got is utter garbage and the legendary or even rare weapon you were using before is better....Thorn is a huge example of this, talk about under powered my red hand IX is waaaay better...red death is another example of busting your ass hard to get a shit weapon, if you bust your ass for these weapons at least make them worthwhile
