Should Xur be removed?
I haven't had any complaints about this game so far but one thing I believe is Xur maybe should be removed for the fact he harms the value of the Exotics.

1 返信Zur was put in the tower as a counterbalance to the RNG system in the rest of the game. It's entirely possible for some poor schmuck to get only coins and upgrade materials for over 10 legendary engrams. Zur gives those guys a chance to be on the same level as those with outstanding RNG luck.

Raise the prices. Armor 20 SC's, Weapons 30 SC's. Boom, people will be more careful with their purchases, and gauge whether they want to buy something now, or save and wait for another shot at something else. Who knows, they may just be warming us up with gear, idk.

People would still be getting exotics, but it would be randomized and preserve some of the magic of exotic items. Either that or remove Xur completely, but I don't think that's necessary. I don't mind when other players have the same items that I have, but when everyone has to same item (Suros Regime for example) then the item is no longer exotic. It's rarity is completely negated. Bungie wanted us to earn our gear and wanted other players to see someone with a cool weapon or armor and wonder where they got it. When you see everyone with Suros Regime, there's no wonder. Oh I got it from Xur's shop. 23 strange coins. Yea I know. Everyone knows. The wonder is gone.

I think what they should have done is made him offer an engram that decodes into a random exotic weapon and one that decodes into a random exotic armour (for your class). That way you won't have people complaining that the current exotic of the week is being used everywhere (I've seen a lot of posts and threads complaining about the Suros Regime being everywhere). You still get exotics, and Xur gets more "personality" or whatever bullshit Bungie used to justify the Cryptarch being so lame.

I disagree, however I think they should change the exotics he sells to content exclusive to him. Like there's exotics you can't get from him and ones you can only get from him. I personally love seeing what the mystery man has to offer.

Most of the Legendaries I have I purchased from the Vanguards or earned in the Queens bounty. Only 2 armor pieces have I been lucky enough to earn through hours of gameplay. It's nice to go to someone who can help you earn exotics through the price of currency. I had all rare armor and then finally bought an exotic (before I had any Legendaries) and I actually stood a chance against the higher leveled players. Now I'm set because of the extra Legendaries. So I believe it's a fair system. I think people are just afraid of looking the same, rather than "rareness" or "fairness" of Exotics.

3 通の返信I think that they should cost at least 30 coins each and 80 for a weapon if anything. Or make them all engrams. Personally I refused to purchase any weapons from him because I worked hard to get my Bad Juju and using it feels good because I worked to get it. The coin RNG sucks, I've gotten about 35 coins total but my buddies have only gotten 1-2 coins for the same amount of gameplay. They just get -blam!-ed because of the RNG

The only place these exotics really matter is in the crucible and strike missions, raids, etc. So you don't like getting killed by someone with an exotic, fine. You love when an exotic saves your butt from a strong enemy. Let the people have their exotics, there's no harm in it. Making it harder now would only be silly. Only the people playing since the 9th would have an advantage over everyone else new.

2 通の返信Um no... Just like I've said with farming, there is no economy in this game, so the value of you exotic is going to be the same thing of a small amount of glimmer and a few materials. So there is no true value to it.

4 通の返信I have been playing this game nonstop since the release and I have not received one exotic from a drop. My only exotic piece was a chest I bought from xur. People like myself need xur.
