Period. I farmed my way up to level 25. I immediately complete PVE bounties to farm Vanguard rep. I then complete the heroic quest. Then I complete the highest level strikes that I can to farm Vanguard tokens so I can buy their gear. All farming. Along the way, I picked up The Swarm and a Legendary fusion rifle, one random drop, one random completion award. I consistently perform mid to high among the three of us so I'm average/better than average once I get into a good groove. I'm doing the bounty for bad Juju right now and I'm not doing the the 25 Strikes on a low level because I like playing at or above my level. My take on it is this: I got my gear my way, how others choose to do the same does not affect me in the slightest. BTW, if anyone here shares my mindset, enjoys doing strikes, and plays on PS4, feel free to friend me and invite me to your fire team sometime. I've yet to complete a nightfall event. Good times had by all.

Whiny little bitches. I have participated in quite a few complaints myself, but i never pulled that "it's ruining the game" bullshit.

Sims more like others were just paying how they wanted to and you are too worried about what others are doing instead of just playing your game. Farming and getting all legendary gear takes a lot more time than you think and most aren't going to do it, just be proud you know you earned your own gear. Also, the game didn't actually cost $500 million to make, that's just how much Activision invested in it. I think the actual cost was more like $130 million (still a lot) and the rest would game gone to marketing and other expenses.

If anyone ever brags to you about how they got legendary stuff farming, just remember, that's all they'll ever know and they will never become more than what you can be.

I agree. Its one thing to farm rep. But another to farm gear in the lowest possible area. What's the point of raiding or anything for that matter if you're getting you're legendaries or exotics from Lvl 5s? At least material and faction rep farming is made to be that way. Long n tedious. Gear should be earned by overcoming challenges. Doing something few others can. Doing top end stuff. If every other mmorpg would let you farm legendary gear from lvl 2 zones those games wouldn't exist long

see guys instead of yelling at eachother over this as a whole we should standup to bungie and ask for change because u shouldnt have to cave farm in this game... wat u should have to do beat bosses and get better by completing missions bountys pvp ect.. im really soory coming out a damning ppl who farm... after seeing u guys post and reading wat some educated gamers wrote made me think its not the people fault the loot system needs change.... i want to thank everyone who was kind and respectfull to me ....

You're all bad and you should feel bad. The payoff for all the hours these people spend farming doesn't even compare to the hours they could spend farming...Idk... Reputation..marks..and upgrade material. Not one piece of gear I actually use came from these "fast and easy" farming methods (which I have admitidly used.. quite a bit). The fact is you guys got all worked up because you thought other players were getting one up on you by "expoiting the game" because somebody else said so.. Yes it was easy.. it was also a bad time investment overall. That's just my 2 cents.. let your hate flow!

1. Farming has been nerfed for like a week now. 2. Farming has no effect on you whatsoever. 3. Very rarely does (did) farming ever give you anything of value. Most if not all drops were greens/blues that were useless to the recipient. 4. There is no in game economy, therefore: see #2.

The only thing killing destiny is the worthless piles of trash like you who bitch and moan about pointless things to the point of that Bungie does what you want just to shut you up. I did a poll on this exact thing, 97% of the destiny community disagrees with you and thinks farming does nothing to hurt the game. There is no in-game economy, the chances of getting gear are still completely random, and it hurts nobody. Do everybody a favor and snap your disk so the rest of us can actually give useful feedback and suggestions to Bungie instead of continuing to destroy what can be an amazing game.

This is an MMORPGFPS. When you go to mars and search for Relic Iron to upgrade your stuff, that is farming. When you go to Venus to get the Blooms to upgrade your stuff, that is farming. When you play crucible over and over again to get Marks, that's farming. You can't play games like this and not farm. I don't understand why farming has developed such a bad rep. Its a critical part of these kind of games.
