First of I'd like to say that I thoroughly enjoy the game, even though it has its fair share of flaws at the moment.
I was pleased to see Bugnie discuss the nerfing of the shotgun and assault rifles in an upcoming patch, however I noticed the Bladedancer super was not even mentioned. This ability overpowers literally every other super there is by a large margin.
Unless you don't possess opposable thumbs or have some sort of handicap you should get at least 3 kills with this super, averaging about 4.
Let's talk about the other supers first. All the other supers can be killed as any other after they used it.
A warlock performing Nova Bomb is essentially invincible for maybe a second but he can be killed right after, same with the titan's Fist Of Havoc. The hunter's Golden Gun and the warlock Radiance can be damaged as they normally would while they're using it.
However the Bladedancer takes this to a whole other level. You are almost invincible throughout the entire use of this super.
It survives rocket launchers as well as point blank shotguns. You can kill it with at least 3-4 people shooting it simultaneously but often the Bladedancer manages to kill all players in that time. You can literally activate this super in a fight you're about to lose and you will win.
The only way you will die is if someone else uses their own super.
Combine the fact you have extremely fast movement, very long range melee lunges and being almost invincible during the entire time and you have an extremely overpowered ability.
It is blatantly obvious how unbalanced this super is and I'm terribly disappointed that it was not even mentioned in the upcoming nerf update.
I have bolded some lines for the "special" people here.

5 通の返信Neckrosisにより編集済み: 10/19/2014 12:33:41 AMI only play as a titan so I can't really speak to how one super is op'ed compared to another. But through experience I've shot bladedancers in the face at point blank with a shotgun....then I died. Bladedancer then continued his rampage killing half of my team and skull-blam!-ing the still warm corpses. Meanwhile if I don't time my super and place it in the exact right spot, I either miss everyone or waste it on a wall I wasn't aiming at....then I die and get skull-blam!-ed shortly after. So yeah, titans are pretty much -blam!- victims. Edit: not to mention I've died numerous times while activating my super. That's supposed to be fun, right?

3 通の返信Just nerf the non-stop dashing b/s, that is the only OP thing about it, it needs to have a short CD. Should take skill to wield that super not spamming a button over and over...

3 通の返信First of all bladedancer super is NOT invincible. Ive been killed by snipers, fusion rifles, autos, cannons, and shotguns.. And saying that the rocket launcher not killing the bladedancer is just bs. I have killed a bladedancer before with uncommon weapons in the past so dont call it "invincible" second i can agree with the arc blade lunge is op but the rest is not op

2 通の返信I have to agree, maybe shorten the time. And no, the bladedancer doesn't get "a little" more resistance, its a substantial amount imo. I do like the special but it does seem to seem to last a bit too long

Arc blade OP? I wish. I play blade dancer all the time. And yes sometimes I get some awesome strikes. But if I use it wrong, dudes are taking me out like anything else. You also forget that hunters have the lightest armor of all 3 classes. 2 or 3 well place shots and they're dead or running for cover.

14 通の返信
The hunter's Golden Gun and the warlock Radiance can be damaged as they normally would while they're using it.
Wrong on both counts. All supers get damage reduction during execution, these are no exception. It's not as much DR as Bladedancers get, because neither of those supers force the user into melee. You are also exaggerating the DR of Arcblade. It's quite possible to kill a user, and it does not guarantee survival when the user is about to die. If Hungering Blade is equipped and the Arcblade user gets a quick kill, then they should survive (especially if they can continue to kill). If they just pop it and hope for the best, they die and lose super. (Bear in mind, Striker and Defender DO NOT lose super if they pop it and die before its animation completes.) If you're going to harsh on Bladedancer super, how about Gunslinger? Dancer can kill 3 or more people if they're all grouped up in a scrum. Slinger can kill 3 people (4 with Achylophage) if the Slinger can SEE THEM. Oh, and then there are Strikers running around with 1HK Shoulder Charge which can trigger Transfusion if it's equipped, Defenders running around with a super that basically guarantees either a Control point or Relic capture OR requires a blown super to drive them out, Voidwalkers running around with an infinite-ammo Void rocket launcher that can home or create 3 blasts, Sunsingers running around with self-rez and two stackable forms of DR, plus a 1HK melee in Radiance... what did I miss?

As blade dancer user let me tell you if you set it off in a fire fight you're -blam!-ing dead and you're super is gone. And its easily shut down by s warlock n titan as I have been many times, yes to be fair I'm shit at PvP but the bkadedancer may get me 4 kills if I'm am very very lucky Paired that to my shockingly bad gun game and I may get a 8 kill 12 death run in a game ... Yes I'm that bad ... So shut up bitching

Velexiaにより編集済み: 10/21/2014 8:18:54 PMAlmost invincible? I wish, and so do the three blade dancers I shut down this morning before they even got to me. One I sniped in the face and then finished with a melee as he got to me. One I mercilessly gunned down with a machine gun, another I shot 4 times with a scout rifle, then stuck him, and leapt into the air. At least three times this morning while bladedancing myself I was shut down after one kill, and in two cases I was killed without getting a single kill. It's usually by a Titan using Fist of Havoc. The Supers are balanced, and you'd be screwing over the least powerful class in the game by getting your suggested nerf into the game. I love this quote:
A warlock performing Nova Bomb is essentially invincible for maybe a second but he can be killed right after, same with the titan's Fist Of Havoc.
After everything near them is now dead, and their super is over. -Shakes head- Arc Blade is simply situationally best for connecting the dots. Titans can take control points like no other, and Warlocks are unpredictable as hell. Each super counters two other supers, and is in turn countered by 2 others. Bladedancer's Arc Blade counters Defender and Sunsinger, but is countered by Striker and Voidwalker, and arguably Golden Gun and Arc Blade counter each other. So, as the wise words go, quit crying and get good. Edit: Oh and, a direct hit from a rocket launcher instantly kills an Arc Blader, get your facts straight.
You can literally activate this super in a fight you're about to lose and you will win.
Any Bladedancer who does this is dead meat, you're thinking of Strikers and Voidwalkers. (And Defenders and Sunsingers to some degree)

2 通の返信First when the blade dancer is activated this "shield" you people think we have does not exist. We do not gain an extra blue shield like the warlock it does however seem like when the ability is activated we are able to absorb a little more damage than usual but not turn "invincible" like you all proclaim we do. I have beaten many other hunters from medium range with an auto rifle but the key is to NOT MISS also we do not regain health, if we are in a firefight and I'm about to die and I use the blade dancer super I don't get full health back I remain with nearly any health and it would have just been a waste of a super. I have been one shotted from shotguns and wasted with a rocket there's nothing invincible about it and if I Might add I would say that 90% of my deaths after using the blade dancer are always from shotguns. And finally to even use this super effectively you must be in close range with the enemy which almost makes this super suicide especially if your running at a group. If a group of three or four guys are shooting at a blade dancer as he's running at you and can't bring him down then they allude be terrible shots because it honestly doesn't take a whole lot to bring them down.

Wrong. Activating this at a losing battle just wastes the super. I'm not proficient with my bladedancer, but in decent, so I can get killed by experienced players that know how to combat my super. One shotgun can kill me, as well as a rocket. If people spread out, then I'm -blam!-ed. The bladedancer isn't overpowered, I say the warlock is. None of the hunter's grenades have a one hit kill except if you stick it to an enemy. Warlocks have a grenade that seeks out and can kill me in one throw compared to my skip grenades that only take out the shield. Where is the fairness in that? Stop complaining and play as a hunter to see how hard it is to use the super and where the weakness for each class is.

6 通の返信I completely agree!!!! People try to use sunsinger as a comparison but they aren't even close!! Maybe if if the sunsinger had extreme agility it would even out. They have too many things working for them. They are no where near as vulnerable as everyone else. "They have be in close quarters" so do over half the other supers. The only thing that makes them less effective is PvE. That's the only time I see there arguement valid.
