Are you someone that achieved greatness by shooting into a cave for hours? Or, are you someone that achieved greatness by conquering the challenges created for us to conquer?
Become Legend. Achieve greatness.

1 返信the fact other people play how they want and that is unacceptable to you since it's different is astounding.

1 返信I haven't done the raid yet, only lvl 25, and having trouble finding a group, so I'm working on gearing up. So I'm trying to capitalize as much as I can on guaranteed drops while playing the game and attempting to get just that little bit better. I did my bounties every day for the rep, maxed my vanguard marks, maxed my crucible marks, then at the end of last night I thought to myself, "self, let's go check out that loot cave, maybe I'll get a little late-night RNG luck going" It's okay. It's fun for the first little bit, and when the fallen and hive converge on each other it gets pretty frantic, which is good too. I think most people go this route tho, and only farm in their destiny "downtime" TL;DR: farming ain't for everybody. And you shouldn't paint everyone with the same brush for trying it out, especially out of curiosity.

4 通の返信People who stare at a hole in the ground for hours are the first ones to bitch that there's nothing to do in destiny.

1 返信I did, An exotic hand cannon from crucible for being top of my game. Gear bought with hours worth of marks, and weapons earned by reaching high rank.

Achieve greatness. For the record, I've gained more from cave farming than I have from Strikes and Raids, and yes I do both.

2 通の返信Well since you can grind in the crucible for hours and get nothing, why not grind at a cave and get EVERYTHING

2 通の返信Its about 50/50 for me.. I bought a few pieces of legendary from the vanguards, bought the exotic chest from xur, and got one of my exotic guns from a bounty, and the other from an engram from a quest.. Hmm.. Upon further reflection, I do farm the cave, but never really got anything world shattering from it.. But I don't care if other people do.. :)

12 通の返信I achieved greatness by having the intelligence to wait for the game to come out before buying, and then making the decision not to buy. I saved $65 by doing so and within a week none of my friends were even playing this game. I used the money to buy better games. Greatness achieved.

3 通の返信Dear Sir/Madam/Genderless Forum Entity: Without voicing an opinion regarding the subject of your post, we feel the need to point out a rhetorical failure. Your closing urges people to achieve greatness, ostensibly by forsaking what you view as the easy path of farming. However, in your opening paragraph, you indicate that both parties, those farming and those refraining, achieve greatness. Given that both paths 'achieved greatness,' imploring them to do so does not provide the psychological incentive to select a particular path. Thank you and good day.

1 返信I'd never begrudge anyone the right to play a game they bought, any way they like. That being said, this kind of thing isn't for me. It's like assembly line work...some people thrive on the repetitive nature of it, some people, it makes them crazy.

2 通の返信Im not lame enough to think my worth as a human being revolves around a game wtf .... I also love how your comment sounds like a say no to drugs campaign. and I'm facetious the more someone told me not to do something just makes me wanna do it so much more

1 返信Considering there is no real challenge, I'd have to disagree. The bosses are all the same, story/strike makes no difference, nor does level. Spending ungodly amounts of time simply shooting at bullet sponges is not a challenge, it's just ridiculously tedious, and boring. The devs saw no reason to include any type of compelling/interesting or fun mechanics into any of the fights...it's all run and gun. No fight is any different than any other. Only how long it takes is different. If this is what you consider a challenge worthy of "greatness", fair enough, I can't sway your opinion. But I have actually had more fun, with more people, just hanging out around the cave. Public events, social interaction, patrols and fun gunplay... All At the cave, and with FAR GREATER rewards for my time, than any strike so far. It's a problem with the game... Not the players. If the other parts of the game were as rewarding, then people would be doing that. As it stands, people are finding it to be a better use of their game time, than what the devs thought would be. Again, it's a problem with the game. And the devs ARE aware. Perhaps worry less about what others are doing, and continue doing what you enjoy...
