A lot of people think that there should be a penalty for quitting crucible matches or strike missions. I agree and suggest that as a penalty for leaving games people should lose vanguard/crucible marks. Maybe anywhere from 2-5 marks would be better than nothing and would hopefully prevent people from quitting too often.

Agree@ leaving strike missions. I think there should be a ship screen to let us leave strike playlists to keep it from happening, but it sucks when someone leaves in the middle. With teams of three, one out is near instawipe. I don't agree @ marks being taken. A more logical would be minus reputation and/or a debuff. 5 minutes 75% damage debuff. There should be limiters though. If you're alone or one of two, no debuff for leaving. Crucible is meh. I don't think there should be any penalty, especially given the quick timing for new players to join

That would be great EXCEPT under the following conditions: The Game Booted you out because the networking sucks One or both of the Players on your three person team already bailed (or were disconnected by the game). I tried with another player to kill the Fallen Priest after our third person left. We almost had him the first time but after two times we stopped, looked at each other, shook our heads, no and left. --- On a rare good note; one time facing the big eyeball thing, when both of my compatriots left, I continued through the level solo until I got to the final boss. Lo and Behold two NEW players came in at that point in the Strike and joined me already in action!!! I have to believe that the game is putting strike teams together even mid strike provided they are at the same point in the strike. That is a very good thing.

And it's only two of us. But the game pulls me out all the time.

Penalty like what? The crucible isn't anything serious. If there was a competitive playlist of the crucible then I can see that. You should be able to leave if you so wish without a penalty. You don't know what reasons people have for leaving games, you're only using your assumptions.

Like gears of war. ( I think it was gears) First quit disconnection of the day is a warning Second is small penalty ( something minior but annoying, lower attack for next game or reduced rewards or something. With a warning message explaining the next step. The third time in 24 hours, bar the person from multiplayer matchmaking for a small time limit 15min or so. Repeat but extend the time. Also group repeat offenders together so people who play properly get partnered with similar people. Also at the end of a the match give a reward for people who don't quit, nothing exceptional just an extra vangaurd mark or a little extra rep.

Yet people having issues with destiny servers would get penalized as well? Or lets say they have a bad connection, you want to penalize that too? It sounds ridiculous.

Haven't played cru. But I did a level 20strike mission at17 with 2other 17s. Half way through one of them dropped out. So after a couple of attempts finally a member of my usual fire team level 20 dropped in. We got to the boss only for the other 17 to drop out it took 45 minutes to beat. Fun but frustrating. While I would say yes. I have no idea why they dropped out. Emergency? Bathroom? Bad connection? Rage quit? How could I know? Three out of those shouldn't be punished.
