[edit2]
Guys seriously. I posted this first week the game came out. This thread is full of a variety of different strategies as well as people trolling about how awesome they are and there are STILL people replying to this several times a week. If you can completely it easy, that is fine (no one likes a braggart), the game has been out long enough that anyone should have a way to do it now that works for them.
I have had to turn off my Companion App notifications because this thread just won't die...after like 4 months!!
[edit]
After having to completely rethink my strategy and play-style for the crucible - filling out my titan's void subclass, learning how to shoot a fusion rifle and predict player movement, not going on the offensive, and finding the best place on each map to camp (ideally near heavy ammo) and just shoot those that come near - I no longer feel this is impossible as I have managed to get past 300/500. You still have these losing streaks where you can simply not touch other players, but it does go up....slowly. For anyone that claims this is easy, please elaborate how you did so, ie game mode, guns, class, strategy. Its one thing to claim its easy, but it is also good to share your strategy for those who don't do much of the pvp.

I was so exited to get an exotic weapon bounty the other day, which has so far required me to beat the Moon raid boss and kill 500 hive on the moon, however the second bounty you have to do for this is impossible. It requires 500 points worth of kills using void damage in the crucible, which is okay given each kill is worth 5 but every time you die you lose 2 points. So unless you are an insanely good player that can somehow compete with auto rifles and headshot experts you cant complete it. I spent hours trying to do it and managed to get up to about 50 points (mainly due to being matched up with players more around my skill level) and then just lose them all again over the course of 2 matches where the other players were either significantly better than me or simply had faster guns. There should be a mode where you can only use special and heavy weapons as these can simply not compete with primary weapons in terms of speed, or an alternate non-crucible method of completing the bounty.

Actually it's a pain I'm still doing that part of the bounty but i took a break to try and get a different void weapon I'm rocking the shotgun not and in a 3 matches of rumble and 2 matches of control I got to 200 points in no time and rumble is a bit Easyer to move around in and keep your points up

This won't be popular advice but the reality is the way the lobby system works good players tend to end up together. Reason being a couple of good players dominate a lobby and stay in it just riding it game after game. The players getting murked tend to leave for orbit after a game where they get dirked, and get replaced often by players that feel comfortable in that environment as they'll stay. If you find yourself in a lobby getting murked go to orbit and try another lobby. Personally I play the crucible to improve so the better the opposition the better but if you're literally grinding it for a shitty handcanon that you won't use again once you get it and will ultimately break down for ascendant energy when you land a good one - then preserving your ktd is all that matters. As a result finding a lobby with the weakest players is your only tactic.

I'm in the same situation right now. I hate having to be force to use close quarter guns. Everyone assume you got a primary gun with void damage.. Sure would be easy to complet that bounty with positive ratio if my main weapon had void damage . Takes time and patience... Beurk

UberLord Parkerにより編集済み: 11/4/2014 2:43:34 PMFor Titan: •Defender Class w/magnetic (Void) grenade •Armamentarium (for TWO grenades) •Fusion Rifle (Void)... preferably Wizard77 (best range)... I used a green one that I dismantled afterward... the Gunsmith sells Blue/Rare Fusion Rifles on occasion (check the Companion App when he refreshes). •any LMG with Void damage •Atheon's Epilogue (Raid AR w/Void damage) would help, but it isn't necessary. I'm by NO MEANS a GREAT PvPer... It took a few games adjusting to the Defender style, but I managed it easy enough. Hang in there

I'm not a great PVP player by any measure however I learnt the hard way (working up to a few hundred points only to loose them all again after a series of poor matches). The first thing I learnt for this bounty was my play style in PVP had to change, my preference for PVP was control, sticking in a group and playing defensively was they key, defending control points rather than obtaining new ones, preferably the control point closest to the heavy ammo spawn My second lesson was its not about the round win.... (don't hate on me...) Third lesson was weapon types, void rocket launchers did the trick. My final lesson is set yourself lines in the sand, a score you don't want to drop below, if you start a loosing streak and drop to your line my advise would be take a break, once you start to get frustrated its possible to make poor decisions and loose lots of points in a short space of time. Come back later and claim those kills when your in a better frame of mind.

Tkmoore92により編集済み: 11/4/2014 8:20:08 PMAs a titan, it's a pretty crappy situation. I pretty much used Atheon's Epilogue (horrible in pvp), a void sniper (epitaph?), and a void rocket launcher. It took a good couple hours because I don't typically use sniper rifles, rocket launchers, or the Epilogue. Some good advice though: what does help as a titan is the void class fists. I went into a bubble with armor of light and the bonus of blessing of light... just punched everybody out when they came in with shot guns. If your melee is refilled, you get void kills with it. *edit* I completed the crucible part of the bounty in control. While everybody went for the capture, I picked them off with snipers. This only helps temporarily; people tend to learn quick where you are and take you out.

I've been doing control, with a void fusion rifle. I like Control as this way people, generally, stick around certain points of the map. Trying to stick close to teammates helps too, that way if you get spotted their attention is split, as well as having help killing them first. Being close to teammates does raise the chances someone else will get the kill, but that's better than dieing.

Dude of Valorにより編集済み: 11/4/2014 4:58:21 PMI used my Hunter. Played Rumble and used Void Shotgun or Void Fusion Rifle and when I could Void Rocket Launcher. I found it easiest on this game type, and was towards to end getting 10-15 kills per match. That really racked up the points, took me quite a few hours but never felt impossible once you hit past the 100 mark. Remember you just need to kill your opponent. Even if you die that is +3 points. But when you start surviving the encounter, then you are doing very well. Also don't hesitate to kill with non void weapons, it means you stay alive. Lastly playing as a Void Titan or Warlock will make things easier, and a Void primary will make it extremely easy! The hardest part for me came after the PvP. Good luck.

Shadomastaにより編集済み: 11/4/2014 5:37:54 PMDefender, sticky grenade, void sniper, void Rocket (Seeker is a bonus). Combined arms. Keep your distance. You'll have plenty of killing space and vehicles are easy* picking.
*based on my experience and the experience of the others I've shared my strategies with. Individual results may vary.
1 返信Defender Titan: rare void shotgun or Praeydiths Revenge sniper, Counter Measure void machine gun, armamentarium torso to throw double sticky grenades It took me a couple of hours total match play time. I'm not that good at PvP, but the load out worked. I too would rush the heavy ammo when the match called "in bound" and them aggressively defended (bubbled) the heavy ammo spawn point to almost guarantee it's capture. 100 round accurate void machine gun = lots of points, and enough rounds to last almost all the way to the next heavy ammo drop. I've done that a couple of times (run my machine gun long enough to pick up the next drop). I don't run rocket launchers. I often grief myself on poorly timed or panicked fires that hit walls and corners... Or my own stupid defender bubble. Anyway, that's about it. I preferred to run 6vs6 death match, but control allows you be a bit more defensive and just guard a fixed position (camping by today's gamer).

I didn't have much difficulty on the PVP side. Found a void shotty and a void rocket launcher and got to work. Just played lots of rumble. The PVE aspect was more difficult in my opinion. Had to recruit two friends to help. All in all, I rather enjoyed this exotic bounty. Honestly, the only thing I didn't really like in this bounty was thorn. Maybe it's better when fully leveled, but so far the cannon feels rather underwhelming compared to what it took to get it.

14 通の返信LikeWhenYouDieにより編集済み: 11/4/2014 2:08:14 PMWhen I get to the point of having to kill Xyor, does that Strike support matchmaking? Really don't want to have to try doing it solo... And do you have to kill Xyor, and complete to strike? Basically, I he dies, but then we all die before moving on, does it still count?

Wait... So you spent hours playing crucible and only got 50 points??? It took me around 10 games control/clash using a rare void sniper and a legendary void rocket launcher. If you have Atheon's epilogue or a void machine gun it should take even less.. If you're having that many issues getting you should consider just sticking with pve.. The thorn is shit anyway.
