Dear Bungie: Where's My Unique, Legendary Loot?!
Every single time I go through the PVE missions, I'd raise the level difficulty. And every time I was disappointed that I didn't see any awesome loot for soloing my ass off after waves and waves of enemies coming at me. The 7+ waves of enemies I went through on Venus's first story mission comes to mind.
Now I'm level 22, finally started Mars and with how insane it was, I got someone to join me. He gives up half way through and I keep going. It's absolutely brutal, but I'm constantly following Destiny's mantra, "Be brave." Taking so many risks and kicking ass. But with all that I've done, there's very little reward for the risks I've taken. Even worse, sometimes at the end I'll just get experience and a story item, but nothing else. Not to mention the daily story hero strikes have given absolutely nothing in the end, each time I've played both solo and with a party.
Bungie, fix this! And not just for me, but for all of us who feel the same way!

1 返信I did the weekly heroic story mode and at the end didn't get a solid piece of gear. They gave no reward. Was hella pissed haha

9 通の返信You guys know you can buy exotic weapons and armor by upgrading your vanguard and/or crucible marks and rank right? Every vendor has exotic weapons and armor you just need to level up and get a bunch of marks, then buy them. Finding them is pure luck, but you CAN buy exotic stuff all over the Tower.

16 通の返信Me and a buddy have been getting Rare gear constantly and each have a Legendary other friend can't get guns for the life of him he is still stuck with greens because he CAN NOT get a rare gun drop. So don't complain about not having Legendaries. XD Rares are fine you probably will only need Legendaries for the Raid and you have plenty of time to get one by then. You think you are annoyed all 3 of us play together so my one friend has been sitting there watching us rake in Rare guns like nothing he is absolutely PISSED.

1 返信They didn't mention anything about increasing loot drop for solo-ing. So try to play with pub or friends whenever possible.

Just so you know, i agree with you... So far... Grinding does not make a game great IMO I like it balanced, there needs to be a carrot for gamers that max have 5 hours each week... "Don't play the game then" but I want to! It's a cool universe and i like the concept and would hate missing out, but in the end it could end up me leaving the title... (My statistics about how much time i've spendt are bugged btw, if you guys check my profile) But maybe, just maybe it will get rewarding in the long run.... I just know the first really good piece of gear i will get is either a sniper or gun, the worst! :p

[spoiler]Not really...[/spoiler] First and foremost: Getting legendaries is nothing but luck. Those crazy stories of getting exotic auto rifles from level 1 Dregs are just luck. It doesn't matter how many bosses you kill by yourself or how many strikes you clear. It's all randomized and it's all about luck. How do you make sure you secure a legendary? Repetition. Can it get monotonous? Yes, but luckily the gameplay is solid enough to keep most people entertained for a while. Just keep at it. You won't get showered in cool shit just because you took down some big monster once or twice. The game would literally have no replay value if that happened. Keep at it a few dozen times and see what you find.

3 通の返信Keep going, its legendary and exotic for a reason. Borderlands fed us weapons of high rarity on a regular basis, Destiny doesn't seem to do that and I, for one, appreciate it. Also, after having pulled a few legendary engrams, one from an especially difficult strike run, I wasn't prepared for the fact they the legendary engrams seem to have a higher rare item drop rate than legendary. :/

6 通の返信You mostly need to buy Legendary Gear. You will RARELY get it as a reward. You have to work towards Vanguard/Crucible Marks and raising your Vanguard/Crucible Reputation.

11 通の返信Level 20 Legendary weapons and armour seems to be the second best kind of lot in the game right now, i recommend constantly doing a mission with a lot of enemies and a certain route.I usually do earth patrol in rocket yard to get loads of engrams.And I see legendaries are quite expensive to buy I'd rather farm them.

3 通の返信I kinda agree with u. While I don't expect to have full legendary gear at level 21, I do expect to have SOMETHING. I am running full rare gear, but my chest piece is a level 14 for crying out loud. No legendaries in sight and I've done the heroic strike and story. I've also ran many level 20 strikes

5 通の返信Dont give up. I have not gotten any legendary items myself from strikes but my teammates seems to get one every once in a while BUT the good thing is in almost every run,I end up getting slightly better rare armor with more light so its not all for nothing.

3 通の返信Umm dude legendary and above gear is suposed be very hard to get and very rare. You have to do alot to get it. If your 22 rares are pretty common and good gear to hold you over til you find exotic and legendary gear
