Hey all! Just going to keep this short and simple; was it good money spent?
I'd like to keep this to people who have bought the game, and not just those who have played it, but do share your opinion below... though you can get those everywhere right now XD.
I posted this to get a quick, clear, and general consensus on the B.net community's opinion; As reading through the myriad of posts makes getting a clear picture nigh impossible.

My rating: Yes. Absolutely. I bought the Xbox 360 Ghost Edition for $300 (I was having trouble finding an Xbox One version), and then bought a standard Xbox One version. Additionally, I spent another $100 in paraphernalia. So that's ~$500 all together including tax and shipping charges.
And having spent all this money... I am thoroughly pleased with the product I got.
Now what about you guardians...
EDIT: September 14th, 2014: Wow guys and gals, you guys really hit up this poll and gave some good feedback! Almost all of the responses have been positive, and the critical ones have been reasonable. I was trying to reply to everyone who posted here, but it started getting up to 30+ everyday and I just couldn't keep up with you guys. Sorry, but y'all were cutting into my Destiny time XD.
So sorry to everyone who I didn't respond too and won't respond to. But know that thanks to all of you who posted, not only have my concerns about Destiny's reception been lifted, but many others as well. And some people have even decided to buy the game based on this topic.
We've all come together and said "Oh yeah... this game has a lot of issues. But you know what... It's -Blaming!- fun!"
So good work gals and guys. We've done a good thing.
Now if you all don't mind... me and my friend are on a midnight binge of Destiny. Got to get ready for the Vault of Glass don't ya know.
P.S.
(This section just presents some of my opinions on some of the hot criticisms being thrown around... read at your own risk.)
-Not liking the game does not mean the game is bad... from a technical or market stand point.
-Feel free to HATE Destiny... I hate DOTA and LOL. But don't try to make others hate it.
-People, if someone doesn't like Destiny... don't attack and belittle them. God forbid they have an opinion XD.
-DLC's aren't inherently bad, they are often abused and misused by the industry. But the concept is solid. I trust Bungie to do DLC right. And by calling them expansions (implying large add-ons) I think they are well on there way.
-Remember people, words are clunky and suck at getting thoughts from one persons brain to another persons brain. Don't take them to literally or seriously.

9 通の返信Nope, keep getting disconnected by "centipede" and all Bungie is saying: open some ports and change NAT type to open. Tried that and it didn't work. I can barely play a mission without getting disconnected every 5 minutes. I've never had any trouble playing multiplayer games on my Xbox so I'm pretty sure the problem isn't on my end. Some of my friends have the exact same problem. I've been patient for the first 3 days but now it's just getting annoying since there's no fix in sight. Starting to have doubts about purchasing the Collector's Edition, it's making me into a cynical person... I don't like that.

straight up it has its faults but its definatly worth the money to anyone thats willing to actually put effort in my friend bought game went through story missions once on easy and never picked game up again and complained he did it in a day so i txt him a list of things he never did 1) crucible 2) hard mode story missions 3) impossible story missions 4) lvl 18-20-22-24 strikes and im not sure he ever did the normal strikes either 5) never earned vanguard/crucible marks 6) never did ranks 7) never got past lvl 20 8) grimoirs (dont think i will go this far unless they not stupid like kill 500000) 9) never done random events 10) not done raids his reply was this game was not worth the money i cleared it ion 12 hours all that stuff is just extra content that is pointless so i gave up its worth the money you get alot of hours to £/$ ration based on the amount of things to do (even if it is a bit grindy)

I've been happy with all of the Story Missions thus far, though I'm still trekking through Venus. Plus, the Exo Stranger (Future War Cult?) and Awoken Queen (Dead Orbit?) seem pretty awesome. I feel like they represent the three factions at the tower pretty well, when combined with the Speaker for New Monarchy. Destiny is going to be a 10 year slow burn. If you expected 10 years worth of content up front, I can see why you'd be disappointed. But Bungie has laid the foundation for something awesome, in my opinion, and I'm interested to see where they take it next. As of now, I'm happy with my purchase, and as far as I can tell, it's all up from here.

3 通の返信Extremely happy! It's amazing how many people blame Bungie for Destiny being a bad game. This is the first of its kind! Not only do you get a full experience of multiplier, but you also get to explore whole worlds, collect loot, fight bosses, grind through strikes, and much more! Grow up and leave this forum if you gonna complain.

10 通の返信An unsatisfied customer. I got the limited edition, and since I was at college, the package was shipped to my hometown. So I also got the digital edition because I wanted play day 1. It's the end of day 3 and, I haven't even played a minute of it, because it just flat out doesn't work. If only I had known, I wouldn't had spent so much on a game that doesn't even work.

Yes, although technically, I didn't buy the game. I pre-ordered Destiny for Xbox 360, but my friend said that if I spent the money to buy and Xbox One, he'd pay for a copy of Destiny for me on Xbox One. ( I didn't have enough money for both.) Anyway, yes, absolutely. Made it level 20 yesterday, because... what is a life? Happy with my switch to Titan. (Was a Hunter in the beta.) I'll be playing for... too long, later today. Just like yesterday. And the day before...

I traded in a few games I was never going to play again. So I ended up getting the game for free. Plus money off another game I'm planning to buy when it's released. And you know what? I got this game for free. But even if I didn't. I probably would've bought it. I'm seriously considering buying the Season Pass if I'm still playing when the first DLC comes. The support from Bungie, such as the new additions are all great, and I genuinely feel - at this point - this is a caring developer. So am I happy with it? Hell yes. It's not the greatest game in the world. But it's a damn fun game to play with friends. I think the main problem with the game is that it was completely Overhyped. I was never interested in this game, but I caved a few days before release and pre-ordered it. So going in with very little expectations and coming out feeling this good about it? Hell yeah!

1 返信Yes, because unlike many people I make sure I know exactly what the game is before I buy it. This game is about Multi-player and loot grinding/collecting. Yes, bosses take awhile to beat. This is not Call of Duty, and even though it has many Halo Elements, it is not Halo either. It is a Shooter/RPG/MMO hybrid. If you didnt know what you were buying before you did, thats your issue.

Very happy. It's a very good MMO FPS and RPG all rolled into one. I'm having a blast in PvE as the exploring and finding tons of places and events has always been one of my favorite things to do in an MMO. And even the Crucible is fun, and that's coming from someone who doesn't like matchmaking in most games. The loot drops are up there with some of the highest quality RPG's, and the variance in missions you can pick up while out exploring is a good way to keep the game fresh. Very high replay value and lifespan for this game. Possibly one of the best monetary expenditures I've made in a while. So yes, I'm very happy with Destiny.

Got it on Xbox One. Yes, I'm happy with it. I got the digital version because it's an online-only game, so it will probably be available for re-download for as long as it's playable on the service. The thing I'm not so happy with is that I don't have the Inner Chamber emblem, despite having played Halo 2, 3, ODST and Reach on Xbox 360. It's a shame because it's probably caused by some technicality. Maybe it requires more than just having played the games, like logging into Bungie.net during the lifetime of all those games, or using the site some time in the recent past. I've only played the first level, to get to the tower. It will take a while to experience the wholeness of the game, since I don't have all day to play games these days, but I'm sure there's plenty for me to enjoy.

1 返信In a word...YES. In a few more than one word...Destiny is the reason I upgraded to PS4 now as opposed to 2015. I've not felt a single bit disappointed in the investment, either in the console or the game.
