And I agree but not for the reason she states. I’m 43 year old professional with two kids and I play video games. Always have from the day video games were played in the Arcade. She cannot believe I would take time off work for the rest of the week to play a game. She asks me when I’m going to grow up. Well… honestly if grown-ups don’t play video games I really don’t want to grow up. As far a vacation time goes, the last vacation we took was at Christmas last year and we took a south Carrabin cruise for 7 days. Now, that was expensive and by the 6th day all I wanted was to go home and eat some real home cooking. After this vacation (at home with Destiny) I will only be wanting more and this is my idea of a vacation. Go to faraway places, meet new people, try new things, drink too much and maybe get into a fight. All this from the comfort of my lazy-boy and on plasma and the bathroom is right across the hall next to the fridg.
Thanks for all the support guys, some real good stuff here to read.

1 返信My wife can't stand the thought of me playing Destiny for more than an hour, but has no problem watching TV for five hours straight when she's home from work.

MrPellaeonにより編集済み: 9/29/2014 3:10:44 PMI'm 36 years old and I play destiny a lot and absolutely love this game. Yet the funny thing is my common law girlfriend/wife of five years now who's age 39 complain's about me playing Destiny with comments such as "don't you get tired of that game?". Trying to explain it's an MMO of sorts and that it takes time to level up a character and work on it falls on deaf ears and she may say sometimes it's a stupid game. It's like some women just don't understand gaming. But yet I don't make fun of her hobby playing Fashion Story, Restaurant Story, Nightclub Story, Candy Crush, and whatever new flavor of the month flash game is popular on facebook for women that's a candy crush clone. :P But on the flipside I can usually keep her happy with my gaming habits if I do the occasional chores around our place to help her out such as doing the dishes, taking out the garbage, some occasional cooking etcetera! When she's at work and i'm home it's a nice break to just be able to "game in peace" so to speak. ;)

I am 38 and am very lucky my wife is supportive of my gaming habits. As long as I don't go full Korean on games (do nothing but play until I die from it), she's cool. Every once in a while I have to log out and do the needful, but I don't mind. Keep gaming, my friends. Keep gaming!

2 通の返信I'm 43 and my husband is 50. We've taken the week off to play Destiny. It's our vaction time, we'll do what we want! It's not like we're calling in sick pretending we have West Nile or something. My mom used to tell me to grow up and act my age. The last time she said this to me I told her that until she can show me a book specifically outlining how all people are to act at certain ages, I was going to do what made me happy outside of adult responsibilities. Besides, my enjoyment of gaming is partly her fault, ever since she bought me that Atari so long ago.

Is she hot....? Women don't care about you gaming (unless it is really seriously impacting on life, i.e. missing work...not eating....), its that you are spending more time and attention on that, than them, when they want attention... In all seriousness, I'm converting my garage into a 'her room' so GF can spend time doing her stuff without harassing me while I play games.....she does not like being relegated to the kitchen as she says it...to watch her dopey rubbish....

My wife joking calls herself my Destiny widow, but at the same time is glad i dont go out drinking and womanizing. As far as shes concerned having video gaming as my only vice is a good thing (tm) as long as i help out around the house and log out when its time for eastenders hehehe shes the party animal who goes out drinking with her girlfriends on the weekend and i pick them up at 3am. Do i mind staying up so late to pick them up? Naaaah, its ok love I'll find something to do, just call when youre ready... (mentally planning a VoG raid) She also plays computer games herself, but normally on PC, so cant argue too hard lol :)
