Bayonets...
Anyone know if they will be useable in any way in the final game?

The Monte Carlo has a bayonet on it. When you deal damage it reduced your melee cooldown timer. So like someone said below while they're in the game, it's likely they buff your stats instead of replacing your melee in game.

5 通の返信I think it's mainly an indicator to certain melee upgrades in the skill tree. As in, a gun with a bayonet may reduce the cool down of your melee... My guess. Same with armors too, gauntlets with daggers tucked away will more than likely grant melee boosts.
