Seriously? They have a rougher time than most drug addicts do in terms of the amount of abuse they get. It's just a -blam!-ing cigarette, let them smoke in peace for god's sake and none of this "SECOND HAND SMOKE IS R@PING ME" bs. Poor bastards need to be given some slack, it's their choice not yours and rollin' down a window is good enough, deal with it.

4 通の返信Tell me about it I work in a full service restaurant. We have a company policy that if employees are caught smoking before during or after their shift or anywhere near any store location even on our days off it is grounds for termination of employment. If you even come in smelling even the slightest bit like smoke to any store to eat on a day off you are canned. Also if you are driving home in your uniform (which is a black tee shirt and blue jeans) and the owner or manager sees you you are done. God I hate living near California.

Its all about responsibility, but most smokers arent responsible about their smoking behaviors. And those that tell you not to smoke are just worried about your health. All smoking does is diminish your life but yet people still do it. Its like committing a slow processed suicide. Its one thing to smoke, but its so over populated nowadays that people do it everywhere, which affects non smokers harshly. Smoking is like a slowly processed suicide and euthanasia to others. You can practically commit murder with smoking, but yet its allowed. Just like drinking. People drink too much, get drunk, drive, and run over someone. But yet alcohol is still allowed? But yet theyre trying to get rid of guns? Its not the item that kills, its the person using it. But the problem with smoking and drinking is most people dont take responsibility. Plus, the effects smoking has on YOU. Ever been near someone who smokes all the time? Yeah, you can smell the smoke on them from like ten feet or more. Its really disgusting. All smoking does is affect your life and others. Thats why theres a lot of hate on it. I mean think about a baby who has white trash parents who smoke anywhere, even inside the house? I see that as abuse in a way because the kid has no control over it. That kid gets asthma/cancer/etc. leads to a lot of deformities/retarded (dont laugh at retarded, its a real deal) and others problems based on irresponsibility. And if you think rolling down a window in a car works? Trust me, it doesnt. Again, irresponsibility.

5 通の返信Why is marijuana demonized, even when it's (opinion) better for you than cigarettes?

1 返信Second hand smoke is proven to cause cancer. If my kids legally can't smoke, they should also not be forced to breathe in someone's life ending mistake. Second hand smoke is actually more harmful, because there's no fliter. Plus global warming.... nuf said

It's like saying "Aluminium" instead of "Aluminum". Stop adding fucking letters into words to change them, half of the differences are pointless and just ruin the words. I'll give you colours instead of colors, and a few others, but saying demonizing with an 's' in it should point out how shat up it sounds to anyone with an education higher than 3rd grade.

3 通の返信I developed asthma from secondhand smoke alone, so it's not like it never has an effect. Also, as someone who works in a halfway house, I have to disagree with your suggestion that most drug addicts get less abuse. That is extremely untrue. Drug offenses very often prevent people from getting simple jobs, as many places run CORI's and will not hire anyone with offenses, particularly felonies (which include many drug-related offenses). Simply carrying a certain amount of drugs is a felony. Not the same with cigarettes. And no, we should not demonize anyone.

MightyJonEにより編集済み: 8/23/2014 11:34:34 AMWell, smoking and even second-hand smoke has been scientifically proven to cause cancer and other medical problems; nicotine is also an addictive drug - just because tobacco and even alcohol are currently legal in most western countries (they weren't always), it doesn't make them any less dangerous and addictive as any other drug

I don't see an issue, as long as they don't make me do it I don't give a shit. Yes it might not be appealing to you and I being a non smoker completely know why but it won't kill you to treat people who do different things with respect. And don't say "but Der health!" because let's be honest you don't care about their health you just find it disgusting and justify for them to stop by pulling this excuse.
